This is what I’ve been saying. What happened yesterday was no secret, these people have been all over SM talking about this and recruiting for this. So for the magas to now claim it was ANTIFA in disguise is effing deplorable!!! Yet so many faux news watchers are eating it up and spreading it all over SM. I seriously can’t take it and am going to have to stop watching the news for a few weeks. News outlets should not be covering any of the a$$holes in congress that are spewing this conspiracy to skirt any responsibility once again.
I watched him speak last night. The man has absolutely no shame… like I can’t even imagine what the inside of his brain must sound like. To stand up, after everything that happened yesterday and after the sitting president basically instigated and blessed an attempted coup, and adopt a tone of joking joie de vie? I couldn’t even deal with it… the way he laughingly said “Trump and I have had quite a journey”… it’s not a joke, you seditious little worm. It’s not funny. It’s not something to be looked back on with warm chuckles and mild regret. It was literally earlier that same day that the president, with whom he’s had such a fun journey, incited violent white supremacists to attempt an overthrow of the sitting government and overturn the results of a democratic election. And he had the nerve to stand there and chuckle?! To act like it was just a funny little blip on the radar, as if one day he’s sure we’ll all look back on this and laugh!?!?!?!?

It was one of the worst, most shameful displays I’ve ever seen from an elected official, anywhere. So much so, that my stomach hurts just thinking about it. Cannot even fathom the black hole that must exist where his conscience should be. There were a lot of truly awful, appalling, beyond description moments yesterday… but watching Lady G stand on the senate floor afterwards and joke his way through his speech to the sounds of applause just broke something inside of me.

You can’t pretend you didn’t defend Mitch McConnell’s refusal to grant confirmation hearings to Merrick Garland., You can’t pretend that you didn’t help Nagini crash John McCain’s funeral so she could play with her phone while his daughter eulogized him. You can’t pretend you didn’t accompany her on her overseas grifting trips. You can’t pretend you didn’t stand by and defend every horrible thing that man did from the Muslim ban to trying to deprive us all of healthcare to defunding the pandemic units to pay for the Wall. You can’t pretend you didn’t stand by while he allowed Putin to put bounties on our troops. You can’t pretend you didn’t leave every single day of the impeachment trial early or skipped days of hearings entirely. We all saw it. We all heard it. And most people face discipline when they show up drunk for work as you did last night. Where and when exactly were you drinking? Do you keep a stash of Jack Daniels in your office for those occasions when you have to go back to work after an attempted coup fails?

Update: A Capitol police officer has just died of injuries sustained in the riot yesterday. So that brings it to 6 deaths Trump is responsible for. Another point for those who say, “It’s just 13 days more.” A top official just said Trump can get the country into a conflict with a foreign power that Biden will then have to deal with on top of the pandemic and all the other trump fuck-ups. He wants everyone to fail now that he’s burning it all down (some Rethugs say he wanted the two Rethug Georgia senators to fail, too) so why wouldn’t he fuck us up even more by starting a war? He can do that in ONE minute. It wouldn’t even take 13 days. He’s a liar and a loser and he is armed and dangerous.
The police officer was murdered by a rioter, who hit the officer in the head with a fire extinguisher. The poor officer was taken off life support and died. They need to get video of the incident and find and charge the murderer. Also, there’s a law that if when a crime is committed, someone is murdered, ALL who took part in the crime are charged for the murder. Can all the insurrectionists be charged with this?
Update: Officer has not died, but is still on life support after being hit in the head with a fire extinguisher by an insurrectionist. His family says it looks bad for him and he has a blood clot in his brain.
Update. The officer died last night. He was 42 years old.
