Over the years, we’ve learned that Jessica Biel is an anti-vaxxer who spouts very strange anti-vaccine talking points a lot these days. That is part of the reason – I think – why Biel has not been in the news that much in recent years. She’s off somewhere, raising her children, and whenever anyone goes to interview her, she starts talking about why vaccine skepticism is good and “natural immunity” and what have you. After she shut down her terrible restaurant Au Fudge, she started a side-hustle business: wellness for children. It’s as inane as you’d think. Anyway, this whole time, I imagined that Biel was mostly based out of LA. She’s not. She and Justin Timberlake are selling their LA home because they’re Montana mountain people now:
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are ready to say goodbye to Southern California and make Big Sky country their permanent home. The couple are selling their Hollywood Hills mansion in Los Angeles for $35 million, the Wall Street Journal reports. The listing is being handled by Justin Paul Huchel and Drew Fenton of Hilton & Hyland.
A source tells PEOPLE that the sale is a result of Timberlake, 40, and Biel, 39, spending less time in Los Angeles and more time at their home in Montana.
“They’re rarely in L.A. and are happy to live in Montana,” the source says. “They also still have a place on the East Coast.”
According to the Wall Street Journal, the 10-acre property is situated in a cul-de-sac and showcases a 13,000 square-foot Spanish-style mansion with seven bedrooms, a screening room and a gym, in addition to a guest house, tennis court and massive pool.
Timberlake purchased the property — portions of which previously belonged to 1930s and ’40s actor Errol Flynn — in 2002, per the Wall Street Journal, and purchased surrounding land from Helen Hunt. Timberlake and Biel share sons Silas, 6, and Phineas, whom they welcomed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The family has spent much of the pandemic at their Montana house.
Do you think they’re Covid-vaccinated? I doubt Jessica is, but Justin might be. I think that’s why they’ve spent the past two years in Montana – they’re anti-vaxxers and they don’t want to be around other people. How long before we’re referring to this Montana home as a “compound”? I jest! It sounds like they have tons of space and people leave them alone and that’s why they like it there. So is Jessica’s dumb wellness-for-kids company based in Montana?

Five bucks that Justin gets itchy out there for attention in two years time
Annaloo, my thought was that there are fewer opportunities to cheat in the mountains, and when he’s gone for employment purposes, whatever he’s up to isn’t right in her face. And if it does go public, she’s not in the same town as the people who are talking about it.
I was thinking the same. Trying to rein in the wandering peen.
Oh good point. This is totally it.
Does anyone else hate it when celebrities make a big deal about living normally in a mostly rural state, only to build insane mansions that raise the taxes for everyone else? Jackson hole used to be beautiful until it got totally invaded. It sounds like big sky is next, or maybe white fish. My problem isn’t the celebrities, I get not wanting to live in the LA scene. But then they take over these beautiful towns with huge McMansions, when normal people are already struggling to afford a house.
Yes. Celebrities and other rich people ruin the small, rural communities they move into, at bare minimum because they drive up home prices so much that locals can’t afford to live there.
This has happened to my home town and the surrounding small towns.
Preach! I live in Jackson and it is impossible for locals to live here. Rent is astronomical ($1750 for a studio is now considered “affordable”) and forget about buying a house for less than $1.5M+, and anything that does come on the market is snatched up sight unseen by someone paying all cash over-asking. Restaurants are limiting hours because they can’t find staff. Teachers, nurses, firemen, etc all have to live over a mountain pass in Idaho or down a canyon in another county. Meanwhile so many of the houses in this valley stand empty 80% of the year, while their owners claim to “live in Jackson” for the tax benefits of being a Wyoming resident. The Covid population boom has made an already difficult housing situation impossible.
Hi Guest! I used to live in JH up until two years ago. My husband and I bought in Victor but the commute killed us so we finally threw in the towel. We love JH and used to be ski instructors but the amount of time we were working/commuting to try to afford it was stupid. Even Victor is getting ridiculous.
What bugs me is how whenever a viable solution comes up for housing between the tax evaders/conservationists/and people clinging to the past nothing concretely changes.
Good luck in Jackson! Maybe I’ll bump into you some time when we are next out skiing. Spicy Margs at the Moose?
Ugh, I’m so sorry! Are they living in driggs? That drive is probably awful in the winter.
@Kiera so many of my friends are trying to make that move and it’s so cost prohibitive now. Even Victor and Driggs are priced out. Always in for spicy margs at the Moose though! Almost makes it worth it…
@Erica they’re in Victor/Driggs or Alpine/Star Valley. But even those markets are getting over-priced which is insane. Even the bedroom communities are getting out of reach of locals…
@Guest yes! Man I kiss those margs and Nick Wilson’s! My husband and I were instructors at the mountain and always loved our after work shifties haha.
Man that drive sucks. I don’t know why people pretend it doesn’t. I did it for two years and after almost getting hit by a skier triggered avalanche in my car while 5 months pregnant I knew I couldn’t keep doing it.
We loved to Kennebunk, ME two years ago and it was such a good move. I love JH and miss some things but there were a lot of benefits to moving.
It happens every time. Those with money move somewhere else because they like the pace of the lifestyle and then so many of them move there that it chases all the locals out. It happened at Aspen long ago and now it happens over and over again elsewhere.
As for these two celebs, sounds like they’re moving into comfortable wing nut territory for them both.
Even Driggs is insanely expensive now. We live nearby and bought property there a few years ago. Lucky we did when we did because no way could we afford it now. It really sucks. I have friends who are localism coeur dalene, having been saving for years, and now will never be able to afford a home because wealthy people have taken over there. So frustrating
It’s pretty fitting actually. I’m gonna say that the tax laws are probably more favorable and the fact that it’s mostly Republican although not quite anti government suits them both. We have a millionaires tax here in CA. If Bruce and Demi are any examples, once the kids are grown they will emerge back into a major metropolitan environment again.
Keeping a low profile after those pesky cheating rumors. Or photos actually.
Justin’s career has been petering out the past 7 years. He’s no longer current or relevant. He’s moved into legacy act territory. He could probably live a very comfortable existence in Montana on his royalties and licensing his old music. Do a Vegas residency when he wants a cash and attention boost.
That’s if COVID doesn’t get him.
Vegas residencies are for ‘old’ performers ‘has beens’ according to justin. He wont have the self awareness to see he’s not hot shit anymore
Eh I’m fully vaccinated and pro science but at this point in my life I’d move to a rural ranch if I could. Raise dogs and vegetables.
Me too. I saw this headline and thought, “I want to sell my house and move to a fancy ranch in Montana.” (fancy because I don’t want to live on a working ranch, lol. I’ll have a nice garden and stuff like that but that’s it.)
Then I saw the comments about how its driving up housing in the local areas and I feel guilty. I mean not that guilty bc I’m not selling my 35 million dollar CA estate to buy an equally expensive Montana estate, but I would like a small Montana estate. lol.
IKR? I’m not looking to live the hard life of a rancher, but I also don’t need a multi-million dollar estate. Can’t a girl just rescue some animals, grow some veggies, and raise a few chickens while enjoying stunning mountain views? You know, with central heating and modern amenities.
there’s an entire community both online and via a magazine called “Mary Jane’s Farm” run by a n amazing multi-hyphenate called…Mary Jane! she’s got to be 70? and she inspires farm girls to connect all over the world. the editorial quality has improved but there’s something so old fashioned and sweet about everything she does. I love it and hoard old issues.
but make no mistake, MJ is a mogul- she has licensing deals, affiliates, her publishing arm, tourism and an entire mostly organic line of easy cook mostly dried food great for busy people and campers/hikers.
if you need some inspiration :)))
Justin doesn’t care where he lives as long as he has access to his mistress, aka a giant stash of blow.
That’s a new rumor. I hadn’t heard that he was a coke head. It would explain a lot actually.
look at his eyes in just about every photo. BUG EYED.
I also didn’t hear the rumor that he was one, but I made my own assumptions based on pics of him over the last few years.
honestly shocked they’ve stayed married for so long.
I’m not they seem a lot like Ben and Jennifer G marriage only messier. He cheats and she ok with it as long as he keeps it on the down low and plays happy family man. When he get outed cheating by the media then she goes on a public shaming spree and he good for awhile.
I guess just like Ben and Jennifer G they won’t divorce until he wants out of the marriage and doesn’t care about his image or sleeps with the nanny and is caught by the media.
So am I. She isn’t much in the brains department and he’s not much either. She is trying to limit his ability to cheat as you all have pointed out. She will stay with him until the end or until he tires of her limiting his access to do what he wants. As for what people like them do the the surrounding communities, they should be ashamed of themselves! It’s bad enough that people have to look at them but what they are doing to the housing market is disgusting.
Both their careers seem to be tanking so I think they’re clinging to each other for relevancy. The move to Montana may well be the tipping point though, we all know what a famewhore he is. My guess is he’ll get ants in his pants in a few years and start sampling the local talent.
Anti-vaxxer Jessica probably thinks if they move out to no man land then Justin won’t have the option to cheat on her like in LA.
I love how these celebrities are so concerned about a vaccine but but have no issues injecting all kinds of fillers into their faces and bodies. Do they not realize that stuff all breaks down somewhere are we don’t know exactly what the effects are long term (Botox has only been around 20 years or so and the other fillers are even newer). It’s interesting how selective people are with what they are ok with and not on with injecting into themselves.
They’ll argue that Botox is natural while ignoring the fact that it comes with its own risks and is literally poison.
This exactly. They will eat fast food, drink, take supplements (they are not well examined and controlled like medicinal products at all), have all cosmetic procedures but yeah, afraid of vaccine.
Also, lots of drugs used for chemotherapy are also natural (cisplatin etc), I love it when people think natural=safe. Botox is a deadly toxin if you ingest it with spoiled meat.
They are likely secretly vaxxed but ~pro choice~
A lot of celebrities only care about themselves. They know that if the roles, partnerships, and concert ticket sales dry up, so does their career. They care about the bottom line, nothing more. To avoid alienating their fans and potential business partners, they emphasize personal choice.
Yup… it’s currently hip to take on the label of being a social justice warrior, so they just adopt whatever is currently “in” and fool their fans that they actually care. But as you say, they only care about themselves and the bottom line. Marketing and advertising uses the same old tactics, over and again.
I will never understand how either of these people are considered attractive.
Are we just going to forget that a few years ago they lived in Nashville? His album where he tried to be a country singer tanked. So that’s forgotten? I only remember because I was surprised they had a house and were living there at the time. Now they are pretending to be from Montana and the East Coast? LOL. Dilettantes.
Well he is from Tennessee and she is from Colorado
I wish I could have been a professional beard, too. Just not with him. He annoys me too much.
