Nicole Kidman’s 1-year-old daughter Sunday Rose isn’t one of those celebrity babies who’s always up for a candid photo-op. Nicole has only been photographed with Sunday a handful of times since giving birth to her in July of 2008, and for the most part, Sanday has been pretty covered up. I was hoping Sunday would take after her mom – that we would see a little pale, carrot-top style-icon-in-training. It turns out that Nicole and husband Keith Urban are pretty happy raising Sunday away from the spotlight of New York and Los Angeles, setting up their home base in Nashville.
It was in Nashville that Nicole, Keith and Sunday were photographed chilling out. Keith stopped by their Nashville home base between tour dates – and I would assume that Nicole’s been in Nashville for most of the summer. These are the best pictures I’ve seen of Sunday, and I can see now that she definitely takes after her dad. She’s a cute little brunette, and I don’t see much of Nicole in her sweet little face. She’s still adorable, but I had my heart set on a ginger. Oh, well.
The only thing I’ve heard about or seen of Nicole in the past few months has been her brief appearance on Project Runway’s “All-Star Challenge”. The news of Nicole’s appearance leaked a few days before the premiere, and I had my heart set on something really cool. Unfortunately, Nicole only appeared on the show via some kind of pre-taped thing, where she basically read off a prepared speech to the designers. It sucked. There’s some talk that Nicole would wear the winning “red carpet look” to one of the premieres of Nine, which comes out in November. The winner of the challenge turned out to be Season 2’s runner-up, Daniel Vosovic. I like Daniel, but Korto Momolu’s line was so much prettier – and Nicole would have looked gorgeous in any of her fantastic, more sophisticated dresses. I seriously doubt Nicole will end up wearing the black-and-white cocktail dress Daniel designed. Daniel later told the Los Angeles Times, “I thought it would be phenomenal on Nicole Kidman. We’ll see if we can get her in it!” Good luck with that.

I thought that Chris or Sweetpea should have won. I hated Daniel’s collection. I could have done better.
I can’t get over how much better Nicole looks as a redhead. I hope she never goes back to that washed-out white/blonde. I love(!) Sunday’s lovely, old-fashioned dress as well!
Sorry. I can’t get on the “she’s cute” baby train for this one, but I think Nicole looks great in her white summer dress. She should stay a red head.
Ditto on the red. The blond ages her by about 10 years and accentuates work that she’s had done to her face.
I was watching Australia the other day and was so disappointed. I usually love watching Nicole’s performances, but her face could barely move no matter how much she tried to emote and I kept wishing that her hair was red instead of that washed out blonde color. I LOVED her hair in Moulin Rouge. That rich red color looks great on her.
She looks more beautiful here than she has in her recent movies and public appearances. Hopefully she lays off the botox and lip fillers. Meg Ryan could take note of this too. Sad when already naturally gorgeous actresses would rather get work done than let themselves age gracefully. What a waste…
I agree with WOW – this is not a cute baby. She is average, at best. I’m sure she is loved and adored, but let’s face it folks – just because a celebrity procreates does not mean that the resulting progeny will be stunningly gorgeous.
Sunday is seen a lot. Well maybe not a lot like other kids but photos are not rare. Nicole definately looks better red. The blond was never pretty on hair.

I swear I read an interview where Nicole said that she was a natural blonde. Probably not as blonde as it was dyed…
You wouldn’t believe how many people consider Sunday’s hair color “blonde.” It gets on my nerves. There’s nothing wrong with being a brunette.
My daughter is a ginger. Sometimes it’s positively orange. People often think I’m babysitting….

Sunday Rose is a cutie. You can see where she is going to be a gorgeous girl as she gets older. I couldn’t see it before, but she does have a lot of Keith’s facial features, especially noticeable in the first photo. She has Nicole’s coloring. If you ask me, Sunday Rose has auburn colored hair; it’s not just brown. There is a definite reddish color to it. Keith doesn’t look too happy about the photographer snapping these shots, but I gotta tell ya, Keith is gorgeous no matter what he’s wearing. Love him in concert.
Sorry Sunday is a stupid name and she’s no Shiloh, or Suri. But God bless all babies the cuties and the not so cuties.
