Prince William posted a very strange video to mark ANZAC Day on Sunday

william NHS call

Sunday was ANZAC Day, the day of remembrance for Australian and New Zealander soldiers who died in war, conflicts and peacekeeping operations. Because of the British Commonwealth, various British royals are sent out to do something in observance for ANZAC Day. This year, Princess Anne was sent out to attend the early-morning remembrance service. But don’t forget about the Other Brother! The Other Brother wanted a headline too! Which is why the crack(ed out) team at Kensington Palace did another one of their creepy-as-hell videos. Thank God they didn’t overlay Harry Styles’ “Watermelon Sugar” with this one.

Don’t laugh. You just don’t get it! Baldingham SIGNED something. AND HE FOLDED THE LETTERS. And put them in their envelopes! That counts as three events: the signing of the letters, the folding of the letters and placing them in envelopes! And then he will get credit for sending some staffer out to the Australian and New Zealand embassies with overcooked cookies. Gee, in remembrance of your war dead, here are six cookies, enjoy. I also don’t get the weird editing or why Kensington Palace has such a terrible in-house video team now. Ugh.

    Three events…… I’m dead!

    • PEARL GREY says:

I’m sorry but the Cambridge social media team must be abusing hallucinogens if they can’t see how unintentionally hilarious and cringe their ideas are. First we have Kate randomly wandering around outside with sheets of paper to stick on walls, then the bizarre Easter egg smashing video, now Will being filmed overhead putting paper in an envelope. Long may these shenanigans continue! It’s so regal!

      • Nina says:

The epitome of the success of a mediocre white man. If every woman and POC were rewarded for that level of mediocrity, we would have an amazing world and levels of personal satisfaction.

      • Lemons says:

The editing of this was terrible. No audio for half of the office shots, then sporadic windy audio for the outdoor shots. And what you delivered is literally being carried with one hand while the other holds a camera phone…Like…that’s your thanks? The resort I worked for gave better gifts to repeat clients.

      • bros says:

I love that it starts with a closeup of his bald spot, there is no editing out of the wind, it looks like a freshman in my marketing classes put this together. it’s SO F’ING BAD. The embassy staff cant even be bothered to sound thrilled. who the F wants cookies for a few people for a sad holiday like this. it’s so stupid. trying to ride the coattails of meghan’s banana bread.

      • Gabby says:

Ha! No on the hallucinogens, as it would have been visually interesting at least. These people are running on fear, red bull and sleep deprivation.

      • bluhare says:

I can tell I need to come around here more often. I didn’t know Kate was sticking paper to walls and breaking easter eggs. Just the sort of thing I want to see my future Queen doing.

      • Sid says:

Lemons, I am baffled at the editing and can’t believe that David the social media guy is the same guy who worked with the Sussexes and gave us such a great IG feed. I always assumed there was a lot of collab between him and Meghan given her blogging and SM background, but now I’m wondering if it was mostly Meghan directing him? Or if the Cambridges are just so uninspiring and uncreative that David has nothing to work with.

      • Lorelei says:

@Pearl Grey, ITA, I don’t know what they’re smoking but I want them to keep going because this stuff is so unintentionally HILARIOUS. This video…I don’t even know what to say. It’s one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever seen.

      • Lorelei says:

@Sid I just saw your comment and it is unreal to me that this is the same guy who ran the Sussexes’ SM accounts. I’m in no way a conspiracy theorist but I swear to god the only way that seems plausible is if he’s somehow being paid to turn W&K’s online presence into a punchline and purposely make them look absolutely ridiculous.

But you’re right: it was most likely that Meghan directing everything he did and THAT’S why the Sussexes IG was great. But good grief, this is so bad it has people questioning if it’s actually real?! I’m sorry but that shows that this dude is in the wrong line of work. How humiliating for everyone involved with this.

      • patronstofgin says:

It makes so much sense now that I see they’re trying to hire a new senior comms person

    • daddyissuesonpcp says:

@Gabby totally agree, if the staff dropped a tab before engaging in the editing process we might actually have seen some unusually uncharacteristic creativity!

PS. yes, you can actually do practical things and execute them well on the correct dosages of certain hallucinogens. half of Silicon Valley is coding on them. although…that might not be the best example.

  2. SarahCS says:

    WOW.

I mean I come here to dunk on the Dolittles but this is just awful, even taking my dislike of them out of the equation. I wish I could get paid so well for underperforming so badly.

    • Lori says:

I think they think they are trolling Megan. “We can bake and write letters too- so there!”

      • one of the Marys says:

The cookies jumped out at me too because she got some publicity for sending lemon cookies baked herself with lemons from her own garden. I thought this was an exact copy of what she did

      • Lemons says:

The difference is, we’re not getting a bad Instavideo highlighting the cookies which is rather pathetic.

      • swirlmamad says:

They totally suck at trolling then….because all this serves to do is make them look absolutely ridiculous! Lol.

      • Tom says:

100% trolling the Sussexes. The Other Brother can also hand write a note and deliver it with baked goods.

      • Amelia says:

“AnYthInG yOu cAn Do I cAN dO beTtER tHaN yOuUuUUu!!!”

      • Mustlovedogs says:

Aussie here. As background I think these are supposed to be what we call ANZAC biscuits. Traditionally baked for ANZAC Day as apparently they were sent to soldiers from home because they keep well without spoiling. They’re made with rolled oats and golden syrup. And are actually very nice.
BUT. These do not look like proper ANZAC biscuits- too thick and chunky. Oh and that video is hilariously bad. The paper crunching… The close up of the vast Siberian expanse of baldness… The scared looking embassy staff….

      • Mustlovedogs says:

Oops sorry. Realised the ANZAC biscuits thing has already been mentioned x

  3. Snuffles says:

Is it just me or does his office set up look completely thrown together? It does NOT look like an actual workspace.

    • Becks1 says:

That’s his fake office! That will never not be funny, lol. That’s the office they staged when they released the pictures of them “working” shortly before lockdown – remember Kate was in the salmon suit with the row of classics that she clearly had never even cracked open?

i love how William’s fake setup has wires all willy-nilly. I’m far from royal and my cords and wires are much more organized than that, LOL.

      • Snuffles says:

I mean, your average YouTuber can do a better job. These people do not understand optics. Which is bizarre because everything about the royal family is basically about optics.

      • Cessily says:

I did notice PW or whoever is at the desk (didn’t see a face is all) is not wearing a ring.. did he ever wear a ring or is that a new thing?

      • Becks1 says:

he has never worn a wedding ring. Harry wears one, Charles wears one (but not on his ring finger, its next to his signet ring I think), but William does not.

      • Cessily says:

@becks1 Thank you for the clarification on the ring..

      • ShazBot says:

I always thought that was weird how they announced it pre-wedding that William would not wear a ring, and everyone tried to spin it as a tradition or whatever, but taken together with everything else (the cheating and waffling over Kate, trying to look for “someone better”), it just seemed like another way in which William was pushing against what he was being forced to do.

      • notasugarhere says:

Becks1, I suspect she bought those classics in her pandemic PR bookstore shopping trip right before lockdown.

      • Isabella says:

EWWWW. Also, why do his phones have cords? Why is he posed with a big white printer? It’s turned a strange way, so that the paper will fall onto the floor. So corny and fake.

      • Celia456 says:

I’m convinced W &K have no idea what actual work entails so they’re like little kids playing office.

We see photos of them “working” at obviously unused desks; quotes about how excellent K is at zooming, as if that were an actual skill, not just being in a meeting; the weird pie chart; and inappropriate bum flashes during work events.

Conclusion: they have no idea what “work” is or how to look professional. This is their best cosplay.

      • Lorelei says:

@Becks Kate’s fake “office” setup will always be my favorite. It was basically her in a pantsuit (which to her = automatically a hardworking professional, I guess?), an antique desk with a fancy collector’s edition of all of the works of Jane Austen or whoever, a piece of paper, and one expensive pen. It was so, so funny and I still laugh every time I think about it.

I get that she’s never had a real job, but why doesn’t she have a better idea of what an actual person’s desk looks like? From being around the offices of KP, or even just from tv & movies? The fact that she didn’t even have a laptop is absolutely hilarious. I’d love to know if she genuinely thinks that’s what “working” is — that we toil away with a piece of paper and a pen for 40+ hours a week.

    • Anners says:

That header pic also looks like a stock photo “man on phone with serious expression”. Nothing they do seems genuine, but rather like untalented actors poorly going through the motions. It’s the weirdest thing!

Maybe it’s the dead eyed bit?! I’m at a loss as to how two living breathing humans can continuously come off so robotic and fake.

    • Alexandria says:

Snuffles, it’s not you. Somebody here mentioned the handles of that side drawer are facing the opposite way. For a normal and actual work desk set up, it should be facing you because you know…u put your handbag, laptop bag, stationery, files inside there for easy access. Can’t unsee that.

      • bluhare says:

William works in his own home and has no need for bags and stuff, nor stationery. So the drawers and printer are all wrong so the staff people get them and he doesn’t get tainted by peasant work. Although if I were a maid in that place that fire would get banked HARD. Assuming he ever sits there when he’s not having his pic taken.

      • Sid says:

Wow bluhare! Good to see you posting.

    • Nina says:

Because it is a prop, not an office. Even the printer looks out of place.

    • cassandra says:

It reminds me of the Trump Oval Office desk

      • booboocita says:

The desk in the Oval Office is the Resolute Desk. It was a gift from Queen Victoria in 1880, and has been used by many presidents, including the last five. George HW Bush kept it in the White House, but not in the Oval Office, and the desk was on display in the Smithsonian for most of Jimmy Carter’s presidency. Neither Nixon nor LBJ used it, although the thing was in the White House. JFK used it, and there are photos of him working at the desk with his kids playing under it. I assure you it’s a working desk with a huge amount of history behind it. Trump using it as a photo prop was a desecration.

      • cassandra says:

        That was….my point?

The way Trump had the desk set up made it was very obvious that he never actually did any work there.

      • Dee says:

Trump had the button for summoning a butler with a Diet Coke, remember?

  4. equality says:

That video is odd. Is it supposed to give the impression that Will himself walked to deliver the cookies but he really did not and so they can’t show the face of the deliveryman? I also wonder how many people work at those offices. Did they get 1 cookie each, half a cookie, one quarter?

    • (The OG) Jan90067 says:

It looks like the “Snausages” commercial from the dog’s vantage point, when it’s trying to get a treat from it’s person. Lol. That is literally all I heard while the cookies were being carried 😄

      • Cessily says:

Now that’s going to be in my head for the rest of the day🤦🏼‍♀️ To funny!

      • Agreatreckoning says:

@(The OG) Jan90067 I kept thinking it reminded of something. Read your Snausages comment and remembered the Beggin’ Strips commercial.
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vnit_xL1hE
        Bacon. Bacon. I smell bacon

        Biscuits. Biscuits. I smell biscuits.
It would have been a nice gesture if they left the video out. The video almost seems to be a mockery of the day. I’m sure that isn’t the intention, just demonstrates how badly they execute ideas. Purse strings must be tightening up if each place only gets 6 biscuits. I like oatmeal cookies and would be interested in trying the Anzac biscuits.

      • Monica says:

Exactly. Like a dog with a GoPro, I thought! So kingly.

    • Nina says:

What the hell! Who came up with that stupid idea. That is grade school-level action. Even a preteen could come up with a better idea to commemorate the war dead, than this. Six cookies, and was it even delivered to the actual embassies, or did they just place random people at some random doors and pretended it was the entrances to the embassies.

And why only the Australian and New Zealand embassies, what about the other colonies like Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa whose inhabitants were conscripted by the then colonial governments. O, that right they don’t count because those were black people.

      • ElleV says:

It’s ANZAC day – a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. It’s not a general commonwealth remembrance day – please google before you dismiss another country’s day of mourning.

    • L84Tea says:

It reminds me of the episode from “The Office” where they made their own Dunder Mifflin commercial and it involved watching a piece of paper fly around to different people from the paper’s POV.

      • WithTheAmerican says:

Yeah but The Office commercial was actually full of heart. This one, I can’t even. I thought the criticism had to be exaggerating and I hate giving the work shy clicks, but after I watched I was just dumbfounded.

His bald head is the focus, over which he is signing a letter, a servant carries cookies. Lots of wind. Ok.

      • ElleV says:

        @ L84Tea omg you’re so right!

@WithTheAmerican – to your point about not wanting to give clicks to the work shy… i wonder if whoever is making these videos KNOWS that and is making weird content on purpose knowing it will get more traction than something polished since many people either don’t care or actively dislike W + K, and the stans will stan no matter what?

    • Kacy says:

You can see the reflection of the delivery person in the glass. Definitely someone else, super awkward.

    • Lorelei says:

@Equality I HAVE TO know if William thinks that everyone watching that video actually believes that was him. I haven’t read any Twitter comments yet but I’m sure there are a fair amount of people who 100% thinks he did that personally and are praising him.

Imo, this video shows us that this is how W&K (and their team) view the things put out by the Sussexes. They must think something like, it’s “artsy,” personal, unusual = people will love it.” Except lol no. Everyone loved the Sussexes’ approach because it WAS actually different from the usual boring, formal palace content, but most of all because it was genuine. I think that this is Bill cosplaying what he thinks people see when we see Harry and Meghan. LMAO

      • Amy Too says:

The Cambridges are so deaf and blind to what it is that people actually like about the Sussexes. Kate saw the iconic photo of Harry and Meghan smiling at each other under an umbrella with diamonds in the sky around them, walking in sync to one of their last events as working royals, and she thought: “huh, this very specific shade of blue that Meghan is wearing must be why people are responding so well to this photo. I will go out, on my own tomorrow, with a sour expression on my face, to shop for books during the day wearing an ugly coat in that shade of blue and get myself photographed and I will also be beloved.” Or copying the Zoom room. “People like to watch their zooms because they sit on a couch instead of at a computer desk, I will do that too. Hmmm, that didn’t seem to work for some reason… oh, it must be the plants in the background! I’ll copy that.” They’re so superficial. It makes me think that they assume that everyone around them is faking their interest in charity work just like they are, and that Sussex fans, like Cambridge fans, are extremely shallow and don’t actually care about H and M’s work, and personalities, and abilities, and charisma, and ingenuity, and drive, and their super loving relationship… we just like blue dresses, couches, and social media posts about absolutely anything. How isolated are they from the world, but also even from the other members of the royal family, to really think that charity work and projects and foundations and patronages are all just a charade that people pretend to play at so that they can be photographed in new dresses and have articles written about their shiny hair and cute kids? How empty are their lives (and souls) when they honestly believe that furniture placement and barrel curls are the number one top priority, most important things for their reputation and legacy? They just don’t get it. And I find it unbelievable that anyone could really be as stupid and dense and shortsighted as they truly, actually seem to be.

      • equality says:

@Kacy pointed out that you can see the delivery person reflected in the glass door and somebody on Instagram pointed out that if it were Will the ladies would have curtsied.

  5. Bettyrose says:

The opening shot of Will’s head should be submitted for Oscar consideration.

  6. Cessily says:

If it wasn’t on their Instagram account I would think it was a joke.. is it satirical? I just can’t imagine that was meant to be sincere🤷🏼‍♀️ I don’t get it at all. I wonder if the small bag of cookies is significant.

    • Anners says:

I think they may have been ANZAC biscuits

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anzac_biscuit

    • molee says:

Those cookies look like ANZAC Biscuits which were sent in care packages to Australian and New Zealand troops serving overseas. They were also baked and sold at home to raise funds for causes associated with the military. They’re made of oats, coconut and golden syrup which is like a mix of molasses and sweet corn oil. They taste like a nutty oatmeal cookie. I like them.

      • Anna222 says:

They’re the best biscuits. Unless my mother makes them, in which case I quote my dad “you’d have to be an Anzac to eat the bastards”.

      • molee says:

        @Anna222
100% agree! I live in the US, and our family special orders CSR golden syrup and use it solely for ANZAC biscuits. Now if I could just figure out the trick to Pavlova….

      • Lemons says:

I appreciate that there is a history behind the cookies, but the execution is so off!! Like…you delivered this to an embassy, so why not a basket of cookies with flowers? Something substantial…

      • Becks1 says:

@Lemons – its so off. Include a bit about the history of the cookies – I am happy that CB has posters from all over the world who can tell us, but KP could have done a little more work here. Heck share a recipe for the cookies! Clarence House has started doing this more and more – sharing recipes to highlight traditional food from different regions of the UK, Buckingham Palace shared a few holiday recipes – I think providing a sentence or two about the cookies and maybe the recipe would have made this post SO much better.

      • Lemons says:

@Becks1 It would have been an easy win, but providing detail and history about this event and the traditions around it would be too much like Sussex and too much like Clarence House and BP now. They are sticking to the “Keen, but never seen” branding.

      • Dilettante says:

@Lemons – love it! The “Keen, but never seen” branding!😀

      • Lorelei says:

@Lemons/Becks: ITA but 1) it’s doubtful that they’re creative enough to even think to do that, and 2) it would be too much work to gather up all of that information.
        Idiots

    • Annie Smalls says:

      6 biscuits only!!! I can’t…
I could eat 6 ANZAC biscuits in a single sitting so I don’t know what a whole embassy is going to do with only 6 biscuits. It would make for a very sad morning tea.

As a side note for those interested – in WW1 10% of the NZ population served in the war, of which 60% died so it was a huge loss for NZ who only had a population of 1mil at the time.
Personally I hate that we lost so many people fighting as part of the Commonwealth for Britain when we benefit so little from being part of it (the Commonwealth and the Queen’s subjects).

  7. OriginalLala says:

lol what did I just watch? is the KP trolling them?

    • Lorelei says:

How did William watch that and think, “Yup, perfect, send it out.” Like…how??

  8. Eleonor says:

I like how everything is so staged.
I mean this is William doing the cosplay of “normal people working from home”.

  9. Woke says:

They’re trying very hard. The video is actually not bad, I read that the biscuits are a traditional thing. It just seems so odd, like the vibe of the video doesn’t match their fanbase or the personality of William and Kate.
I feel like it’s something Harry and Meghan could have done(they would’ve delivered it themselves) and we wouldn’t have found fault in it.

    • Cessily says:

I would still be asking why and what is the significance of the cookies..? I still am clueless about smashing chocolate.

      • SarahCS says:

Yeah they look like Anzac biscuits. It might have been an idea to mention this in the caption/video! Makes them look marginally more together.

      • bluhare says:

I think mentioning that and also providing the recipe would be a great idea.

    • Snuffles says:

OK, but that begs the question. Does your average person know this? Same with the chocolate egg smashing. This imagery seems VERY local. Aren’t they trying to reach a global audience? I’m not saying don’t do the traditions but at least provide some context because it looks like utter nonsense to everyone else.

      • Woke says:

I think it was more for an younger audience than a global one. The biscuits are anzac biscuits they were sent to the soldiers during the war so I don’t think without the info a global audience would have understood.
And that’s where the difference lies with Harry and Meghan. They would’ve explained the significance of the biscuits.

      • Anna222 says:

I think the audience is Au/NZ on this occasion and biscuits are poignant for us. The execution is terrible though, how do they get this so wrong?

      • ElleV says:

This video is dumb but no, it’s not very local to celebrate a national remembrance day of two whole countries? ANZAC day is a big deal in Australia, at least where I grew up, and the cookies are a big part of that – this is no different from any of the other well-wishes countries send each other on days of national significance. Sometimes a message isn’t significant to you because it’s not for you and it doesn’t have to be.

      • Margaret says:

Not a big fan of William, but in this case I will give him a pass. As our constitution currently stands, one day he will be Head of State in Australia and our king, same in New Zealand, so it’s fine for him to do acknowledge this important occasion here and do something to honour it. ANZAC is not just about remembering those who served in wars generally – we have Remembrance Day in November for that – ANZAC Day is primarily about the ANZAC landings at Gallipoli in 1915 as part of the ill-fated Dardanells Campaign. Gallipoli is a very big deal here and many ANZAC biscuits are baked or bought, and eaten. Though why on earth he send our embassy staff only six biscuits is mystifying. I could easily eat six ANZAC biscuits myself in one sitting. I suppose he thought it was a thoughtful token and I am prepared to accept that is what it was.

    • Kalana says:

Nah, it’s just KP turning put another crap performance. They are tryhards but they’re not trying very hard.

    • Abby says:

Not to cape for this ridiculous video but I really associate ANZAC Day with these ANZAC cookies/biscuits. My Australian friends always talk about making them for this day.

    • molee says:

That was some faint gratitude, indeed! I wonder if the recipients are under royal command not to roll eyes, shake heads, mutter, and scowl at this meager impersonal gesture — at least not while on camera.

    • Lemons says:

Harry & Meghan would not have executed like this. They for real made one tray of cookies for two embassies, then followed it up with a bad video that any social media professional would cringe at.

    • Chaine says:

@Woke, exactly, Harry and Meghan would have baked them themselves and taken to deliver them themselves, and Harry having served in combat could probably have said something very meaningful about the honored dead.

  10. Cecilia says:

If this is unwilling& unable trying to pander to a younger audience they are failing. Its just a bit cringe. Somebody needs to tell william that hip influencer is simply not their brand.

    • Amy Too says:

Younger as in like 2-4 years old, maybe. It seems like something a toddler would sit and watch, completely enthralled. It’s incredibly simple, it’s shot so that the child can pretend they are the delivery person. It’s like something you’d see on Sesame Street. “Let’s pretend we’re cookie delivery people!” It seems like it should be accompanied by very simple, upbeat, childish music.

    • UnionSnack says:

So true. They tried to make it creative but made it cringe. I wonder how Wills didn’t say “how do you do fellow kids?” in the end.

    • Demi says:

The women on the receiving end don’t look that amused either but they trying to be nice 😀

  11. Aurora says:

He looks like the walking dead in that first photo. If they’re going to stage photos like this they might as well invest in a make-up and lighting crew.

  12. AVEA says:

I remember when people were bitching about Sussex Royal being “too Hollywood” and “too influencer-y” and “cringe!” and now we have this and smashing chocolate bunnies for Easter and pasting random signs on random walls. Is it influencer-y and cringy only when a former actress named Meghan is involved?

Can’t wait for the daily vlogs and Kate’s morning routine!

    • Becks1 says:

I forgot about the easter video. That was so weird too.

    • Amy Bee says:

Don’t forget the video of Kate re-opening a box to promo the coffee table book.

      • Cessily says:

Now that I remember that it truly is strange that they are not seen in any of them.. maybe their staff is doing the videos on there own.. stranger things have happened. The “we are here, you just can’t see us” campaign is a mystery.

      • ArtHistorian says:

Didn’t a journo let slip that the KP staff only see their royal bosses once a month?

      • Becks1 says:

@ArtHistorian – I think Scobie said that in a special about H&M once – it was funny bc I really don’t think he was trying to drag the Cambridges, I think he was trying to shed light on the idea of Meghan “bullying” the staff and how of course she seemed a little extreme wanting to have regular meetings bc they were only used to having meetings once a month.

  13. Snuffles says:

Didn’t they hire the Sussex’s former social media manager? Is he half-assing his job on purpose? Or was his work with the Sussex’s just executing THEIR ideas? Because it doesn’t look like he has any of his own. Or maybe the Cambridges are giving him nothing to work with.

    • Becks1 says:

I’m thinking a lot more was coming from the Sussexes than we realized. Or, he just can’t get Will and Kate on board. So here, he probably says “why dont you do a voice over William” and William’s like, nah, I did a video for St. Patrick’s Day, and Kate and I did a voice over in December, the public doesn’t have a right to hear my voice more than that.

      • Wiglet Watcher says:

OR the video ideas require more participation from W and K and they have refused. Refused to work or be I. The same room together. Idk.

Or maybe the Sussex video person is trolling them.

    • Betsy says:

I think it’s 50/50. They don’t bring any ideas and they won’t execute someone else’s ideas.

      • Nina says:

I think the Sussex’s had more input and he was only executing their ideas. They hired him thinking they were getting that quality of work. Without Meghan’s creative skills and ideas that guy is just meh. Placed with W&K and you have double meh because they have nothing.

    • The Hench says:

I used to work as a marketing professional. Clients would pay my company literally millions for our expertise and advice and then some half-arsed idiot with no experience on the Client side would ignore said expensive advice and do what they wanted. It would be inevitably fairly crap. Then they would blame us. This feels like it could be the same dynamic…

ETA I just watched the video. Hahahahahaha. *breathe* Hahahaha. WTF was with the SOUND as well? *wipes eyes*

      • TigerMcQueen says:

Did we work together??? This is my life.

I have a cousin who loves to complain about “marketers” and their influence and how everything wrong with the world is due to “marketers.” One day, I finally told her she had no idea what she was talking about, because marcom professionals (of all media, in all my years of working) are constantly overruled by some idiot upper manager on the client side. I said I wished we had the power she thought we did, because my job would be so much more fulfilling, lol.

      • Greywacke says:

That was my thought. They ignore all kinds of good advice, I’m sure.

      • nutella toast says:

        SIX cookies per embassy?
        *checks wikipedia*
Queen’s estimated net worth: 530 million
Cost to make 12 Anzac Biscuits: Approximately $8 ($4 per embassy)
Well, don’t go showering all that cash in one place royal fam.

The starting shot with the head and all the insanely distracting noise…geesh. I bet William thought it was “brilliant”.

    • ABritGuest says:

I wonder whether Harry was the more creative thinker when it was the trio doing brainstorming under KP, and that’s one reason why some keep saying William needs Harry.

      • Emily_C says:

Or the only one with the slightest bit of imagination at all. And ability to do simple math. 6 cookies. Appalling.

  14. Becks1 says:

It’s so WEIRD. Things they could have done to make it less weird – William reads the letter out loud in a voice over as the video shows it being delivered, there is some sort of music playing (maybe a national New Zealand or Australia song, I dunno), SOMETHING. a dead quiet video with William folding a letter and putting it in an envelope and then the envelope being walked through town…..that was just bad. What is their social media person thinking??

    • Merricat says:

It really is like student work. Lol.

      • (The OG) Jan90067 says:

My nephews were making movies as school projects in Jr. Hi. THEY KNEW to include music and/or voice overs at appropriate points. NO ONE EVER handed in a dead video. (I know because I went to the presentations lol).

    • Betsy says:

That they have to have a deliverable by the end of Sunday and this is best he can get them to do. Filming William folding paper and stuffing three envelopes, then that same staffer mounting a camera at chest level and carrying cookies around town.

Separately, it looks like the official color of ANZAC day is white and red (poppies). What’s with the blue ribbon?

Why not make a rosemary wreath or something? ANZAC biscuits look great, but six per building? These people are sad.

    • SarahCS says:

I thought my sound was off.

  15. Jo73c says:

    Dear Australia and New Zealand,
I’m sorry our terrible military mismanagement led to the deaths of so many of your fine soldiers at Gallipoli. Here, have some ANZAC biscuits.

    • Allyn says:

I will never understand how Winston Churchill had a political career after Gallipoli. Never.

      • SarahJane says:

He didn’t. He was forced to resign. He enlisted and fought on the Western Front. Like him or hate him, you got to respect him for that. He honestly thought he was done in politics. However the world changed and the style of warfare changed. The allies needed someone like Churchill.

      • Nyro says:

Churchill really is like the poster boy for white dudes failing upward.

      • Ann says:

From what I hear, Australians still hate the guy. He had a career in England after a period “in the wildnerness”” because among the post-WWI rulers of England, he was the one who kept hating the Germans, who suspected them of gearing up for another war and who openly said so when all the others where burying their heads in the sand and appeasing Hitler.

But if I were an Australian and PW sent me an Anzac biscuit, I’d throw it away. I’m American and I’ll never forgive Churchill for Gallipoli or for the dumb-ass moves he later pulled in WWII because he always thought he knew better than the experts. That’s what being an English aristocrat will do to you.

      • booboocita says:

I remember reading a biography of Dwight Eisenhower a few years back. When Ike was the leader of the Allied armed forces, Churchill would call him at 2 am to discuss some “brilliant” idea he’d had for battle, and they were usually ideas that would have seen Allied forces killed in great numbers. Eisenhower would listen politely for a bit, then try to ease Churchill off the phone so he could get back to sleep. Eisenhower’s aides always knew if Churchill had called because poor Ike would be a bear at work the day after, and they’d try to find some time for him to nap.

      • Nic919 says:

Churchill with the help of Mountbatten was also behind the Dieppe Raid which was the worst day for casualties for Canadians in WWII. Basically canadian troops were sent as guinea pigs because they needed to do something following the retreat at Dunkirk.

      • SenseOfTheAbsurd says:

Funny thing about ANZAC day in NZ – nobody holds any kind of grudge against the German or Turkish soldiers, but Churchill and the UK command haven’t been forgiven. In WW2 we refused to be under British command.

As for this stupid biscuit stunt – at least show the kids mixing and baking as they learn about the history or something. Even PWT could make ANZAC biscuits with some clear instructions and adult help. They’re the easiest cookies to make. A monkey could do it.

    • SarahCS says:

We watched Gallipoli years ago at school (I want to say Mel Gibson was in it..?) and the horror of it really stayed with me. We should be giving them more than biscuits.

      • SenseOfTheAbsurd says:

All kinds of awkwardness came out as archived files were declassified, showing that Aus and NZ had been arm-twisted into participation in WW1 by the UK threatening to cut off lamb imports, and suchlike. We know how hard they screwed us over.

  16. RedWeatherTiger says:

When the faceless delivery person gave the first roll of cookies to the person… but there was ANOTHER roll of cookies right after it…like a Royal Pez dispenser of cookies to honor the dead. It just doesn’t get keener than that.

  17. Ellie says:

I can clear up the cookies mystery at least. They are Anzac biscuits, that the troops ate and were often sent from home, because they last ages, and it’s traditional to have them on Anzac Day. Everything else, I cannot explain!

    • Becks1 says:

Thanks for the info! and see, that would have been something good for KP to include in the IG message.

      • Cessily says:

Yes, because that is interesting and learning something new is always a good thing. Thank you for answering that mystery.

    • Lady D says:

I just checked out the recipe and the cookies sound good. They appear to be a oatmeal/coconut cookie, so easy to make.

  18. Ann says:

Hey, here’s an idea. Print a picture of Will’s face on cardstock. Get some scissors and a string of elastic and turn it into a mask. Place mask on staffer and he can show up at events and walk around pretending to be the future King of England. Because that’s no less dumb than this video.

    • (The OG) Jan90067 says:

Probably would show more interest and animation as well, as long as the cutout shows the clenched jaw.

  19. Willow says:

Have you ever seen one of those videos where they put the camera on a dog? Usually in a kids show, so you can get the perspective of a dog’s view. Of course it’s animated or digital or something, and you can hear the dog panting, and dog thoughts, or someone narrating. Anyway, that’s what this video reminds me of, without the funny dog commentary. Instead they added ASMR, which made it kind of weird.

    • (The OG) Jan90067 says:

HAHAHAHA I posted something similar above! There’s a dog treat commercial for “Snausages”, that is done from the dog’s perspective, including the dog’s excited utterances. THIS is what it was like, w/out the fun of the dog.

      • Willow says:

OMG! That’s what it reminded me of! I couldn’t figure it out! Num! Num! Num! Need more snausages! (My dogs are ROFL)

  20. Sofia says:

God it’s such an awkward video. That angle does William no favours and it’s been badly edited as a whole with too many jump cuts. A tune being overlayed would have worked better. I felt awkward watching it

  21. Christine says:

This is what happens when stilted, boring, ignorant people try to do something Sussexish. It’s a play from those tik tok videos popular now that show someone’s hand or something traveling from their home, to their car, plane, taxi, then the beach resort and then the drink lands in their hand. It’s beyond cringey. When do the new PR people start??????

  22. Erin says:

Come ON. This is Michael Scott’s local ad for Dunder Mifflin! KP has the same taste level as Michael Scott.

  23. Mich says:

That printer setup in the bottom pic has me confused. Why is it so prominent? Clearly it isn’t being used much because there is a picture in front of the paper tray. Is the picture supposed to hide it from view? Is the printer backwards? What is it even connected to? And how do they open the drawers of that stand with those cords in the way? Terrible staging.

    • IRMAVEP says:

Mich. Brilliant observation re the printer/photo disfunctional combo. Can it be that William has never actually worked, or even observed others working at a desk? He’s seen the work-related objects – desk, telephone, computer, printer, lamp, pencil & pen holder, photo of family, etc., but never given a thought as to how the whole setup actually functions. Note the electric cable from the printer is blocking the cupboard drawers – as well as being a health and safety risk [tripping people]. And who has a table lamp with a gigantic ceramic base sitting on a busy work desk? Also, William is left-handed – as seen in the Anzac Day video – so why is he holding the pen in his right hand and the phone in his left hand? It’s counter-intuitive! He must be a smoker- there’s a big ashtray visible in the closer shot, with a ciggie stubbed out. I don’t think this man has ever done one proper day’s work in his life

    • Dee says:

Some poor person was put out of their office so it could be used as Will’s prop office. That person will come back and have to arrange everything back to where it was so they can actually do their work.

      • notasugarhere says:

I don’t think it is anyone’s real office. It is simply one of the many fireplaces at the main house at Sandringham, now with prop desk, printer, and fake phone. Like the space Kate now uses to Zoom, which has a desk blocking a door. They’re poorly done PR sets, not working office spaces.

  24. swirlmamad says:

I cannot stop laughing. From the intro with his gleaming dome front and center, to the utterly BIZARRE shaky first-person camera shots (are we supposed to believe that is William delivering the cookies/letter????)…

Seriously, KP, lay off the drugs. WTF is this mess?

  25. Victoria says:

I am utterly confused. What the fuck is this supposed to do for anybody? That hand in the video is creeping me out.

    This is so stupid.

The Aussies and Kiwis deserve better…Thank God for Anne, I guess.

  26. Amy Bee says:

Kensington Palace is trying so hard that their videos now come off as weird and sad. Another thing, why did William fold the letter and it in the envelope? We all know as the principal he doesn’t do this.

  27. Sara says:

I know the biscuits are traditional, but I keep thinking about that part in “The Great” where she’s offering macarons to the soldiers at the front and they’re like wut okay

    • The Hench says:

What also bugged me is that ANZAC day is supposed to be about US thanking Australia and NZ for their immense service and sacrifice. This video is showing THEM thanking us for some measly biscuits and a two line note from Baldemort.

  28. IRMAVEP says:

What the…….! Yes, we can see the back of a bald head and a pair of disembodied hands folding letters and placing them in envelopes. BUT is the person actually Willy-or-wonty, or is it his bald, security doppelgänger? As for the photos of William on the telephone, they remind me of a previous set piece [can’t recall date – several weeks ago], where Wills is shown sitting at his desk iin front of a Zoom screen filled with several faces. Yet, in comprehensively, he is also holding a telephone receiver as though he’s talking to the Zoom faces via the ‘phone. Duh! Does he – or his lackeys – not know that his computer has a microphone and thus the telephone is surplus to requirements when using Zoom? So surreal was the setup that it was reminiscent of King George III’s periods of insanity, when he would greet and talk to trees in his gardens as though they were courtiers. What is the meaning of this eccentric Anzac Day video? Might Will’s idiosyncratic communication practices one day be discussed by historians in the same context as King George III’s irrational behaviour?

  29. Snuffles says:

Man, I REALLY hope Archewell gets on social media soon. Show them how it’s done!

    • Jais says:

Lol the CAMBRIDGES really hope that Archwell gets back on social media soon cuz they are floundering and need new ideas.

  30. Hirut says:

I am sorry but it looks like the walking hand is carrying poop shaped into biscuits. That is all I see.

  31. Feebee says:

They played the video on the evening news last night. I remember thinking what the hell are they doing? Also, of course Anne for the dawn ceremony. Maybe William was too exhausted after baking ANZAC biscuits and filling envelopes.

  32. Gah says:

This really made my morning. I had a rough go earlier and this has me laughing at least.

  33. IRMAVEP says:

I am increasingly getting the feeling that William is an absent presence – at official engagements, at home in his office, and in his personal life as a member of his family, he is physically present but he is emotionally absent. Whenever possible, Wills avoids direct eye contact with us, with people gathered to greet him at public events, and with his wife whenever they are seen together in public. He uses props – like the Order of Service he was carrying after Philip’s funeral – to avoid all human interaction. Did anyone else notice how he held the Order of Service booklet in both hands and looked down at it as he walked, so as not to engage in eye contact with Harry or with anyone else there. When Harry approached him, after a brief exchange of words, William’s stride increased to giant ‘seven-league-boots lengths, before he outpaced the others and disappeared ahead of his relatives. Strange, but Wills seems increasingly withdrawn, to the point of being just a pair of hands in the Anzac video. If I were assessing both brothers, I would say that William is the one with mental health issues – probably unacknowledged and possibly untreated. After all, if the Duchess of Sussex could not get help for suicidal thoughts because of how it would look, imagine what might happen if the Heir Presumptive needed, or sought treatment for, a mental health issue!

    • Harper says:

Will is emotionally cut off from his life choices (except for football or pubs). So everything that comes from him is inauthentic. He doesn’t even interact willingly with his own wife, who is also part of the life choice package that he was backed into. It’s exactly why he has no body of work to show for himself at this age–there is simply no enthusiasm for his work or his life.

Although, I do think he will be enthusiastic about the upcoming slimming down the monarchy meeting, and by slimming down Will will be going for the ‘doing less work, being seen less” version of the monarchy. I can just imagine the negative energy he exudes as he goes through the motions and the common folk, who twist themselves into pretzels to make one of these events happen, must feel significantly let down when it is over. I wonder if they all ask themselves “Did it seem like Wills didn’t want to be here?” If you look at his body language in the first moments of that cadet meeting from last week, it is so awful. He is standing there with an expression that reads impatience and “get on with it.” I do think Wills is going to try and get out of one or another aspect of his current life in the next few years … family man and working royal aren’t doing it for him. And once Will’s done blaming Harry for how miserable his life is, Will will want to have some of the same freedom that Harry has.

      • bamaborn says:

Been saying he’ll probably wait till Betty goes on, but, the situation appears to be getting untenable. And yes…he definitely wants some of the glamour (aka) Harry and Meghan has. Something has spooked Kate and Ma Midds.

      • IRMAVEP says:

Harper. Well spotted re Will’s body language at the air cadet meet-and-greet. He looked so socially awkward it was genuinely uncomfortable to watch him trying to go through the motions. William has one regular ‘tell’ which reveals his impatient ‘get on with it’ attitude. He compresses his lips, fills his cheeks with air, then blows. He was doing it in the group photo of Archie’s christening, and he’s been doing it repeatedly at events since. It is so blatant that I too feel sorry for the poor people who line up to be introduced to him or show him some aspect of their work. So disheartening. The Queen never looks terse or bored, nor do Charles or Camilla. Kate though has similar awkward moments – with her it’s fits of giggles, mouth open wide enough to catch insects in, and an obviously faux ‘interest’ in meeting someone. It really is cringe worth, and it’s not as if either of them are amateurs at this public relations game. They are in their late 30s. I hope William abdicates before he is imposed on us as king and takes his children with him.

      • swirlmamad says:

It was borderline astonishing how obviously their desire NOT to be there shone through. They were literally phoning it in for all the world to see…even though there is a faction who will put their blinders on and swear up, down, and sideways that they are so regal, willing, and ready to serve.

      • BayTampaBay says:

@swirlmamad – Wiglet and Baldy as like they do want to be there at every engagement they have attended which I have seen pictures of.

      • IRMAVEP says:

bamaborn. Completely agree. I believe there is panic at the palace and a logistical crisis and psychological building, as – on one hand William and Kate long for the charisma, sincerity and glamour so natural to Harry and Meghan – and on the other hand, they lack any interest in fulfilling their daily bread-and-butter duties of visiting institutions, military establishments and charities, or expressing interest in the ordinary people they meet-and-greet. Even the Bafta awards ceremonies elude their interest or attendance. International official tours – like the most recent trip to India – have been a disaster. What to do? Their PR team must be tearing out their hair, or resigning. But when you say ‘something has spooked Kate and Ma Midds.’ can you elaborate? I’m dying to find out!

  34. LittlePenguin says:

I really wish they would have added some music. Just so we could all be even more puzzled. My oldest is walking around singing that “Driver’s Licence” song, maybe that would have been a good pick? Or “Savage Love”?

    • Nyro says:

Their fans slapped them down when they used “Watermelon Sugar” in one of their videos. They’re in a box and can’t be interesting or cool even if they were capable or wanted to. So it’s been this awkward silent stuff ever since lol.

      • FicklePickle says:

I mean, it IS a guy singing about how much he loves pussy and/or performing oral sex on his female partners, so I can understand why THAT ONE of all songs would be inappropriate for official British Royal nonsense.

    • Lemons says:

There are plenty of royalty-free or no copyright songs on Youtube that can be used. They could probably even license 5-10 songs to be used in their videos. Instead, we get this.

  35. molly says:

I get what they were trying to do. It’s part ASMR, part reels editing, etc. I’ve seen various version of the video (done better) all over the place. It’s just very clearly unhip people trying to latch onto a hip social media trend.

  36. smee says:

Whoever set-up the camera to focus on his bald spot is an evil genius

    • teecee says:

HONESTLY! What a weird/diabolical image to put in the foreground.

    • IRMAVEP says:

smee. Smirk! Cracked up when I thought of the bald-head focus – it couldn’t be worse. Maybe Kate was wielding the hand-held video device/mobile phone. Wouldn’t put it past her.

  37. IRMAVEP says:

Attention! Prince William injured in serious paper-cut incident!

  38. Elizabeth says:

I don’t get why you’d send cookies on a Remembrance Day?

  39. Lemons says:

Are we sure it’s not Edward in this shot?

On another note, I think they want to try being as invisible as possible while saying that they are focusing on the issues. This is probably the directive given by the couple to the social media team and is why their recent videos are so awful.

  40. Jay says:

So, uh… when’s that crisis PR team gonna start? Soon?

This is a general observation, but most Australian and New Zealanders I have known take this day and the sacrifice it represents quite seriously. Filming yourself delivering six cookies and a signed generic note, then being thanked for it on camera doesn’t hit the mark.

I guess we should just be thankful they didn’t blare Men at Work’s “Land Down Under” as an accompaniment. So I guess they showed some restraint.

  41. Catherine says:

This along with the Easter egg assault just make me laugh and laugh and laugh. I remember how excited the RR’s and the trolls were when the Cambridge’s hired the Sussexes social media person. They all thought they were going to capture the Sussex magic. But SussexRoyal was a huge Sussex before they hired him. His job with them was not to create an image but to execute their vision. They no doubt had tons of input. And the focus was always the best way to communicate about whatever issue/cause/organization they were involved with. Since he started working for the Cambridge’s it’s been a lot of bells and whistles. Lots of ornamentation but very little substance. I remember when the RR’s and royal commentators/experts etc. criticized the video that Meghan put out for the Together cookbook. They said it wasn’t the Royal way, too Hollywood. A video that highlight the need, the cause and resulted in the book having enormous pre-orders. But this BS is acceptable. That guy must be miserable working for the Cambridge’s now. And why couldn’t he have attended at least one of the services on Anzac Day. Instead of Anne going to both. What happened to all that talk about them having to step up.

    • IRMAVEP says:

Catherine. Agree completely with your sentiments. Why couldn’t Will and Kate have attended the afternoon service at W A. Anne – despite having a reputation as a workhorse – must’ve been fuming to have had to carry the entire royal workload for Anzac Day on her own. I can see a gigantic log-jam of royal engagements building up in the future if all this official work falls on the ageing arms of Charles, Camilla, Anne, Edward [heaven help us!] and boring Sophie, plus antique Princess Alexandra. I’m longing to know what your reference to the Easter egg assault is. Care to elaborate?

      • Becks1 says:

@IRMAVEP – around Easter KP posted a video (in reverse) of a rolling pin hitting a really pretty candy easter egg (so the egg starts out in pieces and it goes backwards). It was just…..weird. And violent. what did the easter egg ever do to you William!?!?!?

      • IRMAVEP says:

Becks1 I remember now – thanks for the reminder. It had such a ‘disconnect’ from reality I felt it lacked meaning and promptly forgot it. But could it be symbolic of William’s self loathing? The destruction of a bald egg representing a bald man? The egg being endlessly destroyed by a rolling pin [domesticity? time?] only to be ‘restored”and fated to experience the destruction over and over again. A decade or two ago Wills was a handsome and rakish young prince with a head full of hair and the world at his feet. He’s now a prematurely ageing dad-dancer, wearing outdated jumpers and pants, or constricted by suits and ties required by protocol and his position, in an existential limbo awaiting the death of his grandmother and his father. The shattered/restored Easter egg symbolism is very Freudian if you ‘unpick’ the imagery, iMO. You are right. It is weird and unsettling.

  42. Carabella says:

That is so cheap! They couldn’t even cough up for a box?

  43. Shell says:

Those aren’t over cooked cookies.. those are ANZAC biscuits. They’re supposed to look like that. They taste really nice too. We bake them every year on anzac day in Australia.

  44. Lizzie says:

Maybe they should just get off social media and let bp report what is needed.

  45. Colleen says:

With the overhead shot of William’s bald spot, I’m not totally convinced that the person/people filming and editing these videos likes him.

  46. aquarius64 says:

This video is ridiculous. The note said “Catherine and I” but the envelope only had William’s cipher not the dual one of W and K. I didn’t understand what the cookies (biscuits) meant until people here explained. I’m sorry as future head of state Billy should have been at Westminster.

  47. TheOriginalMia says:

So freaking lazy. I mean the whole thing is just lazy. Why couldn’t the Lamebridges deliver those cookies themselves? And as someone said…why that little bag of cookies? Edible arrangements does a freaking better job for $50 than the rich af Cambridges.

  48. Saucy&Sassy says:

I haven’t seen the video, because I think you’ve all described it for me. You know what would have worked? How about William, yes William, explain why ANZAK Day started. The number of service members who were injured and died at Gallipoli for each country. Then explain that the Day now includes all wars, etc. How about sympathy for the loses and gratitude for their service and sacrifice. It doesn’t seem that hard and it would have really been personal.

The ANZAK Biscuits could have then been explained. I’m NOT an advertising or PR person at all, so maybe I’m wide of the mark. Just seems from reading the comments here that this is an important Day for remembrance for both Australia and New Zealand. W should have respected that.

  49. Original Penguin says:

He was getting dragged for this. The commentary was that Anne turns up to the memorial whilst William sends biscuits

  50. February-Pisces says:

    Deleted

  51. February-Pisces says:

Lol this is so cringe, I just don’t know what to say lol, I have second hand embarrassment. Sometimes I can’t believe these people are actual royalty, like ACTUAL ROYALTY! Can you imaging the queen mum making this video? Willie and keen don’t know how to modernise without making themselves look cheap.

  52. J ferber says:

Wow, he’s sitting next to a printer and is speaking on the phone! That counts as two more events! But why is kate suddenly catherine? Is their team trolling them? Because I’m 100 percent there for that.

    • swirlmamad says:

She’s been Catherine since they got married and Willie decided “Kate” was too tawdry sounding, apparently. So put-upon and snobbish.

    • Sofia says:

“Catherine” has been a thing for a while. But it’s never really caught on. People still refer to her as “Kate Middleton” (even the British media) even though she hasn’t been “Kate Middleton” (as a name) in just under 10 years now.

      • Duch says:

I’ve always thought that Wm pronounced her Catherine to counterweight a move by the RR towards Katie (or worse, Kaity). His mother was Diana or Di. So they have 2 names to choose from, neither of them Katie/Kaity.

    • notasugarhere says:

W&K both referred to her publicly as Kate for years, but they’ve also been pushing Catherine for awhile.

  53. MaryContrary says:

That was LAME. Holy cow, my 12 year old would have done a better job.

  54. Coco says:

Why not just put up a couple pictures of William and Kate on trips to Australia and New Zealand, saying the two countries have a special place in their hearts and they hope to be able to visit again soon? Or share the official palace biscuit recipe? Both options would be less work and far less bizarre.

It’s like Tom Cruz trying to make Katie Holmes “Catherine” during his creepy possession of her. That never became a thing either. Two weird men.

  56. EM says:

LOL – is this William’s attempt at an ASMR video?

  57. Emily_C says:

I was a public relations intern for a charity for a short time and I could do better than Will and Kate’s pr. I could have done better than this in elementary school, because I could do simple math. You need at least one cookie per person, but even that’s stingy, so let’s go with at least two depending on their size. Then pretty the boxes up with colors from the respective countries’ flags. This is what I would have come up with at 8 years old or so, off the top of my head. I’m sure the vast majority of kids would have thought of the cookie thing and other interesting ideas as well.

I’m starting to think there’s something very seriously wrong with Will besides the laziness, meanness, jealousy, etc. 6 cookies per embassy? The printer sitting like that, with paper ready to be strewn about the floor? I think the palace is desperate to hide more than an affair with an attractive aristocrat.

Wonder if the tabloids will pick this up, seems like they could spin some good headlines out of it.

I noticed this video only because I saw a few posts praising it and was curious. I watched and was confused. It was stranger than strange.

I clicked to the Twitter feed and….holy cow. Comment after comment saying thank you, how lovely, how wonderful and amazing that you recognized the day with such a touching gesture….Either we’re the only ones seeing how awful this is, or Bot City has taken over!

      • Victoria says:

No, we are seeing the reality of the situation. Racists will always protect other racists because if the house of cards that is white supremacy fails full stop, then so does the privilege they benefit from, and that goes from the so called blue bloods down to the little old lady who lives in a shoe. I absolutely believe boot lickers were all in those comments kissing ass because they would rather say the naked emperor is wear beautiful clothes then admit this is stupid as shit and is lip service at best.

        It’s disgusting to see.

Thank God this is one of the few places that gets and the creators of this site aren’t stupid.

@swirlmamad – yep, sometimes I lurk to see if the Twitter tide is turning. But until the Oprah interview, I myself wasn’t aware of the W and K reality, as I didn’t follow royal news. I didn’t actively dislike them. So I get why certain sections would be fawning.

  59. Eulalia says:

LOL You can see the reflection in the glass doors of the person delivering the biscuits to Australia House and it is NOT Baldimort. This is hilarious

  60. Likeyoucare says:

Willie doesn’t know that what he was trying to do is a joke.
    No one told him.
Maybe his staff were praising him for every shitty things that he do.
That man child lives in a bubble, he doesnt know anything but throwing
Tantrums when he didnt get what he wants.

  61. For someone who’s royalty one would expect an excellent material from the future king. The concept is bad and the production of the video is poorly executed.

  62. Lesley says:

My Grandfather lied about his age (he was 2 years too young) to go fight in WW1 for King and country (aka Great Britain). He told me very little of what he went through but it sent a cold chill down my spine when he said the English treated the Australian and New Zealand soldiers as “cannon fodder”.

For this service to another country’s war William sends 6 biscuits to each countries High Commission? He could have at least sent enough so there was one for each person working there. Token gesture which is not really appreciated, is this a sample of what is to come in the reign of King William?

    • Emily_C says:

He’d be following the tradition of English monarchs. The Commonwealth needs to ditch, and so do the rest of the “UK” countries.

  63. Nivz says:

I bet W has TMJ the way he clenches his jaw.

I only have one question to ask Duke of Cambridge-Why you did not stop the attacks on Meghan and then your brother if you really cared about them?

    • Cessily says:

It is as simple as that.. all the silence and deflecting just points to the obvious conclusions.
When the tabloids decide to turn on the Cambridge’s (and eventually they will) the two separate narratives will not do them any favors. I wonder who the tabloids will push public to support and which one will be crucified persistently. As much as I hate to see anyone bullied in the press, if the focus is on them hopefully they will leave the Sussex’s in peace and stay on the Isle.

  65. daddyissuesonpcp says:

I read the twitter thread comments below the video and became intrigued by the exact nature of the “cookies” delivered with the letters. Apparently these are no ordinary cookies– in fact, it is apparently not *legal* to market them as a cookie (or “biscuit”, if you prefer) per one Kiwi commenter:

“Not cookies. Strange as it may seem ANZAC biscuits are also protected by laws. They cannot be called cookies and have to follow the original recipe.”

The thread was full of people talking about how they just “baked fresh ANZAC biscuits to commemorate” and stuff like that. I’ve never heard of this. Thought someone might find it interesting.
