The latest episode of Reese Witherspoon’s new series for AT&T, Shine on with Reese should be called “Kick Ass Women in Cars Talking Kiddies.” In it, the actress chats with singer Pink. Pink is currently on her Beautiful Trauma tour in Australia, and has her kids with husband Carey Hart, 18-month-old son Jameson and seven-year-old daughter Willow, in tow.
Pink admits that “Going on tour with children is really tricky. It’s exhausting. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done.” She adds that while it might be difficult, “I’m very, very fortunate that I get to bring my kids with me and that I kind of get to integrate them into my [work] life.”
While driving with Reese, Pink recalled a conversation with her daughter about their travels in Europe, particularly a trip to Berlin and its Holocaust memorial. While visiting the site, Willow, who is of Jewish ancestry herself, mused “Well, then this could have been us.” Pink shared:
“I asked [Willow] by the time we got to London, I said, ‘What was your favorite city?’ And she said, ‘I think it was Berlin.’ And I said, ‘Why?’ And she said, ‘Because there was a wall and people were separated, and there was a war and people were killed, and now everybody’s together and there’s no more wall and there’s no more war and that means everything that’s bad can be good again.’ And I’m just listening to her and I’m like, ‘You’re amazing and you’re totally right: Everything that’s bad can be good again.’”
I’m jealous of the amazing experiences Willow is sharing with her mother, and I think it’s cool that Pink takes the kids on the road. If nothing else, the photos from the family travels have definitely upped the cute factor on her Instagram feed.
As much as she admits it’s good to have her kids see how hard she works to achieve her dreams, she told Redbook last month that “When touring stops working for the kids, if they decide they just want to be home and have a normal life, whatever that means, I’ll stop, because they are by far the priority.”
Pink continues to be #goals for me and I respect her for always speaking her truth. She told Reese that “I cannot tell you the amount of times I’ve been told to ‘Shut up, sit down, sweetheart, and sing. Why should I not have an opinion?” She’s confronted trolls and triumphed. She admitted “I like to say I’m a realist, which actually means I’m a pessimist.”

Went to her concert recently. She is an amazing performer and an inspiration!
Same! It was the best pop show I’ve ever seen. She is an incredible live performer! The whole climax where she’s singing So What and literally flying around the arena…. stunning, incredible, amazing…. it gave me chills. I’ve been a fan of hers since the beginning and it fills my heart to see her get so much love and acknowledgement.
I don’t think there is a celeb I love more than Pink. She’s so refreshing.
I love Pink
I’m a bit jealous that Reese gets to hang pie with all these empowering women. What an adventure. So much fun.
I’m also not an optimistic
I’m a combination of a realist and idealist. I know what it is now, but I know it can get better.
I adore Pink. Her words are honest, empathetic, human, resonating and grateful.
I love that she has this vibe that says; Look, I’m not perfect but neither are you…so let’s do this together and be the best we can.”
To me, THAT is a true artist; not just musically, but compassionately, soulfully.
Always related to her music.
Probably always will
❤
Damn I love her – would LOVE to see her in concert. Also love the way she shuts down trolls and haters. I also agree that to be a realist often means that you are a pessimist.
I will definitely be interested in anyone who has her tour info. I would take my kid and go.
I don’t know where you’re located but she’s finished up the North American leg of her tour for now. She’s coming back to the US in the Spring and tickets are already on sale. Go to ticketmaster if you’re in the USA, otherwise check her Facebook where all her other dates are posted.
It’s totally worth it – she’s incredible live.
i love pink ❤
Pink is amazing and so underrated. She was the anti-Britney who ended up having a solid career and a good head on her shoulders.
She just seems like a blooming great person.
P!nk is the only artist I would ever pay $200 to see (3 times)…and trust me, shes worth every penny!!
