Kate Gosselin has been particularly bitchy lately – and it couldn’t be more inappropriately timed. Kate’s at a point where she needs to ingratiate herself with the public, not act like a demanding, entitled queen. According to several sources, Kate desperately needs the money from her show in order to support her kids – even though she tries to play it off like she doesn’t.
Kate Gosselin denied on the TODAY show that participating in “Jon & Kate Plus 8” had anything to do with her marriage falling apart. And while that’s likely accurate, a source says the reality show star is underplaying the role the show plays in keeping her financially afloat.
“She understands that she needs this show for income, to support the kids. The show feeds the interest in her books, and her books just help add more money to the bottom line,” said the source. Gosselin has published two books about her family, “Multiple Bles8ings” and “Eight Little Faces.”
Kate actually wishes soon-to-be ex-husband Jon had a keener sense of what was at stake financially, should he turn his back on the show, the source says. Despite rumors that Jon Gosselin and fashion designer Christian Audigier were teaming up on a kid’s clothing line, that isn’t going to happen, according to the source. “He just got the clothes for free.”
“Jon thinks that he’s bigger than ‘Jon & Kate,’ but he isn’t and it’s frustrating to (Kate),” said the source. “He needs to focus and make sure the show does well so the family can be well.”

Yeah I don’t think Jon could possibly care less whether his family does well. He probably does want the show to do well, but that’s just so he can support his now lavish lifestyle and buy more thousand dollar shoes. You can tell Jon really does have a big head about him, which I just don’t understand. I’m sure Kate does too, but she seems equally driven to support her family as be famous. Jon doesn’t seem to share that drive at all.
Speaking of Jon, he was supposed to have a rebuttal interview on E!, in which he’d respond to Kate’s allegations. That never happened, but his ex-girlfriend Kate Major happily went on anyway. Turns out it was because TLC, the network that airs “Jon & Kate,” pulled the plug on the interview.
Jon Gosselin has met a foe mightier than Kate Gosselin – his own network. RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively that TLC forced the cancelation of Jon’s scheduled televised interview with E! The interview was slated for Monday night but never happened. Instead a few quotes from Jon appeared on E!’s Web site.
A high-level TLC executive intervened and killed Jon’s interview, a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com. Jon is under contract with TLC for Jon & Kate Plus 8 and apparently needs the network’s approval for certain deals. The network approved Kate’s interview with the Today Show on Monday, an interview that featured tears and anger.
Jon gave an interview to In Touch magazine last week and at least one source says that may have been beyond the scope of his contract — and repercussions may ensue. When he tried to go on E! all sorts of corporate executives swung into action on Monday, the source close to the situation told us. CEOs were calling COOs as an alphabet soup of execs threatened, countered and created a three-martini crisis. In the end the three-letter network (TLC for the alphabet impaired) kicked the one-letter network’s exclamation point and Jon was muzzled.
But don’t count on Jon being silenced forever. TLC still needs him for filming (even though public opinion seems to have turned sharply against him). And we’ve heard of things like “I’m not available” today where employees put pressure on employers until they get what they want. Hey, we’re not saying that’s what’s going to happen, and really, who would resort to that? We’re just saying we’ve heard it happens.

Maybe it’s just me, but if I were Jon I’d be trying to kiss some serious network ass right now. I know they say they need him for the show, but frankly I think they could film it with just Kate. Single mother of 8 kids? That’s intriguing. It’s not like she and Jon will be filming much together anyway. I’d think it’s possible that if he pisses off the network enough, they could refuse to deal with him. Of course they’ve been dealing with Kate this whole time, so he’s probably fine. Clearly TLC will put p with some annoying personalities to keep this show on the air.

They have made millions off their kids and Kate is just plain greedy. She can cut down some of her spending, dump the personal trainer, tanning sessions, fake nails, pedicures, dying her hair, spa days and the whole new wardrobe, she keeps spending money like there is no tomorrow. I am so sick of this greedy lying shrew and want her to drop off the face of the earth.

I have watched this show for years; I have an obssessed 12 year old. 🙂 I have to say that in the begining, I was very put out by Kate…after watching for quite some time however, I realized what a remarkable woman she really is. I think that she came off as punitive to Jon because truly he was such an unhelpful ass. He never helped unless directed, and never thought through his actions. (as we can clearly see now) Kate held everything together, and her children are loving, mature, and disciplined…She gave her kids opportunities that they would never had dreamed of. You bet your ass she needs the show…Jon can’t hold a job, and has no interest in doing what’s best to insure his children’s future financially and as usual it is up to Kate to make sure that happens. I think that the predominant number of commentators here don’t actually watch the show, or have only just started due to the press. I think that it is time for Kate to back off the press tours and do what she does best…be a mom.
Argh! this woman annoys me to no end!!! Does she have a cookbook in the works? Interesting because any time I’ve had to endure the show, it seems as if she throws a handful of grapes, a few carrots, some cheese and apple slices (all organic, of course) on a paper plate and calls it lunch. Can a cookbook come out of that? Oh, maybe she’s going to take some recipes from her personal chef???

Kate is a controlling wench and I have always seen her that way from the get go. I won’t even let my child watch that show in the same room as me. It’s not allowed. She makes me crazy and so does all the screaming, whining children.
Those children have been given opportunities, as you say, thx to the SHOW they are on and the NUMEROUS give-a-ways they have received. Would this have been done unprompted? I couldn’t say.

Whine it to women who have raised a passle of kids on their own for centuries. Kate has it incredibly cushy, BigLumpofGoo Jon on board or gone. Damn straight that when he’s ditched for good and she doesn’t have to see him anymore she’ll be a much nicer, calmer person and that’ll be better for the kids. Kate was a Nurse, an RN before the show. Last time I checked, there is a nursing shortage in this country. Jon worked in IT. Kate CAN work, it is just easier for her to live off the gravy train that is her kids. They both suck. Get a job like everyone else!!
Kate quit her job to stay at home and raise her kids. Everyone is always complaining about nannies raising the kids, if she went back to work isn’t that exactly what would happen and the kids would be in the same position everyone is complaining of.
My grandmother raised 12 kids and was a stay at home mom – nothing is wrong with that.
Maybe Jon should have just been a man continued to work and support his children the way normal people do it. But they got a great opportunity and asking him to continue to work would just be wrong – how could anyone ask him to do such a thing.
Thank goodness Kate had the sense to do books and PR the shit out of the show – without her they would all be scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Maria: I would NOT exploit my child’s private life for financial gain. I make enough money to keep me happy and my husband makes a decent salary, too. We don’t have to whore out our daughter to make money.
We are very private people and so is she. She wouldn’t even get that sign that so many teenagers get to go in the front yard when you are an athlete or cheerleader with your name on it because she’s that private. You think just anyone would sell out their kids for money and fame?

ENOUGH of seeing this “reality” show. Reality is not tons of freebies, vacations, million dollar homes, cars, complete new wardrobes, security needed, tummy tucks, hair transplants, teeth whitenings, etc. Reality is trying to make the mortgage, work a real job and keep food on the table for the kids. Reality is struggling to make a better life. TLC needs to pull the plug on what they call “reality”. If you want reality, live my life!
Maybe Kate needs to move in with Octopussy Mom to save expenses. Let’s see how many times the cops and child welfare are called to that house. Folks I think we got ourselves a new reality show!

The thing is, she has “nannies” and “helpers” for the children already. She is away from those kids the second the cameras are turned off. If she were out working as a nurse, (who would want her as their nurse anyway?) at least she would have an excuse for all the sitters etc. This woman purports to be a stay at home mom who is doing this all for the kids, but they are being raised by others anyway. She’s repulsive.
