Reese Witherspoon & Jim Toth quietly finalized their divorce in four months

In March, Reese Witherspoon began the divorce rollout. Her twelve-year marriage to Jim Toth had fallen apart, mostly out of public view, and I got the feeling that Reese and Jim had already negotiated a big chunk of the divorce before anything was announced. That’s what real wealth can buy you – Reese sold her production company, Hello Sunshine, in late 2021 for $900 million. I wondered if Toth would end up walking away with a chunk of that money. We’ll probably never know, because everything was settled very, very quietly.

Reese Witherspoon has settled her divorce with her estranged husband, just four months after she first filed. According to new court docs, obtained by TMZ, Reese and Jim Toth both signed a marital dissolution agreement … and the exes also signed off on a parenting plan for their 10-year-old son.

The exact details aren’t clear yet, but the agreement is typically presented to the judge, who then, routinely, signs off on it.

Remember … Reese announced back in late March that she and Jim had decided to end their marriage after 12 years together … and we were told the split was amicable. Reese followed through a week after the announcement, officially filing for divorce and noting the two had a prenup in place. The divorce never appeared to get nasty, at least not in public or in court docs, and now they seem ready to go their separate ways.

Yahoo/The Blast had some additional details, like neither of them will pay child support and they’re simply going to split the costs for Tennessee, who is 10 years old. They told the court that “each party has significant separate assets and more than sufficient means to independently care for the minor child while in his or her care.” Additionally, they’ve split up their art, furniture and “each individual will keep their clothing, jewelry, and other unique things. They will keep their vehicles, hotel, airline, and credit card points.”

Considering the prenup and the lack of discussion about Toth trying to nullify the prenup, my guess is that Reese simply offered him a nice settlement with zero spousal or child support attached and Toth took it. My guess is something in the low eight-figures.

Has he been seen with a new 20 something girlfriend or am I getting my divorced dads mixed up?

No pictures but a report he was vacationing with a woman in Costa Rica. I don’t think it mentioned her age.

This is how you do it looking at you Kevin Costner. These two listen to their business people.

Wow I’d forgotten about them getting a divorce.

Toth was very successful in his own right and doesn’t need her money. I hope their coparenting works out but didn’t he want to move to Silicon Valley?

I had a feeling a few years ago they were separating based on the fact of them selling their marital home, buying new houses and renting a mansion (in the more or less same neighborhood as the marital home). They kept gossips at bay by her regularly shouting out Jim on social media for birthdays, anniversaries etc. But during the pandemic she moved to Tennessee and he most probably never did. I think she had it all mapped out to keep it on the down low (easier when her spouse isn’t another actor) because of her tabloid nightmare split with Ryan. He already had a piece of hello sunshine so that asset was divided up when it was sold. It went through fast because it had been in the works for years they just kept up the facade they were together. Only hiccup I can see is when couples don’t live in the same state co parenting is harder.

Someone online (here?) mentioned an overlooked movie of hers “Sweet Home Alabama” so I ordered the DVD and watched the movie last night. Man, oh man, she has that sweetheart shaped face that is so engaging. She does the sad, confused pout incredibly well. The movie overall was kind of silly but it was way fun to see some of the folks in it! Mary Kay Place, Fred Ward, Jean Smart, Candice Bergen, just to name a few. The guys were okay, but it was the women in the movie that blew me away the most. They all appeared to be having so much fun!! I hope they had fun!
