There’s always a lot of fan-fiction going around about so many celebrities. Stan-culture becomes ship-culture and people convince themselves that two actors are secretly dating or something very complicated is happening behind the scenes. Sometimes, that kind of gossip is just harmless fandom and sometimes it gets really toxic in a hurry. It was not until today that I realized that people believed that Brie Larson and Tessa Thompson are secretly in love with each other? They’re apparently friends in real life and they’ve been developing some secret project together, and the shippers are convinced that all of that amounts to “they’re in love with each other.”
I bring all of this up because Tessa Thompson is in Australia, working on Thor: Love and Thunder with director Taika Waititi. Taika, as we know, has been dating Rita Ora for a month or two. Rita is in Australia as a judge on their version of The Voice. Rita and Taika have been seen out together a few times. The paparazzi obviously know where to find Taika in Sydney, and it’s not like Taika and Rita have been hiding. So… the paparazzi got photos of Taika with his arms around Tessa and Rita. They were all hanging out somewhere, having fun and kissing. It looks like they’re a throuple and now people are like “omg Brie is going to be so mad.”

There are lots of photos, it wasn’t just, like, one moment when they were kidding around. Taika is hot, Tessa is hot, Rita is… um, Rita. For Rita, this is the most interesting she’s ever been. For Taika, this screams “messy midlife crisis.” For Tessa, this is hopefully just some fun and something she’s totally cool with. It’s possible that they were all just drunk and having fun and it’s nothing but the number of photos definitely makes it feel like it’s something!

Yes, I’d urge you guys to watch the video but don’t want to send you to Daily Mail. Anyway the video makes it clear it’s just people getting cuddly from some drug. They are in each other’s space but the kisses are very chaste and none on the lips. The video contains all the moments these pics are from. I guess it’s possible that these two degenerate s are trying to seduce Tessa but then there are other people on the couch with them during the cuddling and I don’t think that’s how you seduce a unicorn into a throuple.

Cava he’s the director and writer of the movie. He’s for sure in a boss position to Tessa and the other actors. That’s the only part of it that would give me pause, the power dynamic, but I don’t think this is anything more than a bunch of wasted people hanging out.
You would think Disney may not like their director and actors partying that much during an expensive film shoot, but they also probably know the movie will make huge bucks and don’t care.

Tessa’s contract is with Marvel. So is Taika’s. Neither works for the other. Kevin Feige is their boss. Taika might be directing the movie set but he can’t, say, fire Tessa.
@ Ana That’s not how movie sets work. The director is very much the boss. Taika doesn’t have the power to fire Chris Hemsworth, but he cast Tessa and he does have power over her on set and in the editing suite.

I have no idea what is happening with the 3 of them. However, Taika has definitely been in front of the camera. He was in the tv version of What We Do In The Shadows and he was a main character in JoJo Rabbit, just to name two. He also has an offbeat sense of humor. They very well may be on drugs, but it also would not surprise me if he saw the paps and did that on purpose to mess with them.
