Christina Alguilera’s latest album is a departure from the pop genre and will feature jazz-inspired songs with an authentic feel. Alguilera says her “Back to Basics” album, which is due out in June, has a “20s and 30s vibe.” Called one of the most anticipated albums of the year, Aguilera’s description suggests it won’t dissapoint:
She told America’s Rolling Stone magazine: “The album has a throwback style using horn samples so it sounds gritty and old. But we’ve been able to splice it into something that people can still dance to in the clubs.”
We detailed earlier how Christina chose rap producer DJ Premiere to produce five tracks for her album. It sounds like Christina’s newest release will be a commercial and critical success.
