We learned in October that Katharine McPhee and David Foster were expecting their first child together. “Together” being the operative word there, because David, of course, has five other children from his numerous earlier relationships. However, we stupidly didn’t pay enough attention to Katharine’s announcement that she secured her meal ticket was experiencing the magic of pregnancy, because now she’s on Instagram playing games with us about how many miracles she’s currently gestating. On Wednesday, Katharine posted this photo to her IG page:

It’s a lovely shot, her styling is gorgeous. On its own, I wouldn’t think anything of it, not even with the little pink bow emojis, considering her hair is done back with a bow. However, just a few hours later, she posted another beautiful shot:
I love that Katharine featured her pregnancy bump in this photo and her pregnancy boobs in the first. Pregnancy boobs don’t get the recognition they deserve because they truly are glorious. But this shot is a little more obvious. Pink followed by blue seems pretty deliberate. She’s dropping hints or at least wants us to think she is. So, if Katharine wants us to play along, let’s do it. Clearly her choice of emoji are hints to the names. They’re having a boy named Hartley and a girl named Bowie. The extra heart is probably just because David thinks of Prince Harry so much like a son, that this is their unofficial announcement that they’ve hypothetically adopted him.
Whatever Katharine has up her sleeve I’m sure she’ll confirm it soon enough. She looks great and hopefully that’s indicative of a smooth pregnancy. Ol’ Hartley and Bowie will be David’s sixth and seventh kids, Hartley making his first son (well, aside from Harry). Congrats to Katharine on her baby or babies or whatever she’s trying to tell us. I’m glad she’s having fun with her pregnancy because once the twins, if that’s what she’s having, arrive, that’s a lot of work. And 70-year-old dads who like to leave child rearing to their wives are a lot less charming when two babies are screaming at once.

At this point I associate the look of this much fiddling with older women, so she actually looks older to me than someone in her mid-thirties. Especially in that last photo of them walking.
I agree…..why?! She is trying to look younger for her young husband? She was so beautiful, and I am sure still is, and this is all so unnecessary. Well, I hope she has healthy babies and they have happy childhoods. That is all.

Probably because David likes to claim that he raised Brandon and Brody Jenner (and maybe he did, depending on how you look at it, Bruce sure as heck didn’t do it)
I read Linda Thompson’s book on vacation once and she did give Foster credit for being an involved stepfather to her sons. As you said, Bruce wasn’t there for his kids at all.

It will last as long as she can take care of him. He mentioned it in his Netflix documentary that he likes women taking care of him. That’s why he dumped Yolanda – she got sick and couldn’t take of him anymore.
I was just going to say this. The only season I watched of RHWOBH was the one Yolanda was married to David. He’s a piece of work. Hopefully Katherine has a good pre nup and a Rolodex of nannies ready to go.

I have a feeling they’ll be together until he croaks. She seems really desperate for attention (which is why I’m surprised she has less than 1 million IG followers), so I feel like staying with him, having his kids while he’s in his 70s will give her what she wants. Plus after he’s gone, she can be the grieving widow with a massive fortune (he seems to be the type of man to give everything to his new family)

And rumor has it that he isn’t all that charming to his women in general. The man never looks happy or engaged with his surriundings. He actually looks insufferable to me but congrats to them I guess.
Based on his lack of patience with his ex-wife Yolanda’s lyme disease, those crying, barfing, leaky poopy babies will have to be far far away in another wing of the house when he’s around. I’m sure he’ll show up for pap pics of them taking the air with the babies in the stroller though.

Absolutely! Loved her in “Chicago”. She is living and thriving with bipolar disorder and open about her struggles with it. Also standing by her husband during his cancer treatment. Good mom as well. Reportedly has nice kids.
Ahhh…Michael Douglas. Another stellar father…and who hinted he got throat cancer from oral sex (hint hint wifey pooh). Never occurred to him that a lifetime of smoking and self-proclaimed sex-addiction might’ve done it, but all eyes went to CZJ.

I don’t care for either one of them. I remember her from American Idol. She lost, not based on her talent which she clearly has, but based on her personality. And I remember seeing him on some reality show and thinking he was a cranky, obnoxious jerk. Congrats on the twins, though.

hahaha. No. Unless the used some kind of donor through a fertility specialist. The whole point of being the fifth wife of a man in his 70s and having his baby is to secure your own financial future. She wouldn’t mess with that.
I hope the babies are healthy. Not many people seem to realize/care that PATERNAL AGE contributes to MANY health issues in embryos/babies, incl. schizophrenia, autism, etc.

Fertility treatments 🙃That’s how we had ours! Embryos splitting increases with age and certain fertility procedures (like genetic testing it increases slightly). Or with IVF you put two in and both took like ours 💙💙 The US regulates how many embryos they’ll put in, so when you see more than triplets usually that’s with IUI or medicated baby dancing not IVF.
Yep. Celebs have enough money to decrease the uncertainties of getting pregnant. Many don’t have the time, either with mother nature or their schedules, to roll the dice for 6-12+ months trying the old fashion way. They skip straight to IVF, put back two, and sometimes they both take.
IVF is still really hard (physically, mentally, emotionally) and not an all an easy way out, but it’s a route many will take. I’d say the vast majority of celeb twins were IVF, double put backs.
I had mine without any treatment, but yes, IVF and fertility treatments often lead to multiples depending on the number of implants they do.
Madonna doesn’t have twins – daughter Lourdes by Carlos Leon, son Rocco by Guy Ritchie, and a couple of adopted kids from Malawi.

I like knowing who is a Trumper and who isn’t. It’s wonderful shorthand for the answer to, “Do I want anything to do with this person/company/group?” I met someone through work recently who seemed quite nice and smart, but then I learned he was a Trumper (in 2016 at least) and i said yeah, NO, dude. I don’t care how nice you seem, you’re not someone I want to know further.

I don’t see why there is all this hate for her. I think her husband has always loved beautiful women and for all we know, he can be a great husband. Yes, he’s older than she is, but he didn’t date or marry her when she was 18 or 20. Don’t get me wrong, I usually hate these much older rich man, younger women narratives. Somehow I just don’t get the same vibes about this relationship. I could be totally wrong, but other women in these relationships (Catherine Zeta-Jones, April Love Geary, etc.) don’t get the nastiness that Katherine is getting.
I just read another commentator saying they are Trumpites. I’d just like to delete my former post defending them. That is a deal breaker.
