One of the big gossip stories last week was the National Enquirer story that Josh Duhamel had cheated on Fergie, his wife of less than a year, with some random Georgia stripper. Josh denied the story vehemently – through his reps. But other than those denials, Josh and Fergie haven’t said anything about it publicly. Maybe that’s because there could be some truth to the story. Although the stripper got paid for her epic tell-all of pr0n, betrayal and general sketchiness, other people confirmed that Josh was at the Georgia strip club, and there definitely seems to be something fishy going on. Now the Enquirer is reporting that Josh is “in the doghouse” with Fergie:
Despite Josh Duhamel’s denials of The ENQUIRER’s EXCLUSIVE expose of his steamy cheatin’ hookup with a stripper last week, the missus Fergie doesn’t believe him, say sources.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, a Black Eye Peas insider said the Transformers hunk and sultry thrush had ”a very intense and heated” discussion about straying with the stripper.
”He’s definitely IN the doghouse,” the insider divulged.
‘But Fergie’s hanging in there – at least for the time being. She understands show business marriages are not like other people’s.”
“She was fully aware of Josh’s reputation as a ladies man when she hooked up with him.”

The report from the Chicago Sun-Times that the Enquirer is referencing was written by one of their best gossip columnists, Bill Zwecker. Of course, it could be total crap, but it seems slightly more reliable than the Enquirer. Zwecker’s source also claimed: ‘‘[Fergie’s] been around musicians for too long.” I guess that’s supposed to mean that “what happens on tour, stays on tour”. That really could be it, now that I think about it. Fergie knows that she’s no angel, she knows Josh can’t keep it in his pants, and it’s like they’ve found some kind of acceptance.
I think the tabloids look for the couple with the least drama and then stir up alot of rumours. They have been so low key i doubt any of this.
As an aside – what the hell is Fergie doing to her face – botox? she has been looking all poofed up and swollen in the face recently. She needs to lay off whatever it is. Not a good look for her at all – and i really like her.
I know that in the end it only matters what Fergie thinks, but why do I sort of believe he did do this?
I totally believe he did it, and I totally feel bad for Fergie. I don’t care who you are, this has to hurt.

I believe he did it. I also believe this is the one time (out of many) that he got caught.
He totally did it, and it’s probably not the first time. I just hate the whole idea that she will buck up and just accept this as ok for a Hollywood marriage/lifestyle. I don’t care how good looking the guy is…kick him to the curb. Cheating is so disrespectful.
No matter how many times he did it, it still hurts. I agree that there were probably more times then we know.
They denied it once so I don’t see the need to make anymore statements or that it’s proof that the story is true. I believe that Josh would cheat but not on a $10 stripper. The story seems a little too fishy.
I have my suspicions that this story is true.

Off topic, but why do so many blogs rag on Fergie about how she looks? I think she’s beautiful.
@Danielle- I have no idea. I find her to be refreshingly honest, not ugly in the least, and seemingly well meaning and nice.
I like how people always say that she doesn’t deserve Duhamel because she is ugly, a former drug addict and peed her pants on stage. As if those are legitimate reasons for her not to find happiness with a nice looking guy.
Doghouse, shmoghouse. Fergie is the serious breadwinner here, and of course, the Dutchess holds all the cards. He should thank his lucky stars.

Fergie’s “one of the boys” so maybe Josh thinks this is “acceptable behavior” — I have a boyfriend who felt that way for YEARS. (It got old reeeeeal fast and he explained it away, that I was just one of the boys, so I should “understand.” So, I fooled around and HE DID NOT NOTICE). Like I said before, Fergie holds all the cards here. She’ll get royalties for YEARS and Duhamel will get older, less appealing, do Lifetime Movies, and fade away. He’d better behave.

It pisses me off to think that he may be using her. What a sad arrangement…the wife is away working her ass off while the barely-working husband is out screwing some dimestore stripper.

Well, you see, the only thing Fergie has going for her are her looks.
She’s a former meth addict and a dirtbag.
It’s kind of difficult for any man to foster a genuine emotional connection with such a woman.
Thus, he’s sticking around because she’s a reasonably nice piece of ass.
However, because he can’t seem to cross that emotional bridge, being what she is, it’s easy for him to stray.
It’s just that simple.
If Fergie were more of a catch, he wouldn’t consider her as nothing more than a convenient source of female attention.
I feel so bad for her. People like Perez put her down, but I do not see ugly at all. I saw her and met her and she is so cute in person.

I have met Josh actually and he seemed like such a nice guy when he was on the soap, but I think the fact women throw themselves at him went ot his head.
I always heard from others who know him he resisted women, but it seemed like since he got engaged and felt secure he has cheated on her a lot from what I hear.

WHAT???? Michellemuck? Are you serious? This man asked her to marry him. In fact he was obsessed with her and said he was before he met her in a magazine! He went after her and gushes over her in every darn interview! So you don’t blame him? WTF?

You are blaming Fergie’s past that she overcame for Josh cheating? He was with her for years before asking her to marry him. She is a very sweet, thoughtful person and when she speaks she is very much a person who has a lot of depth and character now.
Josh cheated on his ex fiancee who had no past at all.

I saw Fergie perform the other night at the Rock and Roll hall of fame concert. She is so strong to go on stage like that with Mick Jagger and Bono when this was happening. She was amazing! It will be an HBO special.
Fergie has a lot ahead of her career wise. Josh is living off of her name and hard work. Poor girl has worked since she was 6 and overcame a horrible addition, and thought she found a good guy.

She’s made some very bad decisions, and yes, newsflash, our actions have a substantial influence over how others perceive us as human beings.
And yes, the sort of things she did in her past have contributed to who she is as a human being, that’s how it works.
If you don’t go to school, you end up stupid and uneducated, you act like a compulsive tramp, you end up with bad habits and decreased social value.
It’s an effective roadblock to developing a higher level of psychological attraction, it’s simple human behavior.
Of course in our society, nobody cares about men, so they simply decry it as “insensitivity” or some other bloody rot.
