As I’ve said before, I used to not “get” the Pete Davidson thing, but I started to understand his appeal when he dated Kim Kardashian. His appeal: he’s nice and thoughtful, he takes women out on real dates, he makes an effort, he’s confident without being conceited, he’s funny in a normal-dude way. Yeah. I get it now. So it’s not surprising at this point that Pete is scoring all of these beautiful women. His latest girlfriend is Emily Ratajkowski, who left her husband earlier this year. Emily has been dating and keeping it breezy, but I think this marks a new step.
Last night, they went to the Knicks-Grizzlies game at Madison Square Garden. They sat courtside beside Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor. Pete has abandoned the blonde hair, and he looks pretty healthy. Emily seemed smiley and happy. I think this means they’re official, right? A date in public, at MSG, courtside tickets? The one thing which I find a tad red-flaggy is that Pete tends to move super-fast when he likes someone. By most accounts, Emily and Pete started seeing each other (at most) three weeks ago. It feels pretty fast to be this public and official-y. But what do I know? While some fast-moving relationships seem like love-bombing, I doubt that’s what is happening here. I think Pete just… moves fast.

Pete looks REALLY good. His hair looks great, he looks chill and healthy and I definitely see the appeal. In fact, this is not just scumbag hot, this is legit hot.

Definitely don’t see him as a love-bomber, just a guy that dives head-first into rapid waters 🤷♀️ Maybe not the greatest thing for his heart, but nothing wrong with it in general.
He keeps his mouth shut and doesn’t talk to the press. That’s something else famous women have to really appreciate. And it’s the opposite of love bombing fakeness.
I remember reading dating advice for guys being to get a reputation for being good in bed, because women will tell their friends and word get out, and also to keep your mouth shut and never bad mouth or spread dirty details about the women you date. The implication was that if you meet these qualifications, the ladies will start looking for you. Seems to have worked for Pete.
That’s actually very good advice, and total opposite if what those douchey PUA guides would say to do.
Which I guess is why one way leads to being a Pete Davidson, and the other leads to incel-hood.

Not the greatest example. If you go by what their exes has said. Pete is kind and funny and Mayer is the kind of guy who makes you feel bad about yourselves by playing with peoples hearts.
From what I’ve learned of Mayer (who I used to adore…yikes) he’s drops in emotional abuse with his brand of romance/love and he’s a fucking know-it-all. Pete seems to be a nice fella who wants to be healthy and stay healthy, work, have fun all without trying to destroy the ego’s and minds of the women he dates.
Hard disagree on the comparison. Pete has never talked about his sex life good, bad or other. Meyer on the other hand… Pete also seems like he builds up his ladies’ feel attractive and special while Meyer was always said to belittle their confidence.
This, and I remember somewhere I read that publicists suggest to NEVER date John Mayer, because it’s a Pr nightmare.
Pete Davidson keeps his mouth shut, and famous women date him, this means publicist don’t have to worry about public disasters.
Why do they just seem to match perfectly? They just…go together.

I think Pete has some undefinable quality that makes him “go together” with any woman he dates. The women always look happy. He needs to write a book for other men on how to do that.

He seems to be a nice enough guy, and the fact that he does keep his mouth shut and doesn’t sh*t talk or sell stories about his gfs is a big plus in my book.
IRL, I was having some good fun times w/a fella, and soon found out that he was chatting away to all his buddies about our private times. I dumped him as if he was radioactive. He actually called me to find out why I ended it. “Hey, stupid! Keep your mouth shut. Guess how many of your “buddies” I’ve heard from? Tool.”

This is not a knock at Pete, I think he’s great. It’s a knock at men in general and the state of modern dating, because OMFG that is a low bar. Nice, treats you well, doesn’t gossip about you, fun, funny, treats his mother well, takes you on real dates, is down-to-earth. This is the absolute baseline of what a dude should be, and instead it is getting this man the most famously beautiful and accomplished women on earth. It’s a sad indictment on men today and particularly on famous men.
