Iâm not going to dictate the how, where and why of celebrity endorsements. Under normal circumstances, I would say that itâs up to every individual, famous or non-famous, to make their voting decisions privately. But in the Trump era, it does feel like it would be helpful to NOT have a rash of celebrity endorsements at the last minute? Beyonce could have just shown her support for the Biden-Harris ticket months ago. But here we are – Bey has endorsed Joe and Kamala, and she did so on social media, see above. Maybe she learned something from her endorsement of Beto OâRourke, when he was running for Ted Cruzâs Senate seat in Texas – she didnât endorse Beto until Election Day, with only hours left to vote. I guess she decided to do this yearâs endorsement hours before the polls open. Is this because she doesnât want MAGAts swarming onto her Instagram?
Somewhat hilariously – in this dark AF timeline – Beyonceâs endorsement came out shortly after Donald Trump tried to insult her in the middle of one of his final Election Eve rallies. This speech was just a litany of grievances about how all of the cool celebrities hate him, and of course he name-checked Beyonce (who, again, had not even endorsed Biden-Harris at that point).

âBee-on-Seeâ oh my. The Beygency better assemble to take down this Nazi prick.

Wow sheâs had some work done. I legit almost didnât recognize her. đ
i think its the horrible make up,i really hope she never does anything extreme. I would say that black celebs usually do more suttle work if they chose to. I have only seen a couple who have really messed up their pretty faces Jada Pinkett and Mel B,they look terrible.
Sheâs already had work done especially on her nose
My brain can’t translate that bottom photo into Beyonce. I see Shakira.
I don’t think BeyoncĂ© has had much work done in recent years, but she has put on some pounds, which don’t look bad on her. It’s changed her face, but she’s still gorgeous to me.
Ok I thought I was just being a bit slow today. I see Shakira too in the bottom pic.
Itâs really not âworkâ in plastic surgeries. Itâs weight gain due to pregnancies and age, and without a doubt an expensive skin care regimen. I was looking at older photos of her (a couple celebs like Saweetie were her circa aughts for Halloween) and she really hasnât been tweaked.
I love the fact that he desperately wants to parade celebrities across his nazi rally stages yet NONE of them can stand him and that makes him nuts.
Anything that angers him, I love.
Yep, he’s so obviously butt hurt that he can only get D listers to endorse him.
I wish Bey would have gotten involved in the campaign earlier. She has a ton of influence over her fans.
@gina, last night Trump had Lil Pump at his rally, and he called him âLil Pimpâ. He does get celebs, just so few that have any relevance. Iâm not sure anyone at that rally even realized he called him by the wrong name because none of them know WTF Lil Pump is.
I’m totally with you though – how much do all these last-minute endorsements matter when SO many people have already voted? And I would love to meet an undecided person bc I’m just curious about who they are. Maybe these efforts the last few days are mostly just to get out the vote? Idk, I wish I had a video of Beyonce three weeks ago walking Texans through how to request an absentee ballot. Still, support is support. đ
TBH I think anyone who was undecided even within the past 2 weeks or so is probably just a Trump voter who doesn’t want to admit it out loud.
I personally don’t care that much about celeb endorsements (they’ve never changed my vote) but I do like that BeyoncĂ© openly endorsed Biden-Harris; if that helps motivate even one person to go out and vote it’s a good thing.
100% My racist uncle has been on the fence because I think he’s trying to justify himself as a good person and can see Dump is a major POS but also just can’t imagine voting for a “liberal”
His random unjust hate of AOC, women, and POC is too strong to deny, but he thinks Dump is a moron. He’s in a real conundrum.
Itâs nearly pointless as an endorsement, she just couldnât let his comments at the rally go unanswered.
And for most people who maybe cannot register to vote now – who for whatever reason may have finally been motivated to vote if/when Beyonce gave her nod to go and do it. Just do it earlier! Like before Texas registration ended on October 5th!
Exactly.
Beyonce urged people to go out and vote way back in June.
This is no surprise. Black women are always his target. Heâs a D list reality show star masquerading as a billionaire who did nothing but golf and hang out with celebrities. I know he misses that. And I dont want to hear from Faux news and their usual talking points about celebrities staying out of politics when they have batsh@t crazy Kirstie Alley on their network. I have never been swayed by a celebrity endorsement but maybe Iâm in the minority. Itâs important for all of us to be involved and be informed about what is going on.
Yeah, I agree with Kaiser – I don’t know what an election eve endorsement achieves. But whatever. Glad she’s not voting Trump.
Beyonce and Jay-Z have been quite vocal and involved in the Obama and Clinton campaigns, So I don’t think there were any doubts about where their support has been going (albeit quite support). She especially came under a lot of attack from MAGA during both campaigns….she maybe just wanted a breather to concentrate on her family and I can’t say I blame her. Too much toxicity.
Letâs not forget about the importance of state and local elections. Many people may have decided on a presidential candidate but not the others. Even local elections are critical this year especially since redistricting will occur in the coming year as happens in the year after the census is conducted.
Tim Robbins tells a story of how he turned Cheeto away from a private party he gave for a friend in a restaurant in NYC. The party was in an enclosed area of the restaurant, and was full of celebrity friends of Tim’s. Cheeto sent a rep over to tell Tim that Cheeto wanted to join them, and Tim refused to let him in. He’s told the story many times since Cheeto was elected (Google “tim robbins trump” if you’re interested), and in some versions, Trump tried to enter anyways but was turned away by Tim’s security.
I think the whole thing says something about what life for Cheeto is going to be like after he leaves the White House, whether today or tomorrow. He won’t stay in Mar-A-Lago. Not enough big celebrities in Palm Beach. He’ll go back to NYC, or maybe even hang out in Hollywood, trying to get into A-lister parties. And of course, he’ll be baffled and enraged when no one lets him in. Heh.
Dump has been obsessed with Hollywood and celebrity status for years – he apparently wanted to go to HW to make a career but his father refused to fund him and made him work in the family business.
Oh look, it’s that racist thing again where you deliberately mispronounce someone’s (usually a woman of color) name intentionally.
I had to listen to the clip twice because I wanted to make sure he said what he said about JBJ. I could not believe how he continues to express himself with the words he chooses to use. just WOW.
Kim Kardashian liked Beyonce’s post about voting for Biden/Harris. Kim hasn’t been vocal about who she is voting for, but this is interesting. Trump sure as heck hasn’t gone after the Kardashians even though Kanye is technically running against Trump ! Makes you wonder…
