I sometimes feel like I’m the only one cutting my own hair during the pandemic? There’s a local (chain) hair salon around the corner from me and it always looks packed, even though there are still state-wide regulations about how to go into salons (mask-wearing the whole time, social distancing). It’s the same in many states, and I feel like more people should just acknowledge that 2020 is the Lost Year and that we’ve all gained some weight and our hair looks like crap and it’s fine. But no, people are still trying sh-t. People like Priyanka Chopra.
Priyanka debuted her new haircut on her social media in recent days and I just… whew, I cannot. Priyanka is so beautiful and she has such great hair (she’s even a brand ambassador/spokesperson for Pantene)… and just, WHY? WHY. Why the bangs trauma?? I feel like every so often, I have to make this speech about bangs, so here we go. I hate most bangs. I’m still traumatized from my childhood, when my mom would cut my own thick-as-hell bangs. Some women can pull off some form of bangs, I get that. But I feel like the majority of women shouldn’t even try. Priyanka is one of those women! I’m sorry, but the bangs age her and distract from her pretty face.
Overall, I think it’s just a bad haircut too – she got layers and “fringe” all over and it’s such a dated hairstyle. At least she didn’t get baby bangs though.

I love it.
And they seem to be a great couple, who knew
i think no bangs suits her face better but it’s autumn. People get bangs in autumn and she can do whatever she wants with her own hair!
She annoys the crap out of me, bangs or no bangs.
Me too! I can’t stand her but I don’t know why. She seems so thirsty. Anyways I don’t like the bangs.
I think it was the 8000 gaudy weddings trying to prove how much they loved each other to the world that did me in. The thirst is real!
I like them. They’re a good length.
I like it! She’s gorgeous and can pull off this look.
I’m not loving the bangs.
This woman rubs me the wrong way. And I’m still shocked her and nick are still married.
I’m usually not crazy about bangs but they’re cute on her.
I love them. She looks great!
Looks good on her. But i dont know enough about her to appreciate her appearances. She’s probably extra big in India, but her celebrity status is probably not matched in America, so maybe that’s why I kinda feel like she’s too much, or that it feels like she’s thirsty.

Lol this is basically the same haircut I’ve had for 10 years. It hides the lines on my forehead. I cut it myself. It works for me.
I think most women fall into the “better without bangs” category but I LOVE a good shag cut with the right hair texture and face shape. I seriously wish I could pull it off, but alas, my fine straight hair can’t multi-task. I get so bored with the few cuts I can pull off decently. PC has a stunningly beautiful face that can pull anything off.
I’m kind of digging them. Now I kinda want bangs, which would definitely be a mistake for me.
I don’t hate the bangs. I don’t hate bangs, but Princess Charlene’s are a cry for help. Priyanka is one of those people who will effortlessly grow them out with a little Bardot updo and look fabulous the whole time.
I got my hair cut this past weekend (super clean, socially distant, 1 other person in the salon, sitting in the open door) and my stylist cut bangs back in after I’d spent the past year growing them out. “You need bangs, my dear,” she said as the scissors swept 6″ of hair off my face. Damn, she’s right.
I think the bangs themselves look really good on her. You can see that in the close up shots. But overall the haircut is dated and makes her look really mundane and ordinary.
I think she looks gorgeous either way and I loved her on Quantico!
Hate bangs or no, I can’t knock her for trying something new while she can. I’m sure her hair always has to be *just so* for commercials, appearances, etc.
You’re not alone on haircuts, Kaiser! I got a 2 inch clipper guide and gave myself what I call “Elizabeth Warren, Art Student”. It looks pretty good if vaguely early ’00s-ish, but I love that it dries in about 6 seconds.
She has very soft, round features/not an angular face at all, and I feel like the bangs add too much additional softness. She’s a stunningly beautiful woman though, so she still looks amazing. I just prefer no bangs, which is my personal preference too. I have a huge forehead and still can’t pull them off.
She looks really good with the bangs!
And disagree that bangs look bad on most women. I find this bangs trauma theme here really…weird.
I can’t help but think she’s absolutely blissed out to not be caught in the middle of the absolute sh*tshow Bollywood is right now 😂

Not just you — I cut several inches off my hair after watching professional instructional videos and consulting my hairdresser — I did all right, it looks and feels really good!
As for Priyanka, I kinda feel like she’s been trying to de-age herself for a while now, as if she’s become keenly aware she married a younger man. We watched Demi Moore try to re-youth herself in various ways, particularly with style choices and behaviour, and it just never seems to end well.
