Here are some photos of Jennifer Lopez and her daughter Emme at the Jennifer Klein Day of Indulgence party over the weekend. J.Lo got all dressed up in her best matching trousers/crop-top/jacket combo. Note J.Lo’s necklace too: that’s the piece that Ben Affleck gave her for her birthday. It’s a little bit heavy for daily wear, but I like that she’s starting to wear it when she’s out and about in LA. Apparently, the “Day of Indulgence” is nothing more than a massive gifting suite for A-listers, and Jennifer and Emme picked out some stuff for Seraphina and Violet Affleck:
Jennifer Lopez has been enjoying some blended family time with beau Ben Affleck. The two-time Grammy Award nominee, 52, attended an event with her 13-year-old daughter Emme at producer Jennifer Klein’s house on Sunday where Lopez was spotted picking up some jewelry for Affleck’s daughters.
“When she stopped by the Made by Mary jewelry station, she and Emme picked out several ‘birth flower necklaces,’ including two for Ben’s daughters,” a guest tells PEOPLE, noting that Lopez said she planned to gift them to Violet, 15½, and Seraphina, 12½, on Sunday night at Affleck’s 49th birthday gathering.
She co-parents Emme and her twin brother Max, 13, with ex-husband Marc Anthony, 52. Affleck shares his two daughters and son Samuel, 9, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, 49.
Lopez was also accompanied by close friend and Hustlers producer Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas for Klein’s annual “Day of Indulgence.” The event was attended by Diane Warren and Laverne Cox, who raved about how “beautiful” Lopez looked in her recent vacation photos with Affleck. “J.Lo had a huge smile on her face at that,” the party guest adds.
I wonder if Ben wanted to keep it super-low-key with just a family dinner/party, and I wonder if this was possibly the first time Ben, J.Lo and all of their kids were together. Maybe Jennifer Garner too? I don’t know. J.Garner has been on my mind with the whole Bennifer Redux, but so far, she hasn’t spilled all to People or Us Weekly about what she really thinks. Maybe she’s fine with it. As for J.Lo and Emme picking out necklaces for Violet and Seraphina… I think it’s cute and sweet? I looked up the Made By Mary necklaces and it’s not like those would be gratuitous gifts for teenagers. Most of the “birth month” necklaces retail for between $30-50 and they’re offered in rose gold, yellow gold or silver. Kind of perfect for Seraphina and Violet. It’s also cute that J.Lo and Emme knew Violet and Seraphina’s birth months off the top of their heads.

Emme seems nice to me, like someone you’d want to have as a best friend at that age. I have absolutely no idea why I think this. I could see her picking out necklaces for Ben’s daughters.

I’m getting major flashbacks to how I looked when I was 13 (though I was nowhere near this effortlessly nonchalant.) I had the same kind of almost-wild hair, big glasses, wore oversized clothes…ah, to rewind 30 years and be that age again, lol.

Who knows if this is even true? I do know this Made by Mary person is very Shrewd in that this tidbit got me to look up her website (and I know I’m not the only one). I didn’t know what the heck a birth flower was. Yes it’s pushy and I wonder why Benny Medina hasn’t told us what her gift to Ben was yet (it was his birthday after all). The conspicuous consumption! Remember his pap ride down the street in his new motorcycle last year? Looks like Ana erased it from her IG.
Benny Medina put it out there, so they want us to believe it’s true. But you are right, who knows if it even is. Ben has 2 films in September that he will be away for. The Flash in London and the Robert Rodriguez film in TX. September should be interesting. I don’t think we’ll be seeing him at the MET Gala like everyone wants. I don’t think he’ll have time.
And don’t worry, I’m sure by the weekend Benny will let us know what JL gifted Ben. And just how the family party went lol

@Lena, I went to the website, too! I notice that she sells a lot of multi-personalized necklaces; eg, with initial pendants for all your kids. It’s an okay gesture if JLo gets Ben’s daughters something that’s personalized just for them, but for gosh sake I hope she doesn’t gift them with something like, “Here’s a necklace with all our initials (birth flowers, whatever)! We’re just one big happy family! (Minus your mother, of course.)” Way too soon to foist that nonsense on them.
I read this and was like OH. This might be the first real PR misstep that JLo has made. I think Jennifer Garner has probably been monitoring this fairly closely to make sure that her kids don’t get swept up into this media circus. If she puts her foot down with Ben, JLo is done. I was wondering if JLo was going to make a bold move soon and this is it. We will see how it plays out.
It’s not going come for awhile but I can’t wait for the engagement. I think Jennifer Garner is a smart woman and she knows it’s better to remain quiet on Bennifer 2.0. Her good girl rep will stay intact and she ensures that her children are protected.
I agree with you, completely. Jennifer Garner has been through it with Ben, married and divorced. Anyone thinking she is at home in the fetal position while all of this plays out is clearly not a Jennifer Garner fan.
This is JL’s way of insuring that she gets to see both of Ben’s daughters. She will insist on giving them to his daughters in person. Although, she was papped with Seraphina, she has as far as the public knows, not been seen with Ben’s oldest, Violet. The pic of Violet not wanting to get out the SUV was so obvious that she does not want to be papped. In 2 years, she will be an adult ( wow time fliesi) & she can make her own decisions. Violet seems to be highly intelligent from the way Ben has talked about her in interviews…

Their oldest daughter has been away in Paris & Jen & Voilet were papped in Paris together.
Ben also left his yacht trip to be with his daughter. Sorry, but I think it is interesting that JL was not celebrating Ben’s b- day with his daughters & was instead papped & posing at Jennifer Klein’s indulgence party with Emme.
I agree CarolNR if they celebrated together we would have heard about it. That’s just the way they roll.

Violet wasn’t refusing to get out of Ben’s car. In the video she can be seen putting on her shoes while chatting with Ben and then getting out.
Violet was photographed arriving at JLo’s house with Ben, Ben’s mother and Samuel at the start of the summer. It seems like she then spent a month in Paris.
I felt like the reason was she was worried about getting out of it in her dress and paps shooting her and just trying to make sure nothing will show. For a teenager, that would be mortifying and probably didn’t want to get herself out of a high SUV in front of them. Poor kid.
Looking at the pictures Emme is asking for help. Looks like she’s saying to her mom, if you’re going to be the teenager, I’ll be the granny, lol. Pictures are hilarious 😆😂. ❤️ Her, 😝.

I love the daughter! When I was 13 I was into vintage. The trends didn’t call for feminine or quirky, but that’s what I wanted. I would never have had the guts to dye my hair, though.
I don’t remember seeing Emme dressing like this when JLo was with Arod, IMO I believe she’s rebelling because she lost the two girls she grew to looked on as sisters, IMO. JLo was with Arod and the girls 3-4 years… I hope they remain friends.

Happy or not about the relationship, Jgar knows she cannot say a bad word about Jlo because her hive will be after her. Ben having a birthday with his kids without jlo is probably her doing. Jen must be disappointed she cant put in everybody’s face that she’s getting along with ben’s kids but this is not jgar style and jgar will not put up with anyone having her kids as PR props. Ben chose his family for his bd and they will say they celebrated his bd at the same time as jlo on that yatch or just had a simple dinner together at a later date because they’re so down to earth lol
Jennifer has so much better options than bad mouthing a thirsty singer. She can kick Ben in the visitation, any which way she wants. So far she is playing nice but if her kids are adversely affected, she has the winning hand and will play it.

That’s what m sensing too. It’s def attacks with a certain under tone and things to frame J.Lo one way and as undesirable and Garner (when she’s brought up) as this mamá bear that needs to protect her kids from ‘man eater’ or ‘seductive’ Lopez who wants to lure Ben astray or use her kids and is somehow not maternal herself. Not everyone but some ppl some times. It’s thinly veiled as well.
She deserves a chance to get a long with Ben’s kids . She loves him and he loves her. They even congratulated each other when their children were born. It doesn’t mean their trying to replace their other parents.
The Garner kids were very nice/open to Ana and hopefully Garner won’t feel intimidated at Jennifer Lopez being kind or getting close to her kids. Albeit Lopez had a previous relationship w/ Ben and it was right before her. But hopefully she’s past it. And I hope people become more aware of the undertones of the comments out there. It really is like what Ben said back to Vanity Fair, all the in 2003, and that’s sad. I’m pulling for them actually!

@J Ferber it’s not really a gift suite like at awards show. It was often covered in InStyle magazine (not sure if they still do). But it’s like a gift lounge meets spa day but I think (and I’m not sure) an opportunity for vendors.
Ms. Klein gives these designers, brands, and vendors a chance to get out there. Im sure it is a lot of freebies but I think the guest mostly network, socialize, ‘indulge’ (mani, pedis, drinks, snacks) and chit chat. But grim there these vendors might get clients or their name out there. But it’s not just grabbing free stuff per say.
