Is becoming the new Florida something to aspire to? Yikes.

  2. Onomo says:

I am not surprised and surprised by how some people really still don’t want to have the convo about r*pe and holding space that someone could both be an amazing person to millions and not great in the eyes of survivors of sexual assault. And I am still shocked how so many don’t think it ok for a black woman to say that about Kobe. I think the Kobe stuff had me surprised by some of the commenters on this site too.

    • Tash says:

Maybe I would understand your point better if you said a person can be both a rapist and an amazing athlete/artist, etc. A rapist AND an amazing person? No, nope!

    • Nonartistic Diane says:

Samanthalous, you were questioning his wife for suing the helicopter company for the crash. A crash that you implied he caused by insisting the pilot fly. A logic that people questioned but yeah that’s people protecting him. Makes sense.

  3. Diane says:

I’m also and artist and wanted to like Alexander Grant, but I’m not sure about her…. Certainly a bit of a contradiction. Not dying her hair but then promoting goop with a bunch of surgically enhanced actors…. being an artist….but then trying to sell a child’s tombstone on ebay then bringing it back after getting told she could be prosecuted for a crime by police..but then doing a documentary about bringing the stolen/tried to sell it on ebay/”good luck” tombstone back. A bit of any odd duck to me.

    • Diane says:

This is another Diane(nonartistic), but I wanted to say What?? I had no clue about all this reference Alexandra. I’m not an artist but seriously, what with tombstone? When was this?

      • Diane says:

@diane(non artistic) 2011…..taking Lena home.. “Alexandra put the tombstone for sale on EBay, She was surprised by the Sheriff’s Department of Polk County, who notified her that the white marble stone, belonging to Lena Davis, aged 8 months, had been stolen from the Pleasant Home Cemetery in 1945 and was the county’s oldest unsolved crime.” Many think the so called film is a cover up for the fact that she basically owed a stolen tombstone of a dead child..

      • Jerusha says:

She bought the tombstone at an antique store in Wyoming. She had no idea it was stolen. When she was informed it was stolen, she returned it to its proper resting place. No big scandal there, although the tumblr types tried to make it so.
My house was burglarized decades ago and the lost item that hurt the most was a delicate cameo on a gold chain my grandmother gave me at 13. It had belonged to her mother and was from 1800s. If it ended up in an antiques store and you bought it, would you know it was stolen? Would you return it to me if you found out?

      • Bunny says:

“Many” think she made a film to cover up what couldn’t be more than a misdemeanor, if that? Who are these “many” you speak of?

She turned it over when she discovered it was stolen. That’s it.

      @Diane

this…I get this weird vibe. I loved that KR was having a romance on the downlow, it was natural & private & by all accounts, there was no craving for attention or anything like that. But w/the Goop thing I was like….wait…what? I really hope my second thoughts to her are unfounded, cuz I really want Keanu to be happy & in love w/someone who wouldn’t use him or his industry environment etc. but there’s some weirdness here & there. That gravestone thing is really creepy. I

    • Jerusha says:

@Bunny. I’ve seen those “many” on the tumblr and IG sites spreading rumors and lies. They’re enraged that KR might have a gf that isn’t them or isn’t the Leo barely legal type. As for the Goop thing-she was invited as a speaker and the talk she gave was pretty much a takedown of what GP does. All about how the media tells women they’re not enough as they are and they need to buy, buy, buy to fix themselves.
As for the “so-called film”(subtle slur there), it’s on YT if you want to see it.

Jerusha and Bunny, thanks for the follow up info. I’m glad Keanu has found someone he connects with, he seems like such a nice chill person.

    • Ava says:

I agree with the questionable nature of purchasing a child tombstone in the first place. I don’t really care who KR is dating. In the case of a veteran it is a felony to remove or sell a stolen marker. Even those I’m sure she didn’t know it was stolen IMA. I would tend to be very cautious purchasing something like this from an antique store not knowing it’s history. It’s not the same an purchasing a piece of jewelry or furniture. I know eBay has rules against these types of sale EBay states under artifacts.
“Historical graves, tombstones or related markers — These items may not be listed on eBay. While we recognize that some historical grave markers may be privately held within families and legal to sell, eBay is concerned with vandalism that has occurred in graveyards across the world. “

About the football player. He’s scum for cheating but I’m not surprised, pro athlete yada yada yada. What does surprise me is the female. Girl get yours too!!

  5. lucy2 says:

I don’t say this often, but go Jada! Good for her for calling him out on that, and to his face.

Am I missing something with that football player story? I’m not seeing the humor, just a gross guy who sounds VERY practiced in sneaking around and cheating.

  6. Paige says:

I can not recognize her-at all. Maybe if I saw her in motion-but honestly I can’t even comment on the convo because I am so stunned-what did she do that altered her face so much? Is it me or am I vaping too much?

  7. meeee says:

There’s nothing funny about being a cheater, ever. Or being cheated on.

  8. TIFFANY says:

Bob Iger is out as head honcho at Disney effective immediately.

What is about to come for this to happen.

    • Liz version 700 says:

It has to be pretty bad. The rumors about child stars at Disney are awful so I am almost afraid to imagine what it could be.

    • Lucy2 says:

      Wow!
I did see that he staying on as “executive chairman“ whatever that means, I’d have to think if it was some giant scandal, he’d be out altogether?

  9. Elizabeth says:

    Thank you, Jada. Love her.

Once again though I note the burden and labor, both emotional and psychological, the social cost, of dealing with problem men falls on a woman. In this case a Black woman.
