If you’re already tired of hearing about the Bradley Cooper/Lady Gaga version of A Star is Born, I’ve got some bad news for you. The film has been getting rave reviews and there’s already Oscar talk.
Bradley and Gaga have shared tales of their first meeting over an evening of pasta and piano, and Bradley insisting on seeing his co-star sans fards. The two have also spent a considerable amount of time talking each other up. Bradley says Gaga is a “revelation”, Gaga says they had an “instant connection”, and so on.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Gaga said she felt “humbled and happy” to be a part of Bradley’s directorial debut. While she tried to convince us that she was unable to properly articulate what a great experience she had working with B. Coop, she gave it quite the old college try.
”He’s so talented. And he’s such a visionary and so brilliant, it could just make me cry. I just believe in him so much, and I believed in him before he came to my home.”
“I just thought he was one of the most brilliant actors in the world and then when I met him in person, he was one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. When we were together we were just so comfortable together and this whole thing that’s happening is beautiful.”
“Anytime you make art and people receive it and feel something, you feel that you’ve communicated to the world. That’s why we are artists. That’s our form of communication. Through art.”
Not to be outdone, Bradley Cooper returned the praise during a weepy interview that aired on Monday’s Good Morning America, where he said of his co-star, “I’m just so glad God gave her the talent that she has and he chose her, because that’s quite a vessel to go through. Because it’s really what you do with it, and she’s such a beautiful human being.” You don’t really have to watch the interview, it’s all been said before, but this interview marks the first appearance of the sigh-worthy Sam Elliott, who heaps praise on Gaga and Bradley.
Yes, it’s a hacky story. Yes, we all know how it’s going to end. Yes, all of these interviews are totally extra. That being said, I’m still excited to see this movie. I’ve seen all three previous versions and I am curious to see Gaga and Cooper’s take on the story…and I can never say no to Sam. #gar4eva

I’m here for it! Take my money!
Lady Gaga is so phony to me
Agreed, and I will never forgive her for throwing Black women and girls under the bus by recording with that pedophile RK
But, how long ago were those allegations made public? Is it possible that she didn’t know about them when she worked with R.Kelly?
Thank you. I agree 100%. I have never once fallen for her act and I can’t believe everyone doesn’t see it.
I can’t wait. Watched the GMA interview with the main cast and teared up a little and their obvious connection and bond. I think the chemistry between the cast is going to be amazing. I already have a group of friends going opening night and I’m super stoked.
First, I’m actually excited for this film. Second, guuuuuuuuuys, maybe it’s time to stop this “omg she/he is the bestest of the best ever” nonsense already. It’s kinda pathetic.
The instapic with the hotel carpets… why are hotel carpets always sooooooo bad😣
The worse looking they are optically…the better they are at hiding dirt and stains!!!!!
The plastic surgery hurts my eyes.
Does anybody think they might end up together?
They’re laying it on thick
They really are. I read the Vogue interview and eyerolled all over the place. https://www.vogue.com/article/lady-gaga-vogue-cover-october-2018-issue
One of my FAVORITE romantic/tragic movies is 1955’s “Love is a many splendor thing” and William Holden and Jennifer Jones could not STAND each other while they were making it…it got to the point where Jones would eat onions before her kissing scenes with Holden…yet, you NEVER saw that tension onscreen….and there was a lot of that same tension between Judy Garland and James Mason during the other remake of the “Star Is Born”….
So…the tradition…continues…
I was never intrigued by the earlier versions of this movie so I’m not excited about this reboot. These two seem insufferable.
Didn’t an earlier post say they in reality they barely talk? This is overcompensating.
I’m hoping this has blown its load too early, and the real contenders aren’t well-known yet. Personally, I’m rooting for Glenn Close for Best Actress.
Two fart sniffers amassing more wealth that they couldn’t possibly spend in a lifetime. Pass.
