This year’s annual LACMA Art+Film gala was a much more subdued affair, from what I gather. They severely limited the red carpet to only one or two photo agencies, so there aren’t tons of photos making the rounds. This year’s gala honored director David Fincher, who has collaborated with Brad Pitt multiple times, on films like Fight Club, Se7en, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (truly one of their weirdest collabs in retrospect). All of which to say, Brad Pitt did attend the gala and yet there are no photos of him. He brought Ines de Ramon as his date.

Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon are going strong, having made another public appearance together as a couple Saturday night, two sources confirmed to PEOPLE.

Pitt, 59, and de Ramon, 32, attended LACMA’s 12th annual Art+Film Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, but they did not pose for photos together.

“They were super loving. Laughing and joking with everyone around them,” a source told PEOPLE of the pair’s outing. “They seemed to be having a good time.”

The ceremony — co-chaired by LACMA trustee Eva Chow and Pitt’s frequent collaborator Leonardo DiCaprio — honored filmmaker David Fincher, to whom Pitt introduced a tribute. The A-lister has starred in several of Fincher’s films, including Se7en (1995), Fight Club (1999) and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008).

Pitt and de Ramon’s date night comes off the heels of a romantic summer they spent together. A source close to de Ramon told PEOPLE in late July that “they are doing great” as their relationship is still “going very strong.”

“The two have been spending a lot of time together this summer as they truly enjoy each other’s company and are very into each other,” the insider shared at the time. “It’s apparent to anyone who sees them together.”

This is the first I’m hearing about Brad and Ines spending the summer together. Pitt’s Formula 1 movie was filming in the UK and Europe when the SAG-AFTRA strike was called, and he kept filming for weeks (perhaps months) during the strike, even though he made a big deal about how he was doing the right thing and putting the production on hiatus… weeks after the strike began. We also heard (from British reporting) that Brad spent part of July getting drunk in pubs and getting hammered with Guy Ritchie. Was Ines around that whole time? Is this Pitt’s effort to make it sound like he spent a quiet summer with Ines instead of lowkey scabbing and boozing in Europe?
