Danielle Brooks has been a joy to watch this awards season. I’ve loved to see her interviews, especially on the red carpet with her former costar Laverne Cox, and how delighted and just delightful she is. I’m inspired when I hear her talk about making her dreams come true and I know we’re going to see so much more of her. Danielle was in a black Dolce & Gabbana gown with a sequin accented bodice and a high leg slit. She’s so pretty and I love her styling.
Regina King introduced Danielle during this category presentation, which of course went to Da’Vine Joy Randolph. I’m so glad to see Regina again and I’ve been thinking about her. Regina was in a Versace gown that photographs orange in some pictures but looked bright red on camera. I’m including this side photo of Danielle and Regina as it captures the color best.
Look at the wave-like tiny details on this gown!
Rita Moreno was in Badgley Mischka. There was some confusion as the E! panel was told she would be in Dolce & Gabbana, but to their credit they knew this gown wasn’t D&G. This lady is 92 years old! I always say I want to live until 94 at least and I look to women like Rita as my inspiration. She presented Best Supporting Actress nominee America Ferrera.
Jamie Lee Curtis was in Dolce & Gabbana. While most of the E! correspondents were fawning over her, Christian Siriano said it was kind of plain or something like that. He kept it real and I appreciated that! She could have brought it a little more. Her cuff was cool.

I like Danielle’s gown but think the train could use more “floof” like maybe just a little more fabric. I liked how she accesorized and if I had to change anything I might like to see her nails done in more silver accents in the polish. I’m not loving her shoes but I’m not hating them, either. They look like something I would wear and that’s what I think the problem is!
Regina’s dress brings me joy. I love everything about her look.
All the other outfits pictured looked very nice. Rita looks glamourous and fun. Jamie Lee brought clean lines and understated elegance.
Regina King knocked it out of the park. That dress was perfection and she was wearing the hell out of it.
Jamie Lee Curtis looked great. Chic, elegant and understated, and I love her white pixie cut.
Rita Moreno — ay bendito, eres un tesoro nacional.
Regina King gets my vote for best dressed.
Regina always looks amazing!
Danielle is gorgeous, and I love her gown. She’s so talented, it’s great to see her career soaring.
Danielle looks lovely, and I was hoping Danielle would have won her category. I thought she was outstanding in The Color Purple
