Sarah Hyland from The Modern Family is no Nicki Minaj. Sarah has been advocating for vaccinations and sharing her vaccination journey. Sarah received her first shot back in March on Saint Patty’s Day. She posted a picture to Instagram to commemorate the milestone. Sarah got vaccinated as soon as she was able because she has had two kidney transplants and is on immunosuppressant drugs, putting her more at risk. Hyland is part of a portion of Americans who are now eligible for a third vaccine dose as an immunocompromised person. The actress has a chronic kidney condition called kidney dysplasia that makes her more susceptible to severe COVID-19 illness, and has required two kidney transplants.
The Wedding Year star got her first vaccine dose back in March — on St. Patrick’s Day — and celebrated with an Instagram post and photos of her band-aid.
“The luck of the Irish prevailed and HALLELUJAH! I AM FINALLY VACCINATED!!!!!” she wrote. “As a person with comorbidities and on immunosuppressants for life, I am so grateful to receive this vaccine.”
I now follow Sarah Hyland on TikTok and it is all Celebitchy’s fault. I have loved Sarah in every show or movie I have seen her in. But, I didn’t know how fun and cool she is and I fell into her TikTok rabbit hole. I love how Sarah is being a mature advocate for people getting vaccinated. Especially now that we have so many idiots and celebrities spreading disinformation. I also like how Sarah showed how SHE got vaccinated as well. She is doing a public service. I am sad that Sarah is dealing with a chronic health condition. That must be frightening during a pandemic. I hope Sarah continues to fight disinformation by sharing her journey and I hope she stays well. In the meantime, I am going to go watch her TikTok videos and some episodes of Modern Family.

She is amazing. You would never know that she struggles with a serious condition based on her public persona. She is always fun, intelligent and determined. Glad she is trying to help fight the stupidity.

Sarah is a kidney transplant patient, so she has a 1 in 3 chance of dying if she gets the virus. I really admire her for growing up with difficult health conditions and still being a successful person. Seems like it would be really hard to be a working actor in Hollywood with a serious illness. And I admire her even more for being a vaccine advocate and a voice for immunosuppressed people during this tough time.
On a lighter note, she looks stunning in that red gown.

I can’t believe that celebrities feel the need to promote vaccination, what has the world come to, but good for her.
@ Sof, I know!! Why are we having to rely on celebrities making a case to spread the need for everyone to become vaccinated and to under that science is real. We certainly have become a country of selfishness, stupidity and utter disregard for the well being of everyone. I have begun to hate that society in America is an absolutely disgusting place to live. I cringe every day when I read the news that we have destroyed our healthcare workers, placed our teachers into preventable harms way and that we have people working tremendously hard in the corners of the country to excuse these attitudes. There are churches/pastors who are handing out documents to everyone that wants to use the religious exemption for getting the vaccine!! These pastors should be doing what’s right for the country, not what their personal opinion against the vaccination warrants. I also don’t think that a religious exemption should be applied in regards to the coronavirus vaccination. There is absolutely NO reason why religion plays into this situation.
