Amanda Seyfried won Lead Actress, Limited Series or Movie at the Emmys last night for portraying Elizabeth Holmes on The Dropout. Amanda has been saying in interviews that she wants to do another musical and that she wants to do Broadway. I am sure that will all happen for her. (I truly hope that Holmes gets at least a decade in federal prison, but I digress.) Amanda wore an incredible pink sequin Armani gown with a wispy mesh neckline. I love how the sequins continue up into the top and how geometric and thoughtful this is.
Here’s Amanda’s speech. She truly earned this Emmy as her performance was excellent. There’s definitely an Oscar in her future.
Supporting Actress in a Drama nominee Rhea Seehorn was in Georges Chakra. I love the print on this gown and the skirt is lovely, but the top is giving Disney villain.

Kaitlyn Dever was sleek and lovely in Naeem Khan. In her E! red carpet interview she told Laverne Cox that she liked the gown because it felt like a nightgown and was so comfortable. I loved the silhouette but thought the color was a little too bright. Kaitlyn was nominated for Supporting Actress, Limited Series or Movie, for Dopesick, which went to Jennifer Coolidge. Michael Keaton was the only winner for Dopesick.

Connie Britton was also nominated in Kaitlyn’s category, for The White Lotus. She was in Monique Lhullier and I have a similar minor complaint about this dress – the color seems off somehow. Connie told Loni Love on E! that she was happy to have her hair up as it was so hot last night.

Sandra Oh slayed in this deep purple sequin and chiffon pantsuit by Rodarte. This looks so comfortable and effortless, I love it. Sandra has four SAG awards and two Golden Globes but no Emmy yet! She’s been nominated 13 times!

Love Connie but that dress isn’t super flattering for some reason. The color is a little too bubblegum? Sandra Oh looks bomb, that’s a great outfit.
Amanda’s performance was really great. The only quibble I had was that people said of Holmes that she would always draw you back in and make you believe in her even if you knew the facts didn’t line up. That – for me – did not always come across. But that weird energy, the fact that you always felt like you didn’t really understand her motives … great performance.
Connie’s dress color reminds me of the “natural” shade of nail polish. Seems unbelievable now, but when I was in my early teens there was one place I could get nail polish. Woolworths. They had clear; natural which looked like a wild bright pink, but went on as a lightly tinted clear; garish pink; red.
That was also the only place that has pantyhose, every place else just had stockings, which we wore with very unsexy garter belts. Unfortunately, the colors of pantyhose were not good, “tan” was an awful shade of Orange 😂😂😂 Wow, that color took me on a trip down memory lane!
Amanda, Cristina Ricci, and Zendaya had my favorite looks of the night, all exquisite.
Amanda thanked her dog Finn in her acceptance speech. We need more Finn.
Amanda’s dress was gorgeous and just right with her coloring, skin, hair. That Kaitlyn Deaver is a as brilliant actor! The dress style is good but agree the color not right and would like to see a different hair style. Britten’s dress is a yuck and Sandra looked like good, quirky but good.
I’m not liking all the pink lately. I’ve heard it called Barbiecore., I guess after the movie that hasn’t come out.
I love Amanda’s and Kaitlyn’s gowns, and Sandra’s suit is fantastic.
Sandra oh is such a queen I love her! She will get her Emmy one day 🙂 she’s genuinely happy for her other nominees and is just happy to be there IMO. She’s so wonderful 😁
Everyone looks great to me except for Connie. I normally love a cape, but this one drags the outfit down. I also think the bust area is unflattering – it’s a little too small and too low, so it makes her boobs look saggy, which is a shame because she has a great rack!
The top rhea seehorn’s dress is giving me bacon
