People are still talking about Paul Rudd and his restaurant photo with Dan Levy from last week. Again, I agree he looks good. It’s just – we have this discussion every time Paul gets photographed, so I guess I’m not surprised by it anymore. It’s like being amazed by the Grand Canyon’s beauty, I suppose. You know it’s incredible, you just forget how incredible until you are faced with it again. Anyway, many people have theories about why Paul remains ageless. The most popular is that he is a vampire. I think both his captured reflection and visibility during daylight hours can dispel those rumors. The Picture of Paul Rudd is a viable option. Maybe it’s kept in the attic of his candy shop and Jeffrey Dean Morgan is his Mr. Hubbard. But Asma Khan, the chef and owner of Darjeeling Express who posted the now famous photo, has a very different explanation for Paul’s eternal youth: inner beauty. When asked about their interaction, Asma said Paul’s good looks are a result of being such a good person.
The secret to Paul Rudd’s eternally youthful look isn’t a skincare routine — it’s kindness.
Restaurant owner Asma Khan opened up about meeting Rudd and Dan Levy at her London eatery, Darjeeling Express, and revealed her opinion on why the “Ant-Man” star, 52, never seems to age.
“He just looks so happy. I think the reason why he looks so young is because he’s a good man,” Khan told Insider Tuesday. “Both his kids were there both times; he’s a very family man. I think he’s a man at peace, and that shows.”
Khan praised the “Clueless” actor for being “unbelievably humble and human and kind” despite being “a big film star.”
“He is the kind of person that you want to be a good guy. He’s more than that,” she gushed. “He’s compassionate and humble.”
The “Chef’s Table” star also shared that Rudd took the time to pose for photos with the restaurant’s staff and even FaceTimed with an employee who had flown to India to care for her father, who contracted COVID-19.
“I thought that was just the most beautiful thing he did,” Khan shared. “He talked to her in an unhurried way.”
I didn’t realize that Asma was a Chef’s Table star, no wonder Paul and Dan ate there. I get so hungry every time I write about this story. As far as her theory, if being a good person keeps you attractive, that would explain a lot about how poorly I’ve aged. Kidding! It’s a lovely compliment to give someone and based on her account, it sounds like one Paul earned. Think about how many times he must be interrupted during a meal with his family and friends. To graciously accommodate those requests each time and even FaceTime with someone who couldn’t be there, it speaks volumes about who Paul is. That’s nice to hear. I’m glad good things are happening for him. Honestly, I think one of the best compliments I could ever receive is to have someone call me “a woman at peace.”
Paul Rudd is 52. Dan Levy is 37. You have to wonder about how all this talk about how amazing Paul looks makes Dan feel when he’s 15 years younger.

Paul Rudd is goals AF, I would love to look like this 20 years from now. I adore him, he is lovely and unproblematic 😁
I LOVE MIKE HANNIGAN! PAUL RUDD IS EVERYTHING❤️❤️❤️
Imagine for a minute what would happen if a restaurant owner made this claim about Jlo…or any woman around Rudd’s age.
That would be a nice thing, wouldn’t it? To say a woman looks young because she is a beautiful person?
Yes, it really would be.
Lots of people say it about Meghan! I remember there being tons of comparisons to Kate and snark about how Kate isn’t aging well because she’s a terrible person. I don’t necessarily agree with that last part, but Meghan is definitely aging gorgeously. (Not that it matters!)
It really would be. My cynical side thought, “It’s because he doesn’t have kids!” Then I Googled “Paul Rudd”, and he has one more child than my one. He’s just a really happy guy, and I hope nothing ever changes him.
I’m sure it wasn’t the intent, but it suggests that if you look older it must be because you’re a bad person? Surely not…
that would be a nice theory in the world where Jared Leto doesn’t exist.
Lol
Am I the only one really distracted by food in this picture? It looks so good. (I have not had breakfast yet either lol.)
Anyway I do think Paul Rudd looks good, I don’t think he’s as ageless as some insist but I do think he looks a solid 10 years younger than 52.
“You get the face you deserve.” Is always said in my family. Being kind and taking care of yourself. I believe there’s a lot of truth there. The hate people hold in can always find a way to show on the outside.
^^ This. All you have to do is look at Kate (and William) to see that plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures can’t fix a face powered by negativity.
He has good hair. That’s something I’ve noticed.
But Dan Levy has the most beautiful skin I have ever seen on a man and most women. I am constantly distracted by his skin when I watch Schitt’s Creek. His little twisty smile on that show always makes me wonder if he’s breaking character because he’s amused or if it’s really part of the character but either way it’s adorable! I feel like we’ll be having this conversation about Dan in 15 years too.
I love David Rose’s twisty smile and I really love your theory that it’s Dan Levy’s twisty smile sneaking in.
Yeah, Dan Levy looks just fine if we’re going to compare. He’s a good guy, too.
It is very possible that he gets some “help” to stay so young looking, but it never speculated on because he’s a man.
My husband is a former college athlete (basketball) and while I must note his bias—he is 6’’3”—he swears that shorter men age better than taller men if they keep their weight and fitness in check. Meaning, if Paul Rudd gained 60 pounds we wouldn’t be raving about his youthfulness. I think his perspective is more from a joints/flexibility athleticism point of view, but as a non-athlete tall-ish person I have no perspective. LOL
It’s lovely to comment about what a good man Paul Rudd is, and I’ve never heard anything about him that would suggest differently. But I’m not comfortable tying someone’s appearance to their goodness. Even if it’s said completely as a compliment, the implication is that those that are less attractive, or who don’t retain their youth, are less good.
(I know, I probably shouldn’t take it so seriously)
I totally agree. How young/attractive a person looks has nothing to do with what kind of person they are on the inside. It’s wrong to reinforce that ridiculous stereotype.
Agree with you on this @sa
RE being at peace – I have an aunt and uncle who are very at peace and grateful for their lives, and it just rubs off on everyone around them. They have been through a lot of hardship and their lives are not easy – I hope to someday cultivate their attitude.
I love them both…that is all. 🙂
It’s a lovely thing to say. I do believe that goodness and kindness will always make someone appear more attractive. Whether or not that stops actual aging or just perception is another discussion. But it’s a nice thought, regardless.
Roald Dahl, The Twits: “If a person has ugly thoughts, it begins to show on the face. And when that person has ugly thoughts every day, every week, every year, the face gets uglier and uglier until you can hardly bear to look at it.
A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts it will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.”
I want to marry your comment, Lila. Roald Dahl had it right, it’s not about attractiveness, it’s about something inside, that shines through.
Actually what she says is common Asian knowledge. Who a person is shows on their face, especially after age 40 (unless they have had plastic surgery and fillers). As we age, who we are on the inside shows more and more.
He does have the genuinely smiling, happy, calm, glowy expression thing going on. It doesn’t seem like that much of a stretch to me to consider that he’s both kind and at peace and barely aging.
This just reinforces the halo/horn effect, where people want to believe pretty people are good.
Not saying Rudd isn’t awesome, just he doesn’t look good because of that. Dudes had judicious and well done work.
Bad men look good, too. That’s how they cause all the trouble they do.
The food looks amazing at this restaurant. Paul Rudd looks really good for the same reasons women in his business look good at that same age. Good living and nutrition, lots of exercise, great skincare, a good colorist and Botox and other top range non-surgical cosmetic treatments. He’s handsome and charming but of course he works to maintain his looks. The thing is people will ask a Kate Bekinsale and call BS when she denies getting work done, while no one asks men like Rudd these questions and just wonder where he’s found this wondrous elixir of youth.
Dan Levy looks like he’s cosplaying the character his dad played in Father of the Bride part2 lol
I’ve met Paul Rudd a couple of times. He’s always been really nice, so I’m not surprised he has that reputation.
