Well, I didn’t have Ben Affleck becoming a fashion icon on my 2024 bingo card, but here we are. Ben, Matt Damon, and Tom Brady all wore amazing Dunkin-themed tracksuit during Ben’s hilarious Super Bowl commercial. The commercial had Ben and his band, the DunKings, interrupting Jennifer Lopez’s recording session to debut their own music in an attempt to impress her. It was a really funny bit that was supposed to be a sequel to last year’s Super Bowl commercial, which had Ben working the Dunkin drive-thru window and JLo stopping by to place an order.
After the commercial premiered, Dunkin released DunKings merch! Ben’s version of the tracksuit, as well as a DunKings bucket hat and tumblers, went up for pre-order on Dunkin’s website on Monday. Clearly, I wasn’t the only person who thought the commercial was awesome because the jacket and bucket hat sold out in 19 minutes!
Dunkin’ Donuts has clearly found a sweet spot with their Ben Affleck partnership … ’cause their clothing merch has flown off the shelves following his SB commercial.
As everyone saw Sunday, Ben repped his beloved donut company in their latest Super Bowl ad wearing their outrageously orange signature tracksuits alongside Matt Damon and Tom Brady as they hilariously debuted their band, The DunKings.
As it turns out, the SB spot worked — because we’re told Dunkin’ sold out of their new tracksuits in just 19 minutes after going up on sale on their site Monday.
In addition to the DunKings track jacket and track pants, the DunKings bucket hat was also in high demand … and is currently sold out on their site — with the sales marking a record-breaking milestone as the fastest collection to sell out in Dunkin’ history.
DD says they’re currently working on a restock of the sold-out merch … but for fans of the new boyband, hurry to stores cause The DunKings Iced Coffee, Munchkins Skewers, and more items are available for a limited time.
Evidently, Ben and Dunkin’ is a match made in donut heaven … and no doubt, the Hollywood star is having the last laugh after thousands of memes mocking his unwavering love for the baked good store.
Hey, if you’re gonna become a brand ambassador for a donut company that you famously love, then you may as well lean all the way in. I cannot think of a more perfect sponsor match than Affleck and Dunkin, and I appreciate that Ben’s so game to make fun of himself. The merch itself adds a creative and fun touch to it, too. I wouldn’t drop $120 in total on a Dunkin-themed tracksuit, but to each their own. And just for funsies, how long do we think it’ll be before these outfits start popping up on eBay before eventually landing on Poshmark, lol?
On Tuesday, Dunkin released the extended cut of the commercial, which has more context behind Ben’s journey that led him to form the DunKings and end up in the studio. It’s a little too long, but cute, and there’s a funny scene with Charli D’Amelio trying to teach him to dance. At this point, though, I’m invested in the storyline they’ve got going on with these commercials. I’m actually looking forward to seeing what they end up doing for Part 3 during Super Bowl 2025. Storywise, the ball’s back in JLo’s court, right? Next year’s commercial has to put her in some sort of ridiculous outfit to match the tracksuit and give Dunkin a whole new line of merch to debut.

Right. This is cool but Jlo is embaressing.
Right? I was thinking the exact same thing. It is obvious he is into this as much as she is. He directed one of the movies (not sure if the doc or the movie itself). Amazing what internalized misogyny does.
I think it is all ridiculous but this does show at least some self-awareness. In the ad, he is absolutely making fun of himself overtly. Like Matt is mocking how silly Ben is.
I wonder if these people drink their Dunkin Donuts coffee in a Stanley?
Dunkin isn’t my thing, but no shame if you want that tracksuit! I still check eBay periodically for the Olive Garden pajamas…
Olive Garden pajamas?! What?
Yep, they were a limited edition sale the year before last (I think?) and sold out in seconds, like before I had time to fill in my check out page! Every now and then I come across an XS pair online but I guess all the XL people are holding on to their sets.
I would totally buy this tracking suit for me and my buddies for halloween! We’d be the coolest moms on the street pumping our music with our pumpkins in the back!
I won’t lie. I would wear the pink bucket hat. Alas it’s sold out.
Same.
I thought this was the best commercial of the Super Bowl
The synergy of this is amazing. I am not a Dunkin coffee person (their breakfast menu is decent though) but I do love how Ben’s legendary love for Dunkin has been parlayed into a sponsorship contract with them. And it feels completely organic because we all know how much Ben genuinely loves Dunkin.
It’s a cool tracksuit!
“This is rough but it’s also finished” had me ROTFL! I want that donut necklace.
This commercial, all the different cuts of it, make me lol. I don’t care much for any of the guys in it, but gd it’s endearing and funny. This might be the only thing I’ve loved Affleck in, for sure the first time I see his charm.
Yes to this! As the long-time conductor of the Ben Affleck Hate Train, I was feeling oddly conflicted while watching this delightful commercial. I also find myself loving Bennifer 2.0. What is happening to me?
I feel like Dunkin’ is actually Ben’s one true love, and I believe in it way more than I believe in the JLo relationship!
“I don’t have that voice” …. best line
Yeah this is such a cultural thing for New England-Greater Boston area which includes Providence/Rhode Island, up to Manchester, NH area. Think every Adam Sandler fan, every Patriots Nation fan, lots more more “intellectual” Cambridge-type Matt Damon Ben Affleck fans, throw in some JLo fans and all
Kinds of moms and people who want a fabulous/epic outfit or a tracksuit to embarrass their kids in for the icing in top-they could legit sell these to probably at least half a million New Englanders alone. I kept refreshing to see these Monday, but then I missed it. Maybe they’ll just sell these forever!
Oh and LOL to his explanation and DELIVERY of what kind of influencer he is! (~actor/worrier/director of motion pictures, which was a long-form type of entertainment that was popular in the 20th century!)
