Either Angelina Jolie has a previously undiscovered cutting sense of humor, or she was pissed at Brad last week. “In Touch” is reporting that Jolie said that sometimes Brad should just sit there and “look pretty.” Well he is good at looking pretty, maybe she was just being honest. Jolie’s conversation was overheard while she had a drink with a friend at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York.

“Angelina Jolie gave an uncensored peek into the life she shares with Brad Pitt during a conversation with a friend in New York City. The actress, who was overheard by an In Touch reporter, shared some harsh words about her partner as she sat in Sir Harry’s bar at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel on September 5. “The reality is that we are not a company together. Things should be separate,” she told a male friend as she nursed a glass of red wine. “I think you know that I make my own financial decisions. Brad knows there are times when he should just be quiet and look pretty.”

I have this theory that “In Touch” has reporters with suped up hearing aids strategically placed throughout the city. You can recognize them because they’re constantly falling over and writhing on the sidewalk in pain whenever a car horn blares. Seriously, they do seem to have a lot of reporters who happen to overhear conversations that celebs otherwise wouldn’t share. But, for the sake of argument, let’s say it’s true: Angelina is pretty darn funny.

I used to think Brad Pitt was all brawn and no brain, but he actually doesn’t appear all that dumb in interviews. I’d even go so far as to say he comes off as reasonably intelligent for Hollywood. He has that do-gooder instinct, likes kids, and has a love of modern architecture. Sure it doesn’t make him Socrates (also a well known hottie of his time) but he’s no Britney Spears either. I would presume the guy can handle money well enough, but who knows. We all have our weaknesses – I can’t do anything more complicated than long division. Angelina apparently feels similarly about Brad. But if you can only do one thing, do it well. And Brad does the best job of looking pretty I’ve ever seen.
