Now that both LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are officially and legally divorcing their spouses, they seem to be moving at rocket speed to solidify their relationship. We’ve heard some mutterings here and there, and it’s looking like most of the gossip has a grain of truth to it – Eddie is pretty much living with LeAnn at this point, and LeAnn’s friends keep gushing to every tabloid about how LeAnn wants to marry Eddie and have his dimpled womanizer babies.
I have to get something off my chest – I’m starting to have pity on LeAnn Rimes. I think she’s a 27 year old woman with the mentality of a stalking, immature teenager. I think her affair with Eddie was probably the first time LeAnn ever had a man, you know? It was probably the first time she had a real, mind-blowing, non-vibrator orgasm, because her estranged husband Dean Sheremet looks like the kind of guy who “closes his eyes and thinks of England” to get through sex with a woman. I think when Eddie and LeAnn began their affair, in his mind it was just another affair, one of many he’s had over the years. But LeAnn fell in love, and then their affair became public, and then LeAnn got in her head that they should divorce their spouses and be together. And now that it’s happened, LeAnn is going to be in for a rude awakening when she ends up just like Eddie’s ex-wife. Is LeAnn really as naïve as I think? Or is she really clever? UPDATE: In a related story, Us Weekly just put up another part of their cover story this week, and they have new quotes from a source that sounds a lot like Eddie’s ex, Brandi Glanville. The “source” says Eddie missed his 2-year-old son Jake’s first day of preschool while he was on vacation with LeAnn in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The source also says Brandi is home with the kids “so Eddie feels free to go be this bachelor” and that Eddie is “too busy juggling his women to be a proper parent.” Oh, it’s going to get dirty.

LR isn’t naive or delusional, she is trying to save face because everyone knows that EC doesn’t love her and is just in it for fame/money. Since those photos of them in Mexico did little to convince people that they are “in love”, she puts out stories like this. It’s sorta like she is saying “I told you we were in love and here’s the proof-buying a house together, willing to do whatever it takes just to be together (ditch kids, lie to and humilate his wife), he bought her some stuff, and he wants to marry her.
She thinks that people will believe that he loves her and isn’t after her money if she tells them over and over about how he bought her a cake/bracelet, took her to Mexico, and are going to get married and buy a house. Why would anyone believe her stories when EC did the exact same things with his wife and was cheating on her? What I take away from these stories is that EC is cheating on her.
Putting out these stories after EC proclaimed that he was being respectful/sensitive and a “devoted” father is just hurting both her and EC reputation. The public sees a woman who doesn’t care about anyone but herself and since she can’t make the man love her she makes up for it by releasing stories about how he uses her credit card, oops I mean buys her gifts and is freeloading on her, opps I mean living with her in her home.
Does she not understand that these stories and photo-ops with EC will work against him when it comes to his divorce and custody? She and EC are so full of themselves that they think that they are immune to things that happen to people who are not celebs. I’m with Catherine. The only people I feel sorry for are the kids. If Eddie’s wife is a nice person who treated her husband well, then I feel sorry for her, too, but she’s an adult and her life will go on. She either treated him like crap until he left, or she married a man of low character. Either way, it’s a horrible lesson learned. Decent men cannot be stolen from happy marriages. Men without decency SHOULD be made by society to work harder to get into a woman’s pants, quite frankly. Aspen I believe she married a man of low character. They have been together for 13 years married for 8. By no means do I feel sorry for EC, he received some publicity from an affair he started with his lifetime movie co-star and all of sudden his wife and kids don’t matter anymore(so much so that he doesn’t stop to think about how “going public” with his mistress in Mexico would hurt his kids).
I mentioned predatory and immature women because I see people(not you because you addressed this issue in the last paragarph of post 38) trying to deminish LR role in the affair by putting it all on EC (they claim that she wasn’t at fault because like every woman she just couldn’t resist EC “charm/dimples” or that because EC has a history of cheating that means that LR didn’t do anything wrong) or trying to justify her cheating on DS by looking for faults in him. Women cheat on men and this issue is rarely addressed by the media/press. Instead the media/press sweeps it under the rug and acts like something is wrong with the man when the woman cheats. Women actively participate in affairs, they encourage them by taking bike rides, meeting them at hotels, and sticking their fingers in their shorts while standing on a beach in Mexico, and it never fails someone will bring up the “victim of double standards’ defense if people call her out for this. I know that that wasn’t what you were saying, but I mentioned it because these are the excuses that I keep seeing over and over.

Once the adrenaline rush of secrecy and effing around trying not to get caught wears off, usually after the marriage, it all falls apart. Cheetahs can’t change their spots, and these two are both classic cheetahs!
