One of the funniest parts about Taylor Swift’s “month long” relationship with Matt Healy is that Noel Gallagher was in the background, narrating it like a Greek chorus. To be fair, Healy apparently mentioned Gallagher in some interview a few months ago, and that was just the opening Gallagher needed to talk about Healy in multiple interviews. Gallagher called Healy a “slack-jawed f–kwit” and said Healy’s band, The 1975, is “sh-t” and they should split up. Then in a different interview, Gallagher went on and on about how the 1975 sucks and they’re not making real rock music. Well, Gallagher is still promoting his new album, and of course he was asked about Matt Healy once again. This time he talked about Taylor Swift.

Gallagher jokes that his war of words with the 1975’s Matty Healy is responsible for Healy’s recent reported breakup with Taylor Swift:

“Taylor has obviously said, ‘Now look, keep your f–king nose out of that Gallagher business, or we are f–king through,’” he says. “And he couldn’t help it. And Swifty, God bless her, said, ‘I can’t deal with this sh-t because once he’s done with you, he is gonna come after me and I’m not f–king having it. So, I’m sorry, Matty, you gotta go.’ Serves him right!”

“And Swifty, God bless her” – I’m laughing so hard that he calls her “Swifty.” There’s a kernel of truth there too – Taylor was not only worried that her fans would turn on her because of her relationship with a racist dirtbag, she was worried that she would be (gasp) criticized by her peers in the music industry.

Apparently, Healy said something about Gallagher last week, which I missed. Healy said: “The difference between me and Noel is that I do a series of interviews to promote an album, whereas he does an album to promote a series of interviews.” Which is also true.
