Details of Beyonce’s backstage behavior make her seem like a demanding diva who thinks she’s above the masses. She insists that none of the local staff look at her or talk to her while she’s on tour, and people are even instructed to get the hell out of her way if she’s coming.
Her backstage demands involve white linen draped over everything, including the floor, which her people smooth out for her after she walks on it. She treats her crew to the finest gourmet cuisine while making the people from the venue eat subs, and she’s said to be super rude and demanding.
“All the local staff were instructed by Beyonce’s people not to look at her, speak to her or approach her,” the source tells Star. “The staff were actually told before the show that if Beyonce was coming down the hall, you were to find an unlocked room and immediately go into it, out of her presence… no one could remember diva behavior this bad before!”
Beyonce’s people have also demanded that most of the backstage area be covered with what appeared to be white linen, says the source, who adds: “It was all over the walls and the furniture in her dressing room. It was even spread out on the backstage walkway like a ‘red carpet’ for Beyonce – and one of her people even had to smooth out the wrinkles after she passed by!”
While everything possible was being done for her, Beyonce and her people didn’t seem to be in a giving mood themselves, said the source. “Most acts will share their catered gourmet food with the backstage staff – but that wasn’t the case this time. So while Beyonce and her crew lunched on lobster tail and filet mignon, each of the local staff had to make do with a three-inch subway sandwich, an apple and a bottle of water!”

I’ve heard before that Beyonce insists on white linen over everything, but the fact that she’s rude and doesn’t like people talking or looking at her is news to me. The article also includes a story about how she snapped at a wardrobe person for a scuff on her shoe saying “You ain’t gonna make me roll like that!”
Beyonce puts on an great performance, and she actually sings, not that it’s an adequate excuse for being so uptight and demanding about everything. At least she’s talented and it’s pulling the diva act without something to back it up.
I wonder if I’d get a sense of entitlement if I had tens of thousands of people screaming adoringly at me in venues all around the world. Of course I would. For me that level of fame would involve a personal sushi chef who was also skilled in the art of hibachi cooking. I love when they make those volcano things on the grill right in front of you. I would let the plebians look me in eye and talk to me though. I mean, I would have invested so much in my face by that point.
Beyonce was seen out with new hair yesterday. The snotty singer now has a dark black weave instead of a light brown one. She is pictured leaving the party for the launch of Diddy’s new perfume “Unforgivable Woman.” Thanks to Splash News for the pic.
