The oldies but goodies are finding new life. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito are reprising their roles in the Twins sequel, Triplets. Eddie Murphy reprised his role in the Coming to America 2 sequel earlier this year. And Cindy Crawford is modeling in a show again. Cindy will be strutting on the Savage X Fenty runway for Fenty’s Victoria’s Secret Angel-style runway show. Cindy posted a sneak peek to one of her outfits on her Instagram, “teasing” her involvement in the show. Below are a few more details via People:
Crawford, 55, teased the appearance on Instagram posting a clip of herself strutting down what appears to be an outdoor runway. PEOPLE also obtained an exclusive first look at the outfit we can expect to see the iconic supermodel wear in the show: a plunging jewel-toned slip gown with a sexy slit and matching metallic teal eyeshadow.
As always, Rihanna recruited a star-studded lineup of models, musicians and more all representing a diverse group of backgrounds, body types and ages for the Savage X Fenty Vol. 3 fashion show, premiering on Amazon Prime Video worldwide on Sept. 24.
This year, viewers can expect to see performances by Nas, Daddy Yankee, BIA, Jazmine Sullivan, Ricky Martin, Normani and Jade Novah during the Savage X Fenty Vol. 3 fashion show. Plus, there will be appearances from more celebs including Adriana Lima, Alek Wek, Behati Prinsloo, Emily Ratajkowski, Gigi Hadid, Irina Shayk, Precious Lee, Troye Sivan and more.
According to a press release, the Savage X Fenty Show that Crawford (and plenty of others) will walk in combines “fashion, dance, music, and iconic architecture.” It showcases new designs from the size-inclusive lingerie brand through “subtle-yet-impactful scenic elements, lighting, and filming techniques.”
I am so looking forward to this show. When I read the line up, I levitated. First of all I am a child of the 80s and 90s and besides Naomi Campbell and a few other notables, Cindy Crawford was definitely one of the “it” models of those decades. I know that her daughter Kaia has stepped into her mother’s shoes and is a successful model, but I haven’t seen Cindy that much. Cindy recently did a recreation of her Pepsi commercial art for charity, but I rarely see her modeling. I am stoked that Rihanna tapped Cindy for the show. Rihanna is literally building an empirs. Cindy looks amazing and I can’t wait to see what she’ll be wearing. I am also looking forward to seeing Alek Wek in this show as well who is also an oldie but goodie from the 90s. I gotta say, having Nas and Daddy Yankee performing at the Fenty show is chef’s kiss. This show is going to be lit.
Yup it was Naomi, Kate,Claudia, Linda and Cindy. They were THEE supermodels.
Dont forget Christy. She, Linda and Naomi were the Big Three.
Linda is in the news today and it’s a heart breaking story. Go to her instagram.
I just saw this Cora!! So so awful!!
And helena christensen.
Also, that odd pose with the hands messing the hair up is really cringe.
Helena Christiansen in the “Wicked Game” video was EVERYTHING. The most beautiful, sexy, heartbreaking woman ever, I 100% wanted to be her when I grew up. Sadly, it was not to be. 😂
Agree about the hands in hair pose, it looks so contrived. But Cindy was IT as a supermodel back in the day, a true original. Just like the other big names, Naomi, Linda, Claudia, Christy. The “Freedom 90” video!! I’m going to stop now, I can go on all day…
They have an article from Harpers talking about her show. I think her show will be a smash hit!! Rihanna knows no bounds! Yes!!!!
Life doesn’t end at mid 30s/40s, more fashion companies need to hire people from all ages.
It’s really creepy how they insist on hiring 14 y.o. I remember there used to be a tv show about a scouting agency in the only episode I watched they forced a 13 year old girl to pose topless with the “well, don’t do it, but there’s thousands of girls who’d do it”. It was awful, the girl was really stressed and crying.
I miss the old MTV House of Style, hosted by Cindy Crawford. I would watch the heck out of that if it was on somewhere
It would be super if all the supermodels of the 80’s walked in Rihanna’s show. I know people would love it.
I always found Cindy a bit.., I don’t know, Sears catalog basic. She never seemed to have the capacity to transform herself to inhabit different characters the way Linda, Christie and Kate did.
There were editorials of the latter three in which they managed to be both familiar and yet unrecognizable as themselves. To me, the true supermodels were chameleons – taking on a persona to reflect the clothes, styling, editorial etc. and able to transcend their own beauty. Cindy, Claudia and even Helena whom I also thought was amazing were never able to do this.
