Lil Nas X is an icon. He needs to be protected at all costs. He is so brave.

  2. Tiffany says:

Nas is a genius on the social media front and it amazes me still that people think they can come for him and win.

    • goofpuff says:

Agreed. This marketing is genius! (and pretty brave of him too)

      • KA says:

I love this so much. Society tends to celebrate people for certain milestones… like weddings and new babies. After that… crickets. I love that he is unapologetically using that fixation to focus on an accomplishment worth celebrating. Yes, having babies and getting married is exciting. But work accomplishments and other achievements can also be worthy of fanfare. We should normalize those celebrations and be just as excited for someone who has achieved that.

    • Otaku fairy says:

      Agreed.

      ++

  3. Jannie says:

He’s the best thing ever happened since 2016

  4. jferber says:

Unfortunately, he’s being placed on certain people’s lists. His fearlessness, beauty and creativity are really wonderful. Full-time security forever!

  5. Robyn says:

Just when I think I can’t love him more he says “Hold my baby”. Yaaaassssss.

  6. cassandra says:

I LOVE that People went along with this.

    • DeeSea says:

Seriously! I am reconsidering my opinion of People. At the very least, I’ll for sure pick up a copy of this issue. I adore Lil Nas X and everyone who supports him!

  7. Izzy says:

I don’t even know much of his music, but I really love him.

    • Ladyem says:

Izzy, check out Old Town Road – it was the most popular song of the summer in 2019 and was a HUGE crossover hit. People who enjoy all different kinds of music love that song

  8. Nicole says:

I’m not going to lie, these pictures makes me uncomfortable. BUT….I am glad that he has the confidence to push the limits and make people uncomfortable. Being exposed to outside our own thoughts and experiences allows for people to grow, myself included.

  9. Kkat says:

I love him so much 😍 I’m so proud of him

  10. CE says:

This is hilarious! I love this dude

  11. Skittlebrau says:

I’m an old white lady and I listen to mostly old white lady music but heavens, I love this kid. I want everything good in the world for him.

  12. outoftheshadows says:

lil Nas X is BAE. look at all these celebitchies lining up to protect him at all costs!

  13. Delphine says:

Seriously I think Lil Nas X is a genius artist. He’s bold, takes huge risks, and knows exactly how to execute his vision. His PR game is on point. He knows what will garner the most attention and get under certain people’s skin. And he’s got the talent to back up the hype.

  14. YAS! says:

Lil Nas X is the perfect example of YAS! to the person and meh to the music. I don’t care for his music at all, but I wish him nothing but success.

Keep making white straight people mad, Nas! The LGBT community is with you!

  15. Kaykay says:

    Made me giggle

  16. Annabel says:

He’s wonderful! And also to be honest it bothers me when people (especially men) compare creating artistic projects to giving birth. I’ve published a number of books. I’ve also given birth to a baby. In only one of those experiences did I spend nine months thinking about life and death and risk my life to bring a new entity into the world.

    • ennie says:

In this case he for sure is maybe even risking his life for being bold and unapologetic. There are conservative extremists in the rise in many parts of the world right now.

      • goofpuff says:

@ennie I agree. He is taking huge risks being true to himself and putting a big target on himself from the ultra conservatives right now.

@Annabel I don’t think we should start policing the word “pregnant” especially when it’s being used in its proper context.

    • Kkat says:

This is like the gay marriage argument, just because two guys get married it doesn’t make my marriage any less valid.

He is using the word pregnant correctly here.
You can be pregnant with a baby, pregnant with life, a pregnant pause, pregnant with expectations, ect.
I’ve given birth to two kids, him being funny about his album takes literally nothing away from my experience.

Frankly it’s weird to even think that someone using a word would in anyway invalidate or take meaning away from my birth experience.
But then I’m not homophobic so….

      • Rmcgrudiva says:

        Beautifully put.

      • Amy says:

Except he is literally wearing a fake pregnancy belly, so he is literally comparing it to being pregnant with a baby.

      • Joanna says:

It is kind of insulting to compare giving birth to an album to actual childbirth. I don’t find that homophobic. Making music is nowhere near as physically or mentally hard as giving birth

      • Bellah says:

In this case, I believe it’s being used as a metaphor for creation. Many artists spend significant time developing and bringing their creative vision to “life” so to speak. And view this process as a labor of love.

    • A reader says:

      I agree with you.

  17. ME says:

Lil Nas X is hilarious. He has a great sense of humor. Lucky are those that know him in real life.

  18. MangoAngelesque says:

I know a lot of people here hate Justin Theroux, but dude rescues dogs and openly loves all over pitbulls and I just can’t hate on him…

    • Wiglet Watcher says:

All my dogs are rescues and I volunteer in my free time with shelters. I can still be a jerk or inconsiderate for someone else.

  19. Justjj says:

He’s a treasure, a once in a lifetime artist and personality, and a breath of fresh air. Love him and his music!

  20. AnneSurely says:

Eh, this is the wrong week for any cis man to try me about pregnant bodies. Pregnancy is a life threatening condition in the U.S. even before this whole Texas mess. Anyone who is theoretically able to get pregnant would understand that conflating creating an artistic project to pregnancy would be inappropriate in these times.
