Well, the full-length trailer for Avengers: Endgame just dropped. Again, I know this movie will make billions and billions of dollars. We already know that this is the last Marvel movie for several actors. So Marvel is really going all out! The structure of Endgame seems to be “the remains of the Avengers assemble to mope around and then finally do something.” So, here you go:
Lots of Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Robert Downey Jr. This is RDJ’s last one, correct? And I’m pretty sure it’s Chris Evans’ last one too, but who knows. When Marvel pulls up the money truck, anything is possible. Was I alone in spending the entire trailer waiting for an appearance of Captain Marvel? Finally, they put her in at the very end, where she’s staring down Thor. It’s a good little introduction to Captain Marvel within the Avengers world, although I wish they had chosen a clip where she gets to speak, you know? But what does it even matter, just go with the flow. Everyone will see this movie. It will make eleventy billion dollars.
GUYS TONY IS WITH THEM. OUR MAN IS THERE HE IS HE IS HE IS

OMG I’m dying
Thank god I am a big comic fan. I don’t feel like i have much pleasure these past two odd years. But no one can take this from me. I will be there!
I’m really excited too, mainly because I am convinced that Captain Marvel will somehow be able to un-Snap some things and bring some people back (I don’t know the comics very well, but I’m convinced that at the very least T’Challa and Peter Parker will come back…?)
I honestly can’t wait to see this movie, and I haven’t felt that way about any superhero film – DC or Marvel – since Black Panther.
I think it will be with Ant Man and his quantum thing and maybe with the help of Shuri, Bruce and Tony 🙂
The next MCU film after Endgame is Spider-Man Far From Home and there are clips of it out there, so Peter Parker does survive. But how?
From what I’ve read, Captain Marvel can time travel, so perhaps that’s how she reverses things? No idea, though.
The Captain Marvel can time travel thing was a red herring planted by a Samuel L Jackson. He was just messing around. She can’t time travel, so it’s not that.
Same here. So excited to see how this all plays out. We already know not everything thay they show in the trailers is actually in the movie. I’m curious to see how the Russo brothers pull this off. They haven’t failed me yet
Long time lurker…but couldn’t stop myself from jumping in on the Marvel Frenzy. Can’t wait for Endgame. I cant help but wonder what the future holds for Marvel though, maybe they will make their future movies (apart from the Spider Man and GOTG ones) public after the reveal in the new Avengers. Being so involved with the stories of each avenger thus far, I sure am going to be sad to lose some of them!
I’m so tired of superhero movies and I think I’m the only one on the planet that feels this way lol
Nope- I’m right there with you! I was already suffering from “Superhero Fatigue” when they “killed off” Spiderman, Black Panther, etc. in the first movie- that was some straight-up “The Walking Dead” cheap plot trick right there that pushed me right off the Superhero Cliff.
Nope, I’m so tired of them too. I feel bad because I want to support something like Captain Marvel, but I cant keep up – there are so many, they come out so fast, and they make so much money that they are never going to stop making them.
Nope I hate they are the only big films which are made for the theater. Sick and tired of them and can’t understand for the life me what people flock to the same rehashed plot line over and over again. They have also ruined real directors with real stories have a shot at producing films that will make less money but are much higher quality film.
I think that’s one reason I prefer television to cinema now. TV is filled with fantastic writing, different people telling different stories. Writers and directors are allowed to take risks!
Hated them from the beginning but I caught Infinity War and will watch Captain Marvel and Endgame to find out what happens. The huge ensemble cast somehow piqued my interest but I usually steer clear of these films as they just, in a word, shallow and juvenile.
I feel like it is very telling that they showed the origin clips of Cap, Tony and Thor considering that all three of them have contracts ending with this movie. It breaks my heart to say so, but I feel certain that Cap is a goner (I figure he’ll either sacrifice himself or via one of the stones they’ll find a way for him to go back to be with Peggy and age normally). I’m not sure how they will handle Thor and Tony.
LOVE that Captain Marvel is at the end and she and Thor bond immediately.
I noticed that too!! And when they’re ‘mourning’ people who have vanished…for Cap, shouldn’t Bucky/Sebastian Stan be on there? Even for a second? Hmm…maybe I’m looking too much into this, but Marvel usually has little gems hidden in a lot of their content.
Isn’t it Bucky who was standing in the spot Cap is kneeling at, when he’s touching the dust? I don’t remember that detail from Infinity War, but that moment in the trailer had that emotional weight to me.
I think he will be gone too. I think Mr. Stark will be gone too.
Loved CM showed up at the end.
I think Cap is definitely a goner. Tony could retire, and Thor could decide to be king to those who did survive when Thanos attacked their ship (he only killed half). But Cap, I feel, will have a sad ending.
Just take my money, Marvel!
I think Marvel is really blowing it with these trailers- we’ve already seen the trailer for the next Spiderman movie, so no worries about Peter Parker, we see Ironman & Nebulla in the white uniform here so they obviously make it back safely from outer space, and Marvel clearly didn’t kill off their cash cow the Black Panther. Sure, Captain America and/or Ironman are “probably” going to die in this movie (or at least that’s what everyone keeps telling me), so what is left to reveal? The only thing that could make this worse is if the “time stone” turns this into a time travel story- I HATE time travel stories, because nothing matters if you can just go back in time and change it.
Judge me if you want but I’m a total Marvel junkie. I love all the movies. All. Of. Them (I haven’t seen CM yet but I definitely will). I’m so pumped for this! Can’t wait.
Me too. Go see CM. You’ll love it.
Me too and I have no shame about it! I never watched them until I met my husband 4 years ago, but he got me hooked and I’ve watched everything from the beginning in order of release, lol. Going to see Captain Marvel Sunday, I’m so excited!
Me too! So excited!!
This is likely the swan song for RDJ and Evans, and it feels fitting on a thematic level for the old guard (Iron Man, Captain America) to hand off the story to the younger generation of heroes, so I’d imagine they’re going to make it as dramatic as possible. It’ll be said to see Mr. Stark go, but really, his story is coming to its natural end.
I love all the Marvel movies (loved Captain Marvel!!) but I’m getting sick of these Avenger movies. We know that there’s no way T’Challa or Spider-Man are dead for good so I don’t take the stakes seriously. I can’t stand Jeremy Renner and I’m sick of Ironman (ugh, and Pepper Potts) so I’m really ready for these original Avengers to be put to bed.
Oh but Captain America. Sigh.
Honestly, the film doesn’t truly front like they’re gone forever, either. Dr. Strange made no bones about the fact that he was taking a calculated risk that he knew would ultimately lead to a better outcome. It just had to be preceded by horror so they understood the stakes.
Where was The Hulk? He is one of my favorites
Hulk refused to participate in Infinity Wars so part of Endgame will involve showing how Banner gets his Hulk back.
They had to wait until enough people had seen the end credits scenes in Captain Marvel before they could release this.
Yes! Plus, there’s the little spoiler out there from the clips they showed some board meeting of what follows the end credit scene of Captain Marvel (which must be real since it includes a scene in this trailer) 🙂 I’m tired of the 100 million TV shows of superhero powers and mutants, but I’m still up for the movies.
I cannot wait. Me and boyspawn have a date.
I got gussies ALL over! OMG. I just can’t wait.
I grew up on these characters in book form…
I have seen each and every Marvel movie several times…
The casting for each movie…has been pitch perfect…
These folks are like friends…who always brings me joy when I see them…
I will miss them….
And seeing Nebula and Black Widow on screen…ALWAYS MAKES ME SO HAPPY!!!! Especially when you remember how they were introduced into the MCU….
Damn the MCU writers can WRITE their asses off when it comes to character development…
I love the direction they took Nebula. Such a great role for Karen Gillan following Doctor Who.
I. AM. SO. EXCITED. This movie is going to EPIC. And I get why they only added a bit of Captain Marvel. She’s their ace card. And probably plays a HUGE role in what happens. Which limita what you can show. Have to keep it exciting and a mystery. Which I have no problem with. So EXCITED!!! The geek in me is geeking OUT.
Other than iron man and thor that trailer was full of boring ass people, the least interesting avengers were spared. Go figure
I do hate it when they show spoilers in the trailers like that. Now the thing I was wondering about after the first trailer that I watched has been answered, so when that happens in the movie, it won’t affect me one bit.
I am so excited!
Doing my Marvel happy dance
Come on April!
I am saying it right now, Thanos will be taken down by the women while he gets distracted by the men.
Nebula will probably be the one who will reverse all things Thanos did. How far she goes back is the question.
Right? Nebula is strong and she has a lifetime of anger towards him. We don’t know where Valkyrie and Sif are. Okoye and Natasha have all that warrior training and Captain Marvel has all that power from that source I won’t name because of spoilers. They’re a force.
I’m pretty sure Nebula kills him in the comics, if I remember correctly. I don’t believe the last movie followed the Infinity War storyline very closely, but I’m be rooting for Nebula to be the one to kill him.
I believe there are unconfirmed rumors Tessa Thompson will be back as Valkyrie in this one. I certainly hope so — love that character. It would feel amiss if we just never learned what happened to her.
It would be fitting for Nebula to kill him. The conflict with him is the most personal and immediate. She has a lifetime of anger and a sister to avenge.
I am SO excited for this movie. Infinity War was so brutal and devastating, but so well done. I’m so curious to see how this story ends.
Admittedly, apart from Thor, the original Avengers are not my favorites (I’m more of a Guardians of the Galaxy and Loki fan…I lean morally ambiguous in the Marvel universe lol). But we’ve been with these characters for so long that I think I’ll be emotional seeing the way their tales wrap up. And I’m pumped that Rocket, Nebula, and Captain Marvel will be there alongside them.
It’s dark and I am there for it just as I was for the Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones. I have to see it through to the finish. There is a symbolism embedded in these vehicles and they suit the times.
It’s gonna be so sad today goodbye to Cap.
I’ll probably see it once it’s on streaming. It’s what I did with Avengers Infinity Wars. I will probably go see Captain Marvel in theaters but I have seen most Marvel movies on Netflix (which yes I know they will no longer appear there once Disney Plus comes out!). The only ones I’ve seen in theaters apart from Black Panther which I paid on my own were ones that my old company would pay for (I used to work in digital comics and we would do movie outings a few times a year to see Marvel or Star Wars movies).
I for one, can’t wait! I’ve watched this trailer at least 20+ times on my commute in to work this morning! SO many moments. I especially love Natasha & Clint’s chemistry and moments in the trailer- you can see how much they care for each other (even though Joss Whedon did them dirty in Age of Ultron by pairing her with the Hulk out of nowhere, and giving Hawkeye a family… still salty about that one). With all of Scarlett and Jeremy’s natural chemistry (still think they were hooking up on the DL during the filming of the first Avengers), it’s a wasted opportunity. But I’m excited to see how everything plays out!
I love, love, love it! And I actually prefer Captain Marvel not saying anything. Her presence alone, the way she turns around, the way she looks at Thor, that’s powerful all by itself!
I can’t wait. I would definitely be sad to see Cap go though, should this truly be the case in the end. But I would definitely be happy to see Nebula and/or any of the other fantastic ladies vanquish Thanos.
And the Avengers theme always makes me get goosebumps!
Geez Avengers, Christopher Nolan called to say, “lighten up”… 😉 I’m kidding! I’m kidding!
I’ll be interested to see if this did end up three hours long as was rumoured.
I’m looking forward to it. I already know, regardless of how it happens, I’m going to be balling when CA dies/goes away/Chris Evans retires.
Stock piling the Kleenex as we speak.
