Page Six had an interesting little tidbit of Jennifer Aniston news on Sunday. According to their sources, Jennifer “fears” that Gerard Butler will lose romantic interest in her now that their film The Bounty has wrapped. Page Six is ambiguous as to whether Gerard and Jennifer were actually dating, or if it was just a flirtation, but the main point I suppose is that Gerard packed up his beloved dog Lolita (twitch) and left town without signing Jennifer’s yearbook or whatever.
Jennifer Aniston’s summer of love maybe over. Filming has wrapped on her new movie, “The Bounty,” and her co-star, Gerard Butler, has flown out of New York with his beloved pug of war, Lolita.
Butler and Aniston, who’ve been seen flirting and holding hands between takes, have denied a romance.
But sources say Aniston, who moves straight on to promoting “Love Happens,” is fearing that things will cool now that they’ve gone their separate ways.

Haha, “pug of war”. Funny? Not so much. Gerard and Jennifer were filming together for most of the summer, and there were rumors on and off that the two were dating or that Jennifer was all up on his moobs, you get the picture. Lots of “on-set sources” breathlessly reporting that Gerard had his arm around Jennifer, that sort of thing. The problem was that Gerard Butler denied dating Jennifer several times, and during one of the last reports – that the two were spotted holding hands out in New York one night – Jennifer’s publicist (the Dread Pirate Huvane) denied that stuff straight away. As for why Gerard just sort of up and left (with his little dog too!), I can’t find a reason. He doesn’t have another film to do immediately, so maybe he’s just got to do some extra promotion for Gamer? It would make sense. Gamer got savaged by the critics, Gerard might need to do some extra promotion.

Well his movie is tanking. He may figure a REAL hook up might help. I never bought them as a couple in the first place. So How could he miss someone he is not in a relationship with.. Damn I’ll be glad when she is in a relationship so we can stop hearing about it.

Zzzzzzzzzzz. Is it just me, or is this appearing to be the same ‘story’ about Chinnifer – over and over and over again? And the same photos – over and over and over again. No offence, CB, I love your site, but this is starting to look like a TV series summer repeat.
P.S. Don’t feel sorry for Chinnifer and how her ‘private life’ is constantly put on display and under a magnifying glass – that’s why she pays Huvane the big bucks.
I’m sure every other star including Jolie/Pitt-Tori Spelling-Michael Jackson family would all like the tabloids to stop writing these filthy lies but here’s the thing long as the media keep buying their mags and clicking on to the sights that use the gossip it will continue.
When the post count is high bashing Jolie/Pitt get ready because the next story coming out will be about Aniston. Haters from both sides help found the tabloids with their gossip.

This is the neat little bow they have to put on this non-story — this way they can justify the summer-long non-romance stories by saying it’s over as opposed to it never existed to begin with…which it didn’t.

That is so annoying. This woman’s world has not ended all because she divorced Brad Pitt. They seriously need to quit with this nonsense. Jenn has appeared to continue to lead a very productive life after her divorce and she has had relationships after her divorce. She’s doing what any person, man or woman, does after a divorce …live and carry on.
Brad Pitt is not the be all, end all.

In an interview he gave in the UK he said they definitely weren’t dating and that if they were he would just say so.
She’s not really young enough for him. He’s a pig who likes super young women.
Although I think the needy, desperate persona the media has of Jennifer is exaggerated, I think she brought it on herself. In 2005 Jennifer did all of these poor, pitiful me interviews that just stuck. She made herself look lonely and desperate whereas other women in high profile divorces presented themselves as sad but strong. It also doesn’t help that she keeps making catty remarks about Angelina or says she’s proud to be the emblem of lonely people (whatever that quote was).
I have to agree with Beth. She launched the pity party with that VF interview and now she’s stuck with the persona she created. She wasn’t the first woman on the planet to get dumped and she won’t be the last, but she made herself look like an object of pity and derision whereas other women in her situation came off looking strong and capable. The way she handled her divorce should be an object lesson to every dumped woman (or man too, for that matter): keep your head up and your lip zipped.
She deserves everything she gets. No sympathy from me. She can’t eat her cake and want it back. She and her PR machine leek these false stories to make her look like men desire her but we all know these men don’t want her and they’ve gone on record to say so. Her schemings are backfiring on her and turning her into a laughing stock, desperate pathetic 40 plus who is needy and needs Alist actors to make her look relevant.

jennifer Ansiton opened the Pandora Box when she opened her mouth and invited graciousely and deliberatly the media, the public to mendle into her divorce and to take sides. She nourrished it and set the strategy aimed at revenge.
Now that she probably has moved on, the media and some people didn’t and don’t want to leave her alone to manage her personal business as she wants, the way she wants since she cried for so long to be babysitted launching pity parties left and right and painting herself as a national tragedy (She was shocked and the world was shocked according her own rhetoric…talk about flattering herself and her super ego).
Remembered when she said something like : “people should STFU about her relationship with Mayer” when she took him the second times around.

She did the same thing in her latest interview. She said “if I’m a picture” of “loneliness,” then I accept that, and “I stand for everyone who feels that way.” SORRY, she’s not a victim. She brings this stuff up heself because her fan base relates to her heartache. So, she plays on their heart strings so they will support her crappy movies. It’s always good pr for her.
She seems to cultivate the poor me persona because it’s what works for her (“I still believe in love.” Really? Really??) Seems calculated to appeal to the lonely heart types who will identify with it and flock to her movies. Pretty insulting to women actually. Aniston is ambitious and seems like she’d do whatever to keep her career going. Seems like she’s adopted an “if you can’t beat ’em, join em” pragmatic attitude. She seemed angry over being viewed as an “every woman” but now seems to be rolling with it. Then she whines and complains about the media attention and painting her pathetic because it can’t look like she’s directing it. If she’s really bothered by it, she could retire on her mega millions. It’s not like she’s changing the world with her movies. She’s still not as offensive as Jolie who exploits human suffering for personal gain and is a walking hypocrisy.
Gerard Butler is a deluded miscreant who thinks he’s charming. He’s not even good looking to compensate. Hopefully he didn’t look back. She’s got lousy taste in men , if any of this is true and not just more tiresome pr manipulation.

In theory, yes. But she’s an actress. Why on earth would she give up work while she can still get it? She can’t play a romantic lead forever. I doubt she really cares about every nonsensical “Jen’s a desperate hag” story out there because if she did, she’d be a complete nutcase by now.
Actors thrive on attention, good or bad. That’s why they are actors.
dol, You may find Jolie offensive for exploiting human suffering for personal gain, but you do ever stop to think that:
(a) the kids with bikes in Namibia thank her,
(b) the thousands of cambodian villagers whose lives are improved because funding through Maddox Jolie Pitt Project, the building of schools, factories and helping to fund the millenia village thank her,
(c) the AIDS infected children who would now be dead and their parents who now benefit from the medical care and treatment paid for by the Maddox Chivan thank her
(d) the refugees in places such as Afghanistan and Pakistan who now have a tent over their heads and orthopedic beds thank her
(e) the people of New Orleans who lost their homes and could not recover from their insurance (yes, insurance policies are very very tricky, read the fine print), thank Brad and her,
(f) the new clinic being built in Ethiopia which is modelled after the Maddox Chivan Children’s clinic in Cambodia will provide much needed care of AIDS and TB infected children, will thank her.
and on and on it goes.

It isn’t just photo ops sweetheart. She and Brad put their money into it. It might make you sick to think she’s benefitting from the good PR but I’m sure every parent whose child was saved by the medication provided to MCCC or whose child now gets to go to school and learn something and perhaps escape the worse of the poverty trap are just GRATEFUL.

@lylian: Showing up to a soup kitchen once a month is sometimes ALL a person can do to help. We don’t all have millions of dollars to give away or weeks or months of time to give away.
Most of us are working stiffs who are at jobs 8 hours a day or are looking for jobs for longer hours a day. Some of us only have time once a month to help out someone more needy than us.
A person doesn’t have to have millions to give away to make a difference.

I loved the comment Aniston made about her continuing to talk abouy “it” as long as the world is going to talk about “it”. She has every right to discuss what goes on in her life, because it is hers. The only reason she is personified this way is because that is all the world wants to talk about. I think she was very classy about the beginning of the end with her then husband. It wasnt until Angelina started talking about how they fell in love on set, and she cant wait to show her kids MAMS because that was when mommy and daddy fell in love, that Aniston started making her so called “catty” comments.I would to if that were my high profile marriage crumbling under scrutiny.
It’s time the world left both parties alone, and moved on. I enjoy all actors ivolved and I hope they all continue to make great movies!
Gerard is such a hot, sexy, charismatic, talented man….People are always trying to hook him up with any woman who’s in the news. He’s incredibly smart, kcharming, and he could have any woman…Cheryl Hines, the actress, said that when she worked with him on”The Ugly Truth”(which has made now over 191 million!)his eyes “mesmerized” her, and he charmed not only her, but also her mother and her young niece. He’s so attractive and funny, that many overlook his impressive acting range. Aniston probably does have a crush on him..she picked him for this movie. Just as Jollie picked him personally to be her sexy co-star in “TombraiderII”…Now thata he is starring in and producing a winner in “Law Abiding Citizen”, he’s even more in demand. Look to see him next year in “Corionlanus”…Ralph Fiennes personally selected him to be his co-star in this Shakespearean tragedy. And..I didn’t even mention his wonderful physique!
