This is the new trailer for the Jennifer Aniston-Gerard Butler film Bounty Hunter. This sh-t looks terrible. Both of them look like they need twenty minutes (separately) in a really hot shower. This is Gerard’s usual look as of late, and I hate it. He looks kind of pretty when he cleans himself up, so I don’t know why he’s forcing me to love him through this filth. But Aniston? Usually she looks like she’s bathed and everything, so I don’t get the look here. I guess it’s Method hair – if you’re playing a character on the run, your hair must be flat.

Beyond the way the two leads look, there’s quite a bit of bad acting on exhibit in this trailer. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Jennifer Aniston is like a million times more believable than Gerard. It like he’s trying to hard to work on his American accent to actually put some feelings into his lines, although I did like the part where Aniston is on top of him and he has his gun. I smiled at his line. And, to give Aniston some credit, she’s good with dialogue-heavy pieces, probably because she spent so much working on Friends, and she knows how to make lines “pop”. Gerard doesn’t have that kind of talk-talk-talk sitcom training, and you can tell. But they both look pretty bad at the physical comedy parts. For shame, both of you.

About a month ago I finally saw The Ugly Truth, the film Gerard did with Katherine Heigl, and I ended up being impressed with Butler and Heigl’s chemistry together. Even though he looked like death warmed over, you could tell that the two actors enjoyed each other. Will Butler and Aniston have the same kind of flirty, sexy chemistry? I can’t tell from this trailer, but it doesn’t really seem like it.

Oh, and the plot looks moronic too. And you can pretty much tell every major plot point from the two-and-a-half minute trailer, which is always a bad sign.
