Don’t hate the player, y’all. In this situation, Kristen Stewart is the player, forever and always, while Robert Pattinson is the sweet, sensitive, horny, accented, brooding one-who-gets-played. This has always been the dynamic I’ve imagined for K-Stew and R-Pattz – that K-Stew is a girl who knows how to have a man eating out of her hand, and that she’s perfectly comfortable messing with Pattz’s head. Not that I imagine Pattz to be some kind of sparkly angel – I do think he’s a bit of a player too, and he had a very obvious and healthy interest in pretty girls. But with Kristen, Pattz always seems to grasping for something that’s not there. It’s all so Teen Beat, I love it!

Last weekend, Pattz and K-Stew attended Comic-Con. K-Stew was her normal snotty self – although, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that she’s 19 years old, intelligent, and she wants to be a “real” actress, not a tabloid target, so I think some of her snottiness with the press is just simple discomfort. K-Stew didn’t want to answer any questions about any alleged romance or “chemistry” between herself and Pattz. Some theorized that perhaps Pattz and K-Stew were hooking up the night before, and had even hooked up after the presser, in the three-hour limo drive back to L.A. By the way, how f-cking hot would that be if was true? Three hours in the back of a limo with Pattz? I’m drooling a little bit.

Now Star Magazine is claiming that there wasn’t much in the way of sparkly sexy time. They claim Pattz flew into California looking forward to spending a lovely weekend nailing his beloved K-Stew, but Kristen was all “Buzz off, Sparkles.” K-Stew seems to believe that Pattz has been nailing Emilie de Ravin this whole summer, and K-Stew didn’t waste any time reconnecting with her ex, Michael Angarano:

After a brief fling in NYC with his Remember Me costar Emilie de Ravin, Robert Pattinson returned to the West Coast to beg Kristen to take him back. But no go. She blew him off in favor of her ex, actor Michael Angarano, who was there for her while Rob was out playing the field.

“Rob is stunned,” an insider tells Star. “He thought he could come back to California and get Kristen to forgive him, but he was wrong. He can have any woman in the world in a heartbeat, but not Kristen. Rob fought to steal her away from Michael. And now he has to do it all over again!”

While Kristen transformed herself into Joan Jett for her film The Runaways in Los Angeles over the past couple of months, Rob was having a blast in New York, growing closer to gorgeous Emilie.

“Rob and Emilie had fun, but they were never serious,” the insider explains. “He had a lot of laughs with her, but his heart has always belonged to Kristen. Unfortunately, Kristen didn’t see it that way and didn’t appreciate seeing picture after picture of Rob getting close to Emilie when the cameras were off.”

When Rob and Kristen reunited on July 23 at Comic-Con… things just weren’t the same between them, sources report.

“Kristen has Rob’s heart on a string, and she keeps yanking it,” says the insider. “She gave him a glimmer of hope when she agreed to share a limo with him on the three-hour drive back to LA – but by the time they arrived, Rob was confused!”

“He tried explaining his relationship with Emilie, but Kristen didn’t want to hear it.” Rob was really upset when he flew to NYC on July 27. “He had such high hopes for their reunion, and things just didn’t work out like he’d hoped.”

“Kristen isn’t going to let Rob waltz right back into her life after spending all summer getting cozy with Emilie,” says a source. “Kristen wasn’t sitting around pining for Rob. She wasted no time reconnecting with Michael.”

But Rob won’t give up without a fight! [He’s] excited that next month they’ll be together every day in Vancouver working on the third Twilight film, Eclipse, says the source. “Trouble is, he’s going to have to get past Michael. Kristen and Michael have deep feelings for each other, and Rob knows it. He’s afraid that he may have lost the one person in this world who means the most to him.”

Oh, it’s all so angsty. I feel like I need to get my Doc Marten’s out of storage and don my old purple-black lipstick. I don’t really think Kristen is even that upset about this alleged hookup with Emilie de Ravin – I think K-Stew just likes to make Pattz beg for it. I really wish I was as cool as her when I was 19 years old. She seems kind of awesome. My guess is that two weeks into the shoot for Eclipse, K-Stew and Pattz will be back together. Or at least K-Stew will deign to let Pattz beg for it in the privacy of her hotel room.
