Alex Rodriguez flew back to the Dominican Republic to spend more time with Jennifer Lopez this past weekend. He spent the weekend before with J.Lo too, and she’s in the Dominican Republic to film her latest movie. From the sound of Jennifer’s publicist’s comments to People Magazine last week, it does seem like Jennifer is okay with “staying” with Alex for the time being. For the sake of their kids and their business deals. But it’s clear that Alex has f–ked up and that their relationship has been rocky for months now.
Alex Rodriguez flew back to the Dominican Republic — where his fiancée, Jennifer Lopez, is filming a new movie — to continue to work on the couple’s strained relationship, Page Six has learned.
“They’re doing what they said they’re going to do,” a source told us Monday. “You have to be together to do that.”
We hear that A-Rod has trips scheduled to the D.R. to visit J.Lo every 10 days or so — and this weekend’s visit was one of his planned trips.
“Clearly they’re putting the work in,” the source added.
Earlier this month, Page Six learned the pair had broken off their engagement after reports of Rodriguez’s inappropriate relationship with “Southern Charm” star Madison LeCroy circulated online. However, less than 24 hours later, the couple stayed up all night working through their issues and seemed to have a change of heart. Since the brief split, Rodriguez, 45, has flown twice to the Dominican Republic, where Lopez, 51, is filming “Shotgun Wedding” alongside her heartthrob co-star Lenny Kravitz.
The rekindled lovers have packed on the PDA during their stay in the Caribbean, often being photographed kissing while meeting with their two assistants. A source told us that aside from Rodriguez spending time with Lopez, the sports broadcaster is also “playing golf and chilling.”
A-Rod shared photos of him on the course with his nephew Nick Silva, and captioned the slideshow using the hashtag “blessed.” We’re told Lopez has been “shooting around the clock” in the meantime.
Some of you have suggested that despite the “reunited and it feels so good” PR, this is actually the death rattle of J-Rod’s relationship. Will they still be together one month after Jennifer wraps Shotgun Wedding? I have my doubts. I think they’re in a holding pattern at the moment because Jennifer doesn’t have time to figure out how to split up with him. Anyway, whenever the breakup does happen, I’m sure Jennifer won’t have to wear it. She’s teflon in that way. Alex will get the blame (as he should, honestly). Also: J.Lo and Lenny Kravitz?!?! OMG.

Rodriguez goes every weekend now because Jlo said she is stressed when he is not around. He’s probably with the kids during the week and can manage not to f*ck up, so maybe during the weekend when the kids are away with the exes or have other stuff planned, that’s when it goes crazy for him with too much time on his hands and he starts picking up women like Madison Lecroy on social media or who knows – real flesh women… Well, he’s on a short leash now. Poor Alex, he lives in a godlen cage and poor Jlo she can’t have a break – working all week and then having a 5th kid to watch over. I can’t believe these 2 are 45 and 51. immaturity has no age. and loyalty is a hard thing to find these days.
For the life of me I cannot understand why she ended up with such a dog. A very well known dog. Not only has A-Fraud cheated on every woman he’s ever been with, he cheated in baseball (steroids, walking across the mound, slapping the ball out of Arroyo’s glove as he tried to tag him), illegal gambling, the list goes on and on. I lost most of my respect for Jen when she got with A-rod because he’s such a low life. I’ve now lost all of my respect for her for staying with him even though he’s clearly stepping out on her all the time. Literally almost anyone would be a better choice.

I am by no means a JLo Stan (I still can’t believe “she” got away with singing the N-word in a song they -still- play on the radio), but, to any JLo’s reading this, my ladies who hustle and brought themselves up from nothing, my single mothers, my A-type boss bitches: You can do better. You don’t need to settle. Demand that respect and walk away from anyone who won’t give it.
I think (hope?) this is what JLo is doing. Right now, all the break up stories include speculation that he cheated on her with some Bravo reality Z-lister who’s 21 years younger than her. If she sticks it out for another month or so, when they REALLY break up, it’s on her terms.
I honestly don’t think Lenny would be into her. He’s not for all of that stuff that comes with her.
