Prince William ‘will feel sick to the pit of his stomach’ at the Sussexes’ Emmy nod

Prince William meets with Chiefs of the PSNI, Fire Service and Ambulance Service in Belfast

As we discussed, Oprah’s interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was nominated for an Emmy Award. It is still one of the most-watched television events of the year here in America, and CBS/Harpo Productions sold the interview internationally to great success as well. The interview was as big as Princess Diana’s Panorama interview. It was the “cultural reset.” It might not win the Emmy, but who knows. That nomination combined with the sweeping nominations for The Crown’s Season 4 have left the Windsors and the British tabloids in a state of shock. You mean the Americans actually believe that the Windsors are a bunch of inbred colonizers? You mean Harry & Meghan are getting tons of support in the colonies? Well, fiddlesticks! So, obviously, William is engorged with rage sick to his stomach.

Mr Lacrombe told OK! magazine: “William will feel sick to the pit of his stomach at Harry and Meghan’s Emmys nod. The interview was an attack on his family and his wife and is now being heralded as one of the entertainment moments of the year.”

The royal expert added that the nomination is “more bad news” for the Royal Family as the interview will be under the spotlight once again ahead of the Emmys on September 19.

Mr Larcombe said: “The Emmys nod is more bad news for the royals. It means that as awards gain momentum, once again Harry and Meghan’s attack on the institution will be repeated over and over again.”

[From The Daily Express]

The British media and royal commentators have repeated their own lies so many times that they honestly believe that the Oprah interview was “an attack on the Cambridges and Windsors,” as opposed to Harry and Meghan telling their stories and correcting the record after the Windsors lied about them and smeared them for years. I hope William is sick to his stomach! I hope he’s constipated with rage! I hope he’s farting in anger, Giuliani-style.

And of course, there’s another reason why William has wrathful diarrhea: because his sad-sack documentary was submitted for the Emmys and not nominated. He did a whole big documentary about how he was ready to be keen about the environment and no one cared or gave him any awards. Poor gassy Baldemort.

Awwwwwwww, poor Bill! He can choke on it.

    • UnionSnack says:

He has already chocked I guess. He also submitted his documentary (I didn’t even hear he had) smth about planet for Emmy. But was not short-listed. Yeah, poor Bills.

      • MMadison says:

William has been told all of his life he comes first, before Harry and before anyone other than The Queen. So of course he would submit his own Documentary. Because in Williams unrealistic mind the Emmy’s would chose him over Harry because that’s how it should be….William first…… ALL OF THE TIME

      • nina says:

@MMadison. The last few weeks reality has yanked him so hard, he should have whiplash by now.

    • Rice says:

Eh… He’ll get a BAFTA nom (and probably win) and H&M won’t so he’ll think he’s the best brother.

      • Wiglet Watcher says:

Doubtful. Even with his British FFK status and role As BAFTAs pres he is not well liked and they barely clapped for him and Kate when they eventually attended the annual event. Snubbing as they choose.

      • equality says:

Voting for BAFTA is apparently pretty complicated and done by people within the industry. It’s not a few people on a panel he can bribe or influence. Charles has done better documentaries and never won.

  2. Eleonor says:

    Oh! Le pauvre

  3. Amy Bee says:

Wiliam probably is engorged with rage over the Emmy nomination. I don’t think it will win but I’d love it if it did just to see the meltdown in the press and by the royalists online.

    • Pao says:

Oh there was definitely a meltdown online. And , so it appears, also in the right wing papers

    • HeyJude says:

From knowing some of the voters, I firmly believe the interview will win. The Emmy’s know a historical moment when they see it and eat that up with a spoon. Opinion in Hollywood is already greatly against the Windsors anyways, they’re fed up with the way they disparaged the industry related to H&M’s deals and Meghan coming from acting. So this is a natural FU pick to them. There’s not any title in their category quite as notable either.

(It also does not hurt that Oprah, Gayle King, and Tyler Perry are all involved in championing H&M and supremely influential with Emmy voters.)

      • Isabella says:

Constant complaints about “Hollywood values” via the press don’t help the Windsor’s popularity in the U.S. Will’s constant attacks against a woman (a mere sister-in-law) are seen as appalling. Especially because Meghan is mixed race. It’s bizarre that he can’t see that.

      • equality says:

It’s bizarre that none of the RF or their employees seem able to see beyond their own pettiness and agendas.

  4. Seraphina says:

I do not think think an Emmy nod would be due to it’s “entertainment” value (Harry and Meghan’s interview). IMO, it would be a nod because it is groundbreaking on so many levels. It touches on so many areas that we as a society need to improve upon: mental health and racism right off the bat. And labeling it as “entertainment” diminishes the interview.

And will Willy gets the runs or some tummy issues due to an Emmy nod, oh well. And an Emmy win would be icing on the cake.

    • Pao says:

The emmy really is more a nod to oprah and her production team than it is to what meghan and harry said. It simply means that oprah did a good job as an interviewer and harpo did a good job putting the doc together. Thats it

      • Seraphina says:

While I agree with your comments about Oprah and her team (which is to be understood at this point) we should not take away from Meghan and Harry’s part in it and what they have exposed and what they brought to life. Do not diminish the victims and what they have to say. This was a beautifully executed interview and both have equal parts to why is gets an Emmy nod.
        @Becks1 was more eloquent (below).

      • Pao says:

@seraphina i never disparaged what meghan and harry said. Im happy that they did the interview and yes im happy that they were as open as they were (tho you could tell that they were holding back) im simply pointing out that the content of the interview won’t really be a big consideration. Instead the jury will probably focus on the technique of interviewing and the way the doc was put together by harpo.

      • Eurydice says:

It’s not “more of a nod'” it’s the actual nod. The Emmy goes to the producer, not the host or those being interviewed. In this case, Oprah is Harpo, so she gets the nod. That’s why I would have preferred that TMYCS would have been nominated because Harry has producer credit. I don’t know if Oprah will win – the Emmy can be political. They might think that with The Crown there’s too much royalty, or they might think the interview is a great bookend to the Crown. Or they might think it’s time to give Oprah another award. A lot it depends on behind the scenes lobbying.

And Will knows it bullshit to call the interview “entertainment” – he submitted to a non-fiction category, too. He, like everyone else in those categories, hoped that their subject would inform the viewers. I hope his nausea reaches all the way down to his toenails,

      • Krista says:

        @Pao

Hit the nail on the head. I think that a lot of people are attributing to the fact that Harry and Meghan and what they said are the reason it was nominated.
It had entertainment value yes, but no matter what they would have said people would have watched.
It was the quality of the interview and production that pushed it from entertainment to another level entirely. They should be recognized for the quality of that interview.

Many documentaries are well produced and have good teams behind them. This interview was a cultural moment–and I suspect that will be rewarded.

    • Soupie says:

      @Seraphina
I’m going to admit that I wasn’t impressed with the Emmy nod, except for what you mentioned: the groundbreaking nature of it. The way that was edited was pretty good but since we don’t know the full details I wouldn’t say excellent. Oprah is a good interviewer and I do think that it went pretty well but I don’t think it should win.

That being said I’m really glad that the interview took place because it gave people a fuller picture of what’s going on – kind of like what’s happening with Britney now. The haters are going to continue to hate and will always find reasons why the interview was bad, but I’m personally very glad that they came forward with what they did. Who knows what else was in there but it was enough for me, that’s for sure.

And what about all the attacks on the that went on for years? That was perfectly acceptable?? Those creeps alwsys say the Sussexes were just supposed to suck it up and keep taking it. I despise all the journalists and others who Bang On criticizing, condemning, judging and gaslighting.

  5. CherHorowitz says:

This man and his wife are so abysmally and glaringly lacking in any sort of passion, enthusiasm, compassion, or warmth that I don’t think they will ever understand why his documentary won’t inspire anyone and why Harry and Meghan do. He thinks because he is is him, he should release a documentary he probably had little hand in making and everyone should pile on the awards. Nope – it’s boring when you can tell the perosn doesn’t actually care and is feigning interest (badly) throughout.

    • Escondista says:

This. I initially felt like Will and Kate were just reserved and hadn’t figured out what they were interested yet and that they’d never win over people like Harry or Diana or anybody with charm and more charisma.
But no, it’s that they just don’t care about other people.

      • Psyren says:

This. They have no interest in literally anything it seems. The environment and early childhood are just vague meaningless umbrella terms.

    • Christine says:

      100%

  6. Merricat says:

We knew karma was coming for him. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

    • Alexandria says:

Not this nomination. He hasn’t been held accountable yet. Probably that’s why he looks like that because he knows it’s coming.

  7. L84Tea says:

I’m sorry. It’s probably because I have had an awful week filled with bad family news, but the mental picture of William stomping around farting in rage has me in stitches. Thank you, Kaiser. I desperately needed that laugh today. 🙂

    • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

I hope things start to get better for you soon, L84Tea Hugs!🤗 💜

    • EliseM says:

After reading this line,” I hope William is sick to his stomach! I hope he’s constipated with rage! I hope he’s farting in anger, Giuliani-style.”, like you, I was crying with laughter. Its been a week, that is for sure, and this totally made Friday much more manageable.

    • swirlmamad says:

I’ve had a rough week myself and this brought a much-needed smile to my face as well. Here’s to things starting to look up all around!

    • AD says:

@L84Tea best wishes. Always light at the end of the tunnel.

    • I second your thoughts L84Tea, and I wish you strength to deal with whatever you’re living through with family. I’ve had a difficult week as well around the health of my pup and a family member. I so love to come here and read all the sharp, sassy zingers as well as the thoughtful comments. Thank you Kaiser —— you brought William’s trauma into perspective with a great laugh with your zinger: “I hope William is sick to his stomach! I hope he’s constipated with rage! I hope he’s farting in anger, Giuliani-style.” How they do go on as if the Sussexes’ continuing to breath is as bad as undergoing ‘The Spanish Inquisition’ when it’s really just a bunch of elitist whining.

    • Topaz says:

@L84Tea sending you a ton of positive energy and a big hug

    • MerlinsMom1018 says:

      L84Tea
I hope things begin to look up for you and that whatever you’re dealing with will pass soon. We got you.

    • SpankyB says:

Laughter is the best medicine and Dr. Kaiser delivered.

    • L84Tea says:

Wow, thank you to all of you. You’re all so sweet. My dear dad is very sick and just told me he has six months or less. Trying to wrap my head around that I’m 42 and I will have no parents. Tough times ahead but trying to be positive as can be. CB definitely is my happy place.

      • The Hench says:

L84Tea – hugely sorry to hear this. There are no words that can make something so painful better but I extend virtual hugs to you through the screen. When my mother died suddenly distraction did help a little. May the CB forum continue to provide your happy place and I’m sure all the Celebitches are right here for you as you go forward and if you wish to vent. xx

      • notasugarhere says:

I am so sorry to hear this, L84Tea.

      • Lorelei says:

@L84TEA I’m so sorry to hear this, and I hope that coming to CB each day continues to bring you some joy. You’re in my thoughts ❤️

      • Roo says:

I’m so sorry, and I am sending you big hugs, if that’s okay.

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

So, so very sorry L8. I hope the time you have together will build wonderful memories to cherish forever. Sadly, I know from personal experience, we are *always* our parent’s “child”, and no matter what age a parent leaves us, it’s always too soon. 😢 💔

As an extended CB “family” member, I’m sending love and hugs to you both. ❤️

      • Giddy says:

@L84TEA, I can’t tell you how sorry I am for what you are going through. Having lost both my parents I will tell you that you will be grateful in years to come that you were able to let your father know how very much you love him. One of the last things I told my father through my tears was “It’s been quite a party.” He smiled and agreed that it had been. I’ll miss him the rest of my life. I’m so sorry for your pain.

      • Nic919 says:

Virtual hugs to you @l84tea. I always appreciate your comments and will try to provide distraction and entertainment as needed.

      • LMR says:

I hope your dad can be made as comfortable as possible and flooded with love. Been through it and sending you my best.

      • swirlmamad says:

Big hugs to you. Wishing you strength, peace and that you make wonderful memories together to carry you through this difficult time.

    • Vavavoom says:

I think this photo is Kate trying to help him deal with those issues LOL

      https://www.celebitchy.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/BGUS_1996519_003.jpg

      • Lori says:

        Bahahahaha! It does!
The pic of himself in the phone reminds me of Rick Grimes talking to the ghost of Lori on the phone. Half expect the disconnected cord to be dangling beside his face.

    • Rice says:

So sorry to hear that @L84Tea. If it cheers you up, we got you. And Will is acting like an enraged plop.

  8. Miranda says:

This is some fantastic schadenfreude. Especially because the RF isn’t going to learn a goddamn thing from this whole ordeal, so you know they’ll keep entertaining us with oblivious, racist f–k-ups for years to come.

  9. Layla says:

Good! That’s exactly what we want!
He Was so high and mighty to show the world how super keen HE is to “help the environment” and thought he’d maybe get selected for an Emmy award that he’d be able to laud over his brother only to not even be selected.
I think that’s maybe why the doc wasn’t selected. Because even the judging panel realised halfway through that all it was doing was just informing more about Wilbur the donkey (thanks @msiam) and not the actual environment. No one cares about Wilbur, and now we now the Emmy awards don’t either! I just wish and hope “The Me you can’t see” series gets nominated for something because that would be amazing.
Oh and to add more salt to the wound and rub it in real hard, the Oprah interviews also been nominated for a TCA Award 😂

    • Chrissy (The Original) says:

Also, it’s well known now that he cares little about the environment, as he unashamedly flies around in his private helicopter at every opportunity. Optics matter and a gassy PWT is completely oblivious and so has no gravitas on the matter.

    • Eurydice says:

I can kind of envision him thinking, “I didn’t get an Emmy, so screw the environment.”

    • Harper says:

“Every now and then someone has to put their head above the parapet and say “I care about this.” I remember when I first saw the above trailer and heard TOB speaking like this and thought won’t someone stop this elitist clown from embarrassing himself? The narrative of the documentary sounds like William scolding the world that they needed to start caring about the environment now, or else! And to show the world that he meant business, he was going to come out of his castle with its parapets and walk amongst the children and row his boat amongst the dirty urban water canal. And borrow David Attenborough for status. Do you think the Emmy nominators even watched any of this video project (I refuse to call it a documentary), much less considered nominating it? No way.

  10. Nina says:

Poor Wills, he can’t seem to catch a break

  11. Lizzie says:

That’s right, don’t pass any opportunity to be a small person.

  12. Digital Unicorn says:

    Jelly haters gonna hate.

  13. Becks1 says:

It wasn’t entertainment. I know its hard for the RRs to tell the difference, but it was a legitimate interview, it was journalism, it reminded people of who precisely Oprah is- not just the woman who gives away cars or who has a magazine – but a really top notch interviewer.

Can I just say that still my favorite aspect of the interview is how Meghan was being so careful, she was wording things so delicately and precisely, and trying so hard to blame “the institution” without blaming the royals and then Harry came in and was like “yeah so my dad sucks, my brother is an ass, one of them is super racist but I’m not going to tell you which one, you have to guess, my family abandoned us, they’re trapped, they have to dance to the tabloids bidding, and I am NEVER GOING BACK!”

Anyway I’m sure William is sick to his stomach over that. The interview was actually perfectly timed in the context of the Crown – people watched that, saw how Diana was treated, and then Meghan and Harry were like “so actually nothing has changed.”

    • Merricat says:

      Beautifully put.

    • L84Tea says:

      Perfectly said!

    • Rapunzel says:

The category is “outstanding hosted non-fiction series or special”

This is definitely a nod to Oprah’s hosting and interviewing skills. And the general presentation. Not the subject matter or entertainment factor.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

Rapunzel, and the TCA (Television Critics Association) award nomination is in the “OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN NEWS AND INFORMATION” category. So, clearly no one but the pouty people in the UK think of it as entertainment.

    • Janey says:

I’m clapping your comment. well said.

    • Sofia says:

      Yup yup

    • Alexandria says:

      Beautiful Becks.

And yes it’s hard for the rats and these dumb royals to think.

    • Over it says:

      Spot on as always

    • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

Concisely put, Becks1. Succinct and to the exact point! 👏🏻👏🏻 👏🏻

    • nina says:

      +1

    • AD says:

@Becks 1 you had me in stitches with ““yeah so my dad sucks, my brother is an ass,”

      • Becks1 says:

LOL that’s really what it felt like though! Meghan was thinking about every word she said, emphasizing “the Firm” and “the institution” over and over again and Harry blows in and was like MY FAMILY IS THE WORST and there went Meghan’s careful wording, lol.

(the not funny part is that Meghan is the one who has gotten blamed for trashing the family when Harry was the one who really had no effs left to give in that interview.)

      • EveV says:

Me too @AD. I literally laughed my ass off at that part of the comment!
        Well put @Becks1, wonderfully said.

      • Feeshalori says:

Well put, Becks1. Meghan was tiptoeing around the minefield whereas Harry came in and blew it to smithereens.

    • Topaz says:

      +1

    • 👏🏼👏🏼🏆 Excellently said, Becks1. I so agree with your comment. Only the 🐀Rota and hypersensitive House Cambridge are able to take Meghan stating — for the record, in her own voice in front of millions of viewers — that “Kate is a nice person” and turn it into Meghan attacking Kate and the family. Not only twist Meghan’s words, but spin their attack on what she said into tons of worthless articles and media appearances for their own profit.

    • Maria says:

Yes to all of this. Added to this, the Emmy noms for Josh O’Connor and Emma Corin!!

    • Liz version 700 says:

Becks you nailed it as usual. Harry came in and named NAMES! Then hinted about the discussion over Archie’s skin tone. Whew. Meghan had been so careful

    • BothSidesNow says:

Well said Becks, as usual!! You know exactly how to put it together with the accurate narrative!! I agree that Meghan was extremely cautious as to what and how she answered and spoke. And in come Harry and he’s had enough of his family and their torrent of lies and smears!!

I am so glad that TOBB is sick to his stomach and that this tells him under no circumstances is he the better brother. He was and will always be a man with no character or compassion. A man who has nothing but anger and jealousy consuming his every waking moment. Face it TOBB, your brother is and always was the better man, hands down!!

    • Nic919 says:

A perfect encapsulation of the issues and why the rota will never understand that they cannot control how people outside of the UK perceive this interview so differently than the narrative they have tried to spin in the UK from day one.

    • Christine says:

So much this, all of it.

  14. Rapunzel says:

Tempest in a teapot (baby sized watering can?) from old rage machine Willyboy. Harry and Meghan were not actually nominated for an award. They didn’t get an Emmy nod– Oprah and her team did. If the interview wins, Harry and Meghan won’t get a statue. Now, if The Me You Can’t See got a nod, that would have been a real kick to the anger farts.

Lol…maybe next year Meghan’s Netflix animated series Pearl will win something. Wills might just explode in hate.

    • Becks1 says:

I’m also hoping for a nomination for the Invictus documentary. Can you imagine if two Archewell series are nominated for Emmys. William is going to explode.

I’m also holding out for the BAFTAs.

  15. aquarius64 says:

Serves the BRF right. They’re mad that America is sticking up for one of its own for the most part. They’re mad that Fox News is not the dominating force of media in the US because there are other networks that counter it. They’re mad their media minions have no Oprah level pull outside the UK. They’re mad that Squaddies and non Squaddies call them out on social media and bring receipts. They’re mad a lot of people don’t see them special. Stay mad Windsors.

    • Britt says:

Yep. They’re mad the crown is still successful, they’re mad that Using Piers Morgan, Max Foster, Megyn Kelly, Candice Owens etc to smear Meghan and Harry hasn’t made a dent in the states. I think the palace is realizing many things this time around. I think they’re realizing that no one truly cares and that all that blustering, threatening and abusing hasn’t really accomplished much at all.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

Britt, except that it does expose all of them as racist, sexist, xenophobic–well, just about everything. This is what they’ve shown the world. Now will they double down or pull up the drawbridge and do the work they’re supposed to be doing and keep quiet?

  16. Sofia says:

Yes cry! Cry harder baby! (It’s from a meme)

  17. J ferber says:

Good. I love William’s “work” picture where he’s holding the phone. I now realize the phone was merely a prop and he was talking to no one. “I don’t work, but I pretend to.” Amateur hour at the circus.

    • L84Tea says:

All the photos of Will and Kate “working” and talking on phones are pure spun gold to me. They are some the most hilarious photos of them ever.

      • nina says:

My favorite is the wrong facing folder drawer and blocked printer.

      • L84Tea says:

Yeah, the printer that was clearly wheeled in on the cheap particle-board office furniture that some flunky employee had to give up for an hour while they took pictures.

      • That blocked printer photo is one of my favs too, L84Tea. That and the one from the same ‘House Cambridge at Work’ Collection that shows Kate working hard at her ‘desk’ with the set of children’s books cleverly staged to display her research reference sources.

      • notasugarhere says:

Yes, Kate’s set of brand new ‘historic’ classics, set out on the console table as it if was a desk. Must be what she bought on that bookstore PR shopping trip with the kids just as London was being locked down.

  18. Over it says:

Kaiser, omg. You are killing me. I laughed so hard and still have a massive grin. Diarrhea Bill wanted people to forget it’s him. Too bad he has to try and degrade her to Robert Lacey. No Baldimort we ain’t ever ever going to forget why’s you and your family and the British media did to Harry, Meghan and Archie. So you can go ask for diarrhea medication now, because you will need it for years to come.

  19. Ania says:

Will is sick to his stomach because monarchy is not going anywhere (sadly), he is stuck and will have to keep showing his face to the people who resent him more and more. Lost of humiliating moment coming, like dead silence when he enters an event, celebs snubbing him to uncomfortable questions flying over during engagements. he made his bed and will have to lay in it.

    • Chrissy (The Original) says:

It’s like he put the last nail in the BRF’s coffin, and still he continues. Where are all the top notch PR people now?

      • Ania says:

I can only guess top notch pr doesn’t associate themselves with clients who don’t listen to them. PR is pretty easy in this case but reqiures clients to change their behavior and they don’t want to. So top notch can’t do something from nothing.

      • Couch potato says:

Good question Chrissy (The Original)! Where are those new pr experts who were suppose to start in May? Are they locked up in a dungeon at KP for telling the truth about how horrible the RF f#$% up?

  20. MangoAngelesque says:

Someone should tell him that in order to be considered for awards, you first have to at LEAST get someone to proofread the giant title of your production.

That’s not even an American-English vs standard English difference; it’s just *wrong.* Unless in his mind, the Earth truly is named after him. I can see the Queen Mother having convinced him of that during their kingmaking teas.

    • Merricat says:

I laughed so hard when I saw the title.

    • Eurydice says:

I love the photo of him that goes with the title – like he’s surveying his domain. “Mine, mine, all mine!!”

    • I didn’t catch the ‘title’ error until you pointed it out, MangoAngelesque. However, the joke may be on us. Maybe William truly does think he is ‘a planet for us all.’ His ego is certainly swollen enough to convince me. 🤯

    • Christine says:

      I’m dead!

  21. Tessa says:

Oprah was the one nominated. This story seems to be (deliberately) spun to make it seem that Harry and Meghan were the ones nominated.

Right. There was an idiot on Twitter saying H&M should turn down the award when it’s not theirs to refuse.

      • Rapunzel says:

Just wait until the Sussexes really get a nom. And attend. And win. And give an awesome speech.

The meltdown will reach boiling point.

    • Alexandria says:

Exactly. That’s why I said they can’t think or they refuse to.

    • Britt says:

They may not be nominated but the award symbolizes their Success in the states and the tabloids missing the leaks, pictures and success they used to have when they were in England. The photographer that took that iconic rain photo during their last engagements will be making money for decades to come. That’s rare. They gave their first interview to Oprah, something they’ve been wanting forever. Many reporters and journalists around the world know the power of this couple. Which is why Piers wants an interview so badly. The envy and jealously is real.

    • I agree Tessa. However, I’m sure we are in for endless 🐀Rota articles and media quotes on the ‘Hollywood’ Sussexes at the Emmys, what Meghan will wear, and what they will say in their acceptance speeches…..yada, yada, yada. This nomination is for Oprah and her production team and the excellent format and style of the interview. As to winning, Oprah is one nominee amongst several in that category. I’ll put good money down right now that the Sussexes will go NO WHERE NEAR the Emmy Ceremony. Oprah’s nomination is just another excuse for the 🐀🐀 to bash Meghan until the event. Then — after the event —- the 🐀🐀 can go on endlessly about the gaul of the ‘Ungrateful’ Sussexes in not attending spun based on whether Oprah wins or not.

      • Eurydice says:

I don’t think they’ll go to the ceremony. They didn’t produce it and they won’t be receiving an award. Sometimes a producer will invite the subjects of the documentaries, just as a thank you and to publicize the issue, but that’s not necessary with H&M.

But I’m certainly looking forward to the red carpet if/when they get nods for Pearl and Invictus.

  22. Consey says:

William is getting a taste of his own bull💩 medicine. Piers Morgan was nominated by the BAFTA! No one on that cesspool island said a damn thing. The DDOC are running amok. These brainless assholes are England’s future. William in my opinion has always been the unstable son. Harry was the whipping boy. They have always surpress Harry’s needs to do good work. That family doesn’t give 2 💩about anything or anybody. QE and William visited their subjects who were victims of the Grenfell towers. These glorified welfare recipients came with nothing and left with nothing. Yet a Yankee (who doesn’t get the British way of life) melanated, educated woman visited and came with a mindset to help by building a relationship. Meghan was hands on and wanted to explore how she could help the QUEENS subjects. Hence the Hubb Cookbook. That my dear was a WTF moment. These stupid jerk couldn’t find their way out of a brown paper bag. I have no sympathy for this jerks. They act as if the Winfrey interview was the root of the problem. Since 2016 these fools have bullied Meghan in front of the entire world. They constantly insult the Americans. They have their goons trying to infiltrate the Americans. William the chickens have come home to roost! Deal with it asshole!

    • Tessa says:

Yes, the insults started way back when Harry and Meghan were first seen together. A lot of self righteous outrage and even petitions sent around to “stop the wedding.” Yet, the same bots pretend that they only started disliking Meghan and Harry was because of how they “hurt” the royals through the Oprah interview. I notice the same old same old posts going on, and predicting “divorce” and Harry “will come to his senses and be a family with Kate and William and he was so close to them,” etc etc. There would have been no Oprah interview if the Royals had protected Meghan and fake stories had not been leaked about her and Kate did nothing to deny the stories.

      • Christine says:

The absolute worst is the people who want Harry to divorce and take the kids back to England. Good God, if you are seriously advocating for very young children to be ripped away from their mother, PLEASE take some time and do a deep dive on your soul.

I haven’t been able to look at TMZ and Blind Gossip in forever, so it’s not just the English, The comments section on anything related to Harry and Meghan is a gigantic group of unhinged pleas for Harry to leave Meghan and basically steal their children. It’s unbelievable.

    • equality says:

Exactly right. If anything should make somebody sick it’s Piers getting any sort of award.

    • Tamsin says:

      @Consey
So well put, Consey! You have expressed exactly the difference between Meghan’s (and Harry’s) “work” and that of the “royals.” It seems that the “impact” of the royals is simply “suppport” and to praise or draw attention to causes. Meghan, in her short time with the royals actually did impactful and results driven work that gave real help to people. Her impact on the Hub community, Smart Works, and Mayhew was measurable. Her vogue editorship had impact. She continues to support Camfed in practical ways. She and Harry did very practical things to help people during the first year of the pandemic on both sides of the pond. What did the Cambridges do? They clapped and expressed “massive thanks” . Even Sarah Ferguson and Eugenie offered more practical help. I find it a bit patronizing to be told that the royals are “proud of them” and nothing else. Harry, also through his two foundations, Sentebale and Invictus offers actual help. William and Kate do nothing in the way that the Sussexes do things and none of their work has any impact on anyone or anything so far. William said he wanted to be his own man, when asked if he would carry on like his father with the Duchy of Cornwall. Well, his father has certainly done impactful things. If he just carried on his father’s work, he would be doing well.

    • nina says:

PWT is getting a taste of how things work in the real world. On the Salty Isle no one is allowed to outshine the heir. Out here you better row your own boat. No freebies for mediocre work. And no taking credit for someone else’s work.

They would’ve had such a dynamic duo in H&M. But they couldn’t allow them to outshine the heir and now here we are. William trying to make it in the real world where he has to show his work and he efforts are meh.

    • notasugarhere says:

The Hubb Cookbook is another reason why it is clear William hates Meghan. He’s jealous of Harry, he’s angry about Meghan’s relationship and success with Hubb. Her ease at doing the job, being successful, and refusing NOT to work. He visited Grenfell once/twice, promised to help them. Did nothing. A few weeks after that visit, the Together Cookbook dropped. Not only did Meghan help produce something impactful, it made William (and Kate) look ridiculous so they tried to steal the Hubb money.

      • Lorelei says:

@Nota ITA. The cookbook is symbolic of everything William despises about Meghan. It showed, in one fell swoop, that she was creative, took initiative, had innovative ideas (especially compared to his wife, lol), and got things done quickly (and well), even when his staff was doing everything in their power to sabotage her. That cookbook launch was executed perfectly and everything about the entire project was top-notch. The book itself is beautiful, and will continue to generate funds in perpetuity.

Plus, it was clear that Meghan had actually connected with the Grenfell victims, and formed real relationships with them. Because Meghan never saw the victims as props to be used in a photo op to show how “caring” the BRF is, she saw them as real people who needed help, and she was in the position to be able to provide that help, so she did. It never would have occurred to William or Kate in a million years to do something like that; to actually follow up with something tangible after their one PR-driven visit. I’m sure William never even learned a single one of their names, and forgot about them entirely the moment he got in his Range Rover to go home. He couldn’t conceive of wanting to do more, and everything about Meghan and her approach to duchessing probably baffled him. The fact that he was being shown up by a biracial woman was added fuel to the fire.

William knew at that moment that he and Kate were in deep trouble. And because of his ego, I think he was angry and resentful that he was even being put in the position of feeling this way. (By a Black woman! A gauche American! A divorcee! An actress! The horror.)

The fact that she was able to pull off a project of that scale flawlessly, and unknown to everyone until the day she decided to unveil it, scared him sh!tless because he knew at that moment exactly what he was up against. He knew that he and Kate were going to have to start working harder (or give the appearance of working harder) to at least TRY and compete, but he I think he knew deep down that Meghan was simply better than the Cambridges were, and no matter what they did, they would still come up short.

He’s human, so I can’t even fault him for being jealous as soon as he saw Meghan in action — I’m sure most people would be (I certainly would!). It was the way he handled it that showed what trash he is. He never had to like Meghan on a personal level, but he could have seen what an asset she was to the monarchy and exploited that. And because his brother loved her so much, he needed to treat her with kindness and respect.
He was too insecure and racist, though, so instead he decided to make her life a living hell. History will not treat William kindly!

  23. Rapunzel says:

“Mummy, my tummy hurts! The mean nasty Yankees gave Harry attention and not me, and now I’m gassy! Bring me some cheesy toast so I can fart out my incandescent rage before exploding”‘– Wills, probably

  24. Lindy says:

At a certain point, Billy-boy, when you grow up, you realize that spending mental energy and getting in a twist about the actions of others doesn’t do anything for you, and so you learn that, even if you feel upset about something, you focus on your own sh!t and move along, because it doesn’t really affect you. Guess you’re not actually a grown-up, though, are you?

  25. lanne says:

It’s not enough to be rich beyond measure. It’s not enough to be a FF king. It’s not enough to have a pretty wide, beautiful children, and palaces to live in. None of it matters to Will-di Amin unless he can flex his power over Harry and Meghan. What a sad, sad, SHABBY little man.

  26. ABritGuest says:

Would be funny if more people watch it again before or after the emmys lol. So much of what they said has been confirmed in real time eg we’ve seen the royal family challenge & even have stories removed. all the ridiculous “we aren’t racist” photo ops & the interviews the likes of the have done since the interview confirms they could have done something about Meghan’s negative press but didn’t. Harry talked about lack of support & family not speaking out on racism towards his family which was shown most recently by their silence ( not even via ‘sources’) when Lili was getting racist online abuse that was widely reported at 2 days old whereas they deigned to speak on racist abuse towards England’s footballers.

We also know that the palace was aware of Meghan’s deteriorating mental health as HR had leaked it to Valentino Low. The ridiculous claims of staff being left with PSTD after Meghan’s ‘ bullying’ before the interview suggest that the firm have been perpetuating falsehoods. Even a video of Elizabeth sharing a blanket with Meghan mysteriously materialised after the interview

The palace’s POC ban for office workers & poor diversity figures support notion it wasn’t a great place for a minority. If recent reports are to be believed they were/are thinking of changing rules so no Prince title for Archie but reports have linked it to slimmed down monarchy reasons. Finally nobody has even briefed via ‘sources’ that the skin tone conversation didn’t happen. Instead they are pinning it on Anne.

Anyway I can’t imagine that Will is that bothered about the Emmy nom. I think Diana’s panorama interview won awards. They palace’s focus will just be on discrediting the interview (even more) over the years.

    • GuestWho says:

The whole Valentine Low situation is SO incredibly enraging. First, how dare the palace “HR” leak sensitive and personal mental health information to anyone let alone the press (how many people did they tell?); and second, the fact that he continued to go after her knowing she was in such a fragile place is absolutely low and inhumane. Did they actually have orders from the palace to keep hitting out at her because all the smears and lies were “working” to drive her either out of H’s life or, heaven forbid, out of her own life? There is nothing about this entire situation that pisses me off more. Absolutely depraved behavior. Pure evil.

I’d bet the institution is more upset about the dozens of Crown nominations than the interview. You’re probably right in that they will just keep playing the “17 lies” (despite, as you say, the obvious perpetuation of falsehoods by the palace(s)) and the bully narrative over and over again through the years.

  27. Britt says:

I’m sure the royals are not happy but this reads like the RR’s and media who are jealous of Oprah and want a slice of the Sussex success train are pissed because they’re not benefiting anymore. They’re not making the money and winning scoops and awards. They don’t have access or the money Oprah has. They’re sick that Lilli and Archie will be protected and safe and they won’t make a dime off them. They’re sick because all that abuse, blackmailing and bullying amounted to nothing. They’re sick to their stomach because they’re stuck with dull royals. I would be sick too if I had to get up and write keen, future Queen and king, rage, incandescent every other day. Imagine trying to get Sophie and Edward on the forefront. I’d be sick to my stomach too.

  28. OriginalLala says:

“Wrathful diarrhea” !!! Kaiser you’re making me snort out my tea!!

  29. rawiya says:

“Prince William ‘will feel sick to the pit of his stomach’ at the Sussexes’ Emmy nod” I KNOOOWWWWW!!! I’m so f’n petty that I want them to win just so he can CHOKE on the jealousy. He’s big mad. I love it. LOVE IT.

  30. AD says:

@L84Tea best wishes. Always light at the end of the tunnel.

  31. harla says:

This is one of those lovely instances where everyone is getting exactly what they deserve! And I’m loving it.

  32. Mina_Esq says:

Well, all the salty people were accusing Meghan of “acting” in the interview, so they should be relieved that she didnt get the best actress nod 🙂

  33. Amy Too says:

Where can I watch the interview again? I watched it live through the paramount plus channel on my roku TV, but then I went to look for it the next day and it wasn’t on there again. It played as a rerun a few more times on my local channels, but I haven’t actually seen a place to watch it on demand.

    • Krystina says:

I’ve been trying to find a way to watch it too.
Fingers crossed someone knows where it can be found, lol

    • Feeshalori says:

I mentioned down post that if you can download the CBS app to a device, you can watch the interview.

  34. MerlinsMom1018 says:

    Kaiser…
    “farting in anger, Giuliani-style”
    😆😆😆😆
I hereby nominate Kaiser for Snark of the Century award.
    Can that be a thing?

  35. GuestWho says:

If his brother and SIL’s successes – and truth telling – are going to make him feel sick to his tummy, he has a tough couple of decades ahead.

  36. Abby says:

“ I hope William is sick to his stomach! I hope he’s constipated with rage! I hope he’s farting in anger, Giuliani-style.”

Dying with laughter. Thank you for this.

  37. taris says:

i understand why the interview is nominated, as kaiser pointed out: it’s totally a cultural marker that, although meghan and harry meant to be personal testimony, has now also become really politically pertinent to the times we’re in, and in historical context too.

i don’t believe, though, that meghan and harry themselves are nominated – because they didn’t produce the thing and also didn’t get paid. there seems to be a lot of confusion about that, on here and on social media.
as well, the category they’re nominated in is not strictly ‘entertainment’, as one can see from the other stuff that’s nominated and from the stuff that’s been nominated in previous years.

    what else? oh, yeah …
i wish the sussex squadies over on twitterwould cool it with the fuss over awards and nominations. i’m sure h+m don’t do this for accolades.

  38. Lizzie says:

I’m shocked Elegant Prince William was not gracious. Said no one ever.

  39. Krystina says:

I’m so mad I never got a chance to watch the interview 🙁

  40. Feeshalori says:

For those looking to watch the Oprah interview, you can download the CBS app online. I can get it on my iPad.

  41. nina says:

Watched that video clip out of curiosity. What in the hell was that. His plummy posh accent, is so off putting. Why didn’t they get a professional narrator to do it. At least a professional would know how to make it interesting.
And again, like Trump only I, me myself alone can do this. This is nothing but a promo video for him and Keen. No wonder it was not nominated. Nobody other than the Salty Isle wants to see him doing the handshake thing.
Another thing the Imax movie Blue Planet did it better in 1990.

  42. Sunnyvale says:

“I hope he’s constipated with rage” 😂oh I hope so too. I’m thrilled with the idea that he’s sulking in a corner as is keen who’s crying over a pile of ragedy sisterwife dresses & coat dresses🤣 I doubt they’re going to win just like how Meghan was nominated for her suits role n never won

  43. A says:

Honestly, the outrage from William about any of this is like…not understandable in the slightest. It’s fine if you put out one or two stories about how it’s hard to watch the details of your personal life get discussed on such a public platform, that you wish Harry and Meghan had maybe talked to them ahead of time, or just kept their feelings bottled up and repressed or whatever.

It’s another thing entirely to just keep going on and on about just how endlessly disastrous the whole interview was for you personally and how you’re just soooo angry about it, for months now. I feel like this is the sort of thing that the public, even the ones sympathetic to the Cambs, are going to start to feel a little annoyed about. It’s fine if you’re angry and if you express your anger. It’s another thing entirely if you’re going to keep making a whole song and a dance about it at every opportunity.

I honestly think that William is going to be beating a dead horse with this interview sh-t before long. Literally no one gives as much of a sh-t as William thinks they should. At a certain point, people are going to be asking him when he’s going to start moving the f-ck on from all of this. Knowing the British press, it’s not going to be very long, if literally the only story William has to offer them is this sh-t. Again.

  44. kelleybelle says:

Mr. Lacrombe, whoever he is, is wrong. Harry did not attack his family OR William’s wife. What a bunch of garbage, honest to God. Since when is exposing the truth an “attack.” Ugh.

  45. Jaded says:

Frailty, thy name is William. Stolen from Hamlet. Seriously, all this tilting at media windmills and jealousy is going to come back and bite him on his flatulent arse big time but he’s too stupid and stubborn to realize it. He’s ruined his relationship with Harry, his marriage is crumbling, he probably has a very strained relationship with his father who seems to be stepping further and further away from him as he sneers and snarls himself into a caricature of a tantrum-throwing, self-aggrandizing man-baby. Boy Michelle Obama said it best…”When they go low we go high”. Harry and Meghan are flying so high now they can barely see the little pipsqueak.

  46. Melly says:

Rising Phoenix has also been nominated by the Emmy’s!!!

  47. Slippers4 life says:

He’s “sick to his stomach” because the interview is forcing him to face traumatic truths in his family. Harry is a cycle breaker scapegoat and William is a golden child. There is a misconception with golden children that they have it better, but really they are the most deeply infected with toxicity in traumatic family systems and their very sense of self worth is tied to that. At least the scapegoat gets to escape and gets to learn about reality and likely engage in therapy to heal themselves and heal future generations. I can’t imagine how this is exacerbated in a family with such privilege and power and how dangerous that is. I too feel amazed and am so relieved and happy that H and M got out with their lives. Families are as sick as the secrets they keep. William is feeling his own family’s toxicity and he has no skills to manage that and likely believes the risks of getting help outweigh the benefits deep down so he projects that pain and sickness onto Harry and Meghan in the form of rage and surrounds himself with sycophants that reinforce avoiding any self reflection or awareness. Overall, he needs therapy. I don’t feel sorry for him. I do know he has a huge influence on culture and the public especially in England and I have deep fears for how this toxicity can bleed out into society and the danger of that. William going to therapy and healing himself so that he is able to be accountable for his behaviour will do a lot of good.

  48. SenseOfTheAbsurd says:

William must be absolutely foaming at the mouth over this. Probably screaming abuse at unfortunate servants and kicking holes in the walls.

  49. Marivic says:

Harry and Meghan really have the Midas touch. Sorry Will and Kate. Eat your heart outs

  50. 2cents says:

The Emmy nomination for Oprah’s interview is similar to BBC Newsnight reporter Emily Maitlis’ work. She has been named network presenter of the year at the Royal Television Society Awards in 2020, for her interview with the Duke of York.

Emily quizzed Prince Andrew at Buckingham Palace in November 2019 over his relationship with the sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The judges of the RTS called the interview historic.

The broadcast also won interview and scoop of the year, while Newsnight won daily news programme of the year.

Emily was praised by friend and foe for her professionalism.

Not one royal rota reporter claimed that the Andrew interview was an attack on the royal family. That is why royal reporter Lacrombe’s statement is misplaced. This is about Oprah who has done an excellent job with this H&M interview. And yes, this interview is also historic. Oprah deserves an Emmy for this quality piece!

  51. Roo says:

PWT is an ass, but I watched the trailer of his video and it seems to have been beautifully filmed (at least from my layperson perspective). I’m sorry that the technical artists were stuck with him as narrator.
