The fourth and final season of Succession had its premiere last night in New York. All of the stars and friends-of-Succession came out for the premiere event… including Oscar Isaac! It’s too much to hope that Oscar has a cameo in the show, but he must know a lot of these actors (I think he’s tight with Jeremy Strong, actually).
Random notes from the premiere: Sarah Snook is knocked up! She got married a few years ago, very quietly, and I’m happy for her. I doubt that they made Shiv pregnant in the show, especially since it feels like Shiv and Tom are headed for divorce. Alexander Skarsgard – who has a recurring role as eccentric billionaire Lukas Matsson – confirmed on the carpet that he and his girlfriend quietly welcomed their first child last year.
I enjoy the energy Jeremy Strong and Kieran Culkin are bringing to the premiere. Strong seems completely zen, finding stillness in expensive hobo chic. Strong brought his lovely wife Emma. Kieran brought his wife Jazz Charton. Like, Kieran is so much more well-adjusted than his character Roman. But Culkin does Roman so well, it’s crazy. He is, an d like it or not style wise, it’s an actual outfit by design, I like his sneakers, not an Adam Sandler this is what I wore to wheel the trash to the curb and the red carpet.

Jeremy showed up in a track suit and sneakers. And he went to the Emmys in his brown Kendall outfit before that. This man amuses me so much.
My brother is obsessed with Succession. He got me to watch it so that we can text and discuss the show. It is a great show and texting about the characters is a hoot. Also, my brother loves to dress as Kendall and do impersonations! He keeps me laughing.
Kieran Culkin is SO good. Well, they’re all spectacular really, if I think about it. I’m so looking forward to it!
I just realised on recent rewatch of Home Alone that the dorky little cousin with glasses that drinks too much soda is Kieran! So cute.

First time I saw Matthew Macfadyen was on MI-5/Spooks!!! It’s also where he met his wife Keeley Hawes (who is fantastic as well). His performance as Tom is SO GOOD.

I rewatched Jeremy’s interview on Colbert promoting Armageddon Time and the man is fine in interviews. He talked about the work and how proud he was of it and was calm and pretty funny.

Wait, we’re not gonna talk about how Brian Cox screamed at photographers on the red carpet? I think Deadline has it. They were interviewing Fisher Stevens and in the background you could hear Cox going crazy. Poor Fisher had to vamp.
