It was amazing. The comments I have read over the last three months have gone from people predominantly defending him, to only a few diehards defending him, to overwhelming derision and mochery for this tool. Gayle King bieng an absolute boss, him openly confirming that he is involved with these girls whose parents “sold” them to him, him referring to himself in the third person. The response is resoundingly “Fry him.” There will be riots in the street if he is not put in jail.

  2. me says:

    R. Kelly is a great actor. F*cking pos !

    • Susan says:

He was not acting – this is who he is. This is an illiterate and stupid fool who does not think beyond his.nose. Just lock the fool up now because this is now a tragicomedy and a nauseating one at that
      .

  3. maryann says:

He is a nut job!!!! He is so full of crap, its almost painful to watch him try so hard to BS Gayle! He is lying through his teeth

    • Cali says:

And he has poor hygiene and can’t read according to some other reports I read. He is a sick sick man who will be in prison soon thankfully.

      • Valois says:

He can read and write but only on an extremely basic level (acc to several people in the documentary) so hes definitely not fully literate. It was brought up in the documentary several times not to shame him (cause learning disabilities are no one‘s fault) but in relation to how many times his handlers must have helped him abuse these women (for example his ex-wife said someone must have bought the plane tickets for these girls cause he wouldn’t have been able to do it literacy-wise)

  4. Mia4s says:

Bravo Gayle, you gave him the proverbial rope and sure enough he hung himself with it. Masterful interviewing.

But FFS, if we just had a peak behind the curtain I have even more questions for his managers, “people”, and professional collaborators. WTF were you doing with this monster in your life?!?!? Even once?!?!?

    • BlueSky says:

Everyone in his crew needs to be charged. There is no f@cking way the people around him did not know he was doing this and were complicit in this sh@t.

      • Megan says:

THIS! They were accessories to the crime.

      • Jem says:

In “Surviving R. Kelly” many of his crew are interviewed. They all knew what was going on, helped him find girls to prey upon, and helped him cover it up. They all totally incriminated themselves in the documentary and hopefully will be charged as accessories.

      • lucy2 says:

Excellent point. He didn’t do all this alone.

      • Tiffany :) says:

        I totally agree.

As a society, we need to put a heavy price on enabling abusers. Just like with Penn State or the Catholic Church, there were those that looked the other way or supported systems that allow predators to thrive. There needs to be consequences. If the law doesn’t support that, we need to change the law.

    • AG-UK says:

Don’t want to lose their meal ticket. Turn a blind eye all complicit.

  5. Bebe says:

Why are we giving this creature (he’s not a man) a platform to say anything?! We’ve known for decades that he’s a predator in the worst way and he’s spent that time not only proclaiming his innocence but continuing his crimes. He’s done talking. And I’m sure he didn’t do this interview for free so now people are actively contributing to his defense by giving him funds.

    • pottymouth pup says:

probably because he’s dumb enough to say things that incriminate himself (see Toure interview)

his assertion that any girl he had a relationship with that has now ended could talk shit about him – completely ignoring that many of those women were 16 and younger when he was “in a relationship” with them.

The video showing the one girls’ mom trying to visit her, then being set up for a meeting later to be threatened w/trespassing charges and everything with the girl’s escape shows that those women don’t have to be physically changed to be held captive, and that he & his minions are keeping women against their will

    • Vintage says:

I’m glad he did the interview. He cooked his own goose. Another man that has had so many yes people yakking at him he has lost touch with reality.

    • Christina says:

I agree with what you’re saying, except for one thing. He is a man. By denying this, we assume that men are not capable of doing these horrible thing. And yes, they are. R. Kelly is a man who did horrible things.

  6. intheknow says:

His comment that parents ‘sold’ him the girls..ugh, 1000x times worse now. He thinks it was OK because ‘they were sold’ to him, like property? He is gross and should be locked up for 150 years

    • Megan says:

Surely someone in his orbit was aware that “selling” children = sex trafficking.

    • Tiffany :) says:

He was such a fool for saying that. I think it was a flash of honesty, but it also confirmed criminal activity.

      • intheknow says:

@megan, indeed. Now I am thinking the parents of these girls should be on trial with him. Also, anyone with knowledge who turned a blind eye.

@tiffany, yup. I bet you his lawyer and PR people will ‘coach’ the crap out of him on what not to say.

I can’t believe he feels it was OK to have sex with kids because they were ‘sold’ to him. I want to vomit. What about the ones that weren’t ‘sold’ to him? Did he reject those ones?

  7. Steff says:

Standing ovation for Gayle. She handled this like an expert. 👏👏👏👏

    • Nev says:

      WORD.

    • Tiffany :) says:

Seriously, Gayle deserves tons of praise. When I saw the clips last night, I said out loud, “Holy Sh*t! Someone is actually putting the facts in his face.”

He’s been so surrounded by sycophants and yes men that he’s never challenged on his BS. It was so satisfying to watch.

She made him look so bad by being so calm herself. The contrast was remarkable.

      • Wasabi says:

No, HE made himself look bad by loosing his temper because a woman refused his attempts at manipulation. He is so clearly an abuser.

      • Tiffany :) says:

He did make himself look bad but, yes, her calm demeanor made him look even worse. I stand by my comment. When people get loud it is human nature to match or top the intensity. She didn’t try to rise to his level, even though he was trying to provoke her. She did a great job. The contrasts was striking, which is why the photo of him flailing around while she sits stoically has gone viral.

    • Original T.C. says:

I loved how she sat there calmly and did the parent call, saying your proper name when you act like a brat “ Roobertttt”. LMAO

    • isabelle says:

Like a mother watching a kid throw a tantrum and meets it with a yawn. New respect for Gayle.

  8. Babadook says:

I didn’t know who Danielle Staub was but I thought it was that girl Courtney Stodden before I clicked into the link. God, I miss talking about her.

    • lucy2 says:

She really disappeared, huh? I just looked her up, apparently she divorced that old dude last year.

  9. Vintage says:

Gayle King should give lessons on how to interview and maintain your cool. Very impressive and I hope the idiots in charge take notice.

  10. SpilldatT says:

Hey does anyone have a link to the full interview?

I missed it & want to watch it badly so I can laugh at R. Kelly.

  11. Veronica S. says:

Let that POS rot in prison, I’m too busy celebrating Mr. Rogers. F*ck yeah, straighties, TAKE THAT. Bisexual energy beamed into your homes into the faces of your children on the daily, on your watch!

  12. Originaluna says:

Someone on twitter pointed out an interesting fact.
When Gayle asks him point blank if hes slept with underage girls he says no while nodding, and When she asks if they are lying he says absolutely whike shaking his head.
His body language absolutely betrayed him.
What a FOOL. And he nasty. Yuck

  13. jammypants says:

From the male reactions to Captain Marvel, to Kavanaugh, to R Kelly, I’d love for the stereotype that women are too emotional to go away 😒

  14. Lithe says:

I really don’t know how to feel about all of this now. When RK was a hitmaker and had money to pay people off, his predatory, controlling, harmful, disturbing, and disgusting behaviour was ignored, denied, covered up, or excused. For the people whose spirits were lifted up by his music, for whom it evoked romance and joy, they didn’t seem to realize or care that the fuel for his feel-good music was an unending stream of underage girls he used, degraded, and cast aside. My unpopular opinion is that he’s not far off from the truth in saying their parents sold them to him. Long after it was public knowledge that he had groomed 12 yo Aaliyah and peed on another child, parents were still taking their children to him to be made into stars. And lots of people accepted payoffs to either look the other way or procure girls for him. He was untouchable when he was making hits and could afford the payoffs.

So I’m side-eying the powerful people who now have the “courage” to speak out against him now that he is broke. I’m not impressed with them bravely confronting a toothless declawed lion. The only thing I’m glad about is that if he ends up being behind bars, his access to potential victims will be cut off.

Who’d have thunk a guy who performed heart felt love songs wasn’t actually living it? Go figure.
