After he walked off the set, he threw an even bigger tantrum about how maybe he doesn’t even want to be on GMB anymore. ITV took him at his word and let him go. He spent months trying to get his job back to no avail. Then came Rupert Murdoch, who created TalkTV – a newsy network for and by large, loud, sweaty, fascist meatballs. Piers was supposed to be the showcase talent of TalkTV’s evening programming. The ratings have been dismissal – at times, only a few thousand people are watching Piers. For some of TalkTV’s programs, there are zero viewers. Rename it FlopTV! Anyway, Piers has been back on the airwaves for about six weeks. And now he’s “taking a break.”
Piers Morgan is taking a six-week break from his struggling TalkTV show Piers Morgan: Uncensored. The British TV presenter and author, who has been called a “c***” by one of his guests, mocked for interviewing a Taliban spokesperson, and had an explosive interview with former President Donald Trump, has a viewership that is dwindling.
A report earlier this month that Rupert Murdoch’s TalkTV has been rated as having “zero viewers” during certain points during primetime broadcasts. Morgan’s show’s figures from Wednesday (18 May) showed that his audience was only 24,000, which isn’t that much for evening television.
As a result of the announcement of Morgan’s break, some people have taken to social media to speculate that someone would have to step in for him. Media Guido wrote: “Understand @piersmorgan is taking a six-week break from his show, no news as to who will stand in for him with his 32,000 viewers.”
Another referenced Andrew Neil, the Scottish journalist, broadcaster and chairman of The Spectator who left GB News because of differences in the direction of the channel, added: “Andrew Neil took a break from GB News and never came back.”
This story is funny in itself, but then Piers made it so much more hilarious when he tried to get snippy about his “break.” He’s apparently coming to America to hang out with serial killers… and he’ll be gone for ten weeks? What kind of bullsh-t job is this? Piers shows up to work for six weeks, acts like a big, screamy, sweaty ham and then peaces out for ten weeks for some kind of side job? The internet people are right, he’s either been fired already or he will be soon. I love it when terrible things happen to terrible people.

I think Harry loves his Grandma to bits but i think he definitely laid out a few conditions beyond his familys security. I think Piers has tried moving to America before, right? It didn’t go well for him. There’s no way this particular Meghan troll would leave town voluntarily with the Sussexes on their way, but I’m happy he won’t be around to spew his bile.
When Larry King retired from his nightly talk show on CNN — can’t remember exactly when, but it was decades ago — Piers was brought in as his replacement. I remember CNN making a huge deal of it when they announced it and we’re promoting it, like it was such a coup to “get” Piers Morgan to take the job. IDK how long it lasted, but ratings tanked, and he pretty swiftly went back to the UK.
I was about to say something like, “in all fairness, he wasn’t this deranged back then,” — but then I remembered the phone hacking scandal, which I *think* (?) happened before he stepped in for Larry King. Shame on CNN for hiring him after he was behind such an unbelievably disgusting, criminal scheme.
TalkTV is a disaster and a pretty sure will soon be off the air – NO ONE watches it.

There was simply no way Piss Morgan could succeed with a show going it as a solo host.
I mentioned this when there was initially talk of his getting a show, but his views are mostly centre or centre left, with mostly his racism and aggression towards Meghan and other WOC (Osaka & Biles) being MAGA and BM tabloid style right wing.
Those disparate views he vomits out from across the spectrum would be too much for any single large demographic to choose to follow (except for those looking for pure entertainment or enlightenment which I’m guessing he doesn’t provide) as most of us prefer an echo chamber or bubble of news and commentary which tends to echo our own world views.
So unless he goes full MAGA, he will continue failing to attract any significant numbers as those peeps with actual values and decency have no interest in his hyped-up, deliberately provocative and sensationalist views.
I read a Guardian review as well which posited that after years of struggle, those on Salt Isle are exhausted with tirades and angry rants and that’s why Piss and GB News/Talk TV are struggling. No one wants to hear it anymore.
Don’t know what his future holds but to be in career crisis, and such a mess of a brand at his age is everything he deserves. A streamed show is one step above a self-made YouTube Channel.
