Over the weekend, Lindsay Lohan’s Hollywood Hills home was burglarized. Thieves took everything from doors (seriously) to jewelry, clothes and shoes. Here’s what surprised me the most – Lindsay doesn’t live in any kind of gated community, as most reasonably famous actors in Los Angeles do. Lindsay just lives in a regular old neighborhood, with nothing in the way of exclusive security. Granted, it’s probably a pretty ritzy neighborhood. But that seems to a double-edged sword – Radar is reporting that Lindsay’s neighbors want her out. They’re tired of the paparazzi, the burglaries, the insanity that follows the continuing cracked-out adventures of Lindsay Lohan. Unfortunately for the neighbors, unless they pool their money together to buy Lindsay a home in a gated community, I don’t she’s going to be moving out any time soon:
This time Lindsay Lohan’s latest controversy isn’t even her fault. Some of the actress’s neighbors want her to move out of their Hollywood Hills enclave due to all the paparazzi and recent robberies, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
“The truth is that this is a very quiet neighborhood and there have been no break-ins apart from at Lindsay Lohan’s house,” a neighbor told RadarOnline.com. “Since she moved in last November it has been a nightmare with all the paparazzi parking in our driveways waiting for her.”
The star was targeted for a second time at her rented home after thieves made off with a safe, bags, jewelry and shoes belonging to the actress. The first robbery was reported in May and the latest one occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning. Detectives at the Hollywood police station are currently reviewing video footage which reportedly caught three men leaving the house.
“It’s obviously an inside job and I first noticed that the door at the side of the property was missing a few days ago.”
Her father Michael Lohan told RadarOnline.com on Monday that he was determined to find the culprits. Unfortunately, that may be too little too late for the current residents of the hip area which counts Ryan Gosling and Vince Vaughn as homeowners.
“This is a really narrow and winding street and I’m amazed there has not been a more serious accident,” the neighbor added. “I’ve got nothing personal against her but she needs to find a home in a gated community with security at the main gate because all the residents are fed-up with the situation.”
On Monday, the house lay empty with no padlocks on the main door and with the side door missing after it had been ripped of its hinges. Lohan left the home on Sunday with three friends and a personal assistant was also seen loading-up some personal possessions into a car.

My first thought was actually “Oh, God, how does Lindsay still make enough money to still rent a home in the Hollywood Hills?” Doesn’t it seem like Lindsay has been “living off the crackhead land” for a while now, and that she’s basically been living off of Samantha Ronson specifically? Perhaps Lindsay could just barely afford to keep her home, and that’s why she couldn’t afford even a basic security system. But I do think the neighbors have it right – it sounds like an inside job. Probably one of Lindsay’s dealers.

This piece is really interesting, because I just read over teh weekend on another site that she was moving from this house and that they thought it was an inside job because of the people hired to pack up things for Lindsay. It stated in the piece I read that Dina Lohan wanted her daughter in a safer neighborhood.
I also had read that doors were not taken, just taken off the hinges for easier entry.

clearly she was targeted, whether it was simply because she’s a “movie star” and the people thought she’d have good stuff to take or if it was a dealer who she owed.
I mean, they TOOK OFF a door? someone was trying to make a point there.
She doesn’t live in a a nice gated community because she doesn’t have any money! It amazes me that this girl is still able to waste whatever money she has left in her account on tall boots and coochie cutter shorts.

I think it’s an inside job too, I wonder if she had insurance on any of this stuff that was stolen?
Funny how both of her parents are “so concern” about her safety at living at a house that was broken into to twice (for all we know she migght owe some people some $$) but not with her hard manic partying ways.
And they’re so concerned about her safety there that they let their 15 year old daughter live there too!
Insurance claim perhaps? I don’t see any other form of income for her to live on.
Hasn’t Lindsay allegedly given herself the Five Finger Discount on other’s property? I don’t have any sympathy for her on this one.
Yeah, karma’s a b*tch, ain’t it?! She does have the reputation for making off with whatever she likes, whether it belongs to someone else or not. This case does not sound like dealers to me, they would take more valuable items like electronics – not handbags, clothes and shoes. This sounds to me like maybe some of her hangers-on just wanted to raid her closet. Sure, a safe was taken, but it probably had papers in it or something. We all know she’s broke! LOL, I have no idea, I’m totally guessing. As some have suggested, insurance fraud is also a distinct possibility. Who knows?

Someone probably came to claim something she stole from them. Or she owes her dealer. She needs to watch it. People get shot for this kind of stuff.
that wasn’t a robbery. that was all the people from whom linds has “borrowed” things coming to pick up their stuff.
Taking the pins out of the hinges on a door is supposed to be one of the more common methods of break-ins, a cop once told me.
Or she set this up herself, so she’d have an excuse to “have” to move back in with Sam…
Totally agree with Cinderella. It’s either people reclaiming their previously pilfered stuff, or perhaps it’s insurance fraud on Lindsay’s part.
The insurance fraud angle is interesting. And considering her less-than-stellar character, it makes a lot of sense.

The movers took the front door off our house to move stuff out quicker.
You can tell by the pic above that she is still doing a lot of drugs. Her skin looks older than mine and I’m twice her age.
