I can’t stand to look at Donald Trump’s orange fascist face right now, so let’s look at Nancy Pelosi in this magnificent pink ensemble yesterday in Washington. Speaker Pelosi wore a cotton-candy pink dress with a matching (specially made?) pink mask, which featured bedazzled rhinestones reading “VOTE.” Bless her. Speaker Pelosi continues to demand answers from the Trump administration about everything having to do with Donald Trump’s violent photo-op on Monday. She’s also talking about the need for big, substantial change to policing. She said she’s not here for only incremental change. Good. A few days ago, she even read from the Bible to get under Trump’s thin skin:

As for Donald Trump, last night he shared a letter from John Dowd on Twitter – Dowd is Trump’s former lawyer. Dowd is, you guessed it, all for a violent police crackdown on peaceful protesters, and Dowd makes the argument that the protesters, teenagers, clergy and journalists attending the Lafayette Square protest on Monday – the same people who were gassed, grenade’d and beaten by military and cops – were the real terrorists. Down called those protesters (and clergy!) “terrorists using idle hate … to burn and destroy.” They were mostly kids and they were ALL peaceful.

Meanwhile, did you hear this story? The Movement for Black Lives spent thousands of dollars to make 2000 masks reading “Stop killing Black people” and “Defund police.” The masks were packaged and sent from Oakland to Minneapolis, Washington, St. Louis and NYC. Only the masks never got there because police in Oakland (where the masks were made and sent from) tracked the packages and seized them. So… cops not only want to kill black people through brutality, they also want black people to die from coronavirus. Defund the police.
