Here are some photos from the Roman photocall and premiere for Challengers, the tennis-romance-drama. Zendaya is still serving looks – to the outdoor photocall, she wore a custom Loewe minidress, and to the premiere, she wore a Calvin Klein suit-dress, I guess we’ll call it. The Loewe dress is supposed to evoke a tennis dress, although Nike and Adidas and the other tennis-clothing labels tend to avoid making low-cut dresses, lest a woman’s cleavage assault the viewer’s eyes. Zendaya also wore shoes with “tennis balls” on the spiked heels. This was honestly a fun little look!
The Calvin Klein suit dress is not my jam, although Zendaya absolutely pulls it off. The necklace is what ties everything together, and I get it. I just wish the jacket had been a bit more conservative or Zendaya had worn something underneath the jacket.
There’s been a lowkey conversation on Tennis Twitter about Zendaya’s tennis-themed fashion and predictions about how she’ll look in the tennis-playing scenes of the film. From the clips I’ve seen, the actual “tennis” seems to be, um, lacking in authenticity. But I’ll still watch the hell out of it.

I really like the tennis dress and those tennis ball heels.
I love the little tennis dress and shoes, so cute yet elegant
I love the open blazer with that necklace. I wish it were pants instead of a skirt though. The little mini dress is super cute.
There are so few looks this woman wears that I don’t like. She totally makes fashion fun and interesting to see!
She looks fabulous as always, and I love that she’s having some fun with the theme while still keeping it chic.
Okay, I’m really into the silver tennis dress. And yes, I know it’s tennis-inspired but I’m also feeling a galactic Judi Jetson vibe, which I also don’t mind😂. This movie should be fun, whether they mastered the tennis or not. However, possibly distracting for regular tennis watchers.
Love her – she always looks good. Just recently saw Dune 2 and was glad that they expanded the Chani role as I was a bit underwhelmed by TC’s performance as Paul. He tried but he sometimes came off as a petulant teenager which Paul was not – will be interesting to see how he does with Paul’s story arc in Dune Messiah. And Austin Butler was a bit of a let down – at times I thought ‘Elvis was a Harkonnen, who knew’, there were a few times the Elvis voice slipped in but maybe it was just me.
As for Zendaya – I look forward to see what she does in the future, she is a very talented actress.
The dress is crazy cute. The shoes are fun as a one off. But the dress could be worn more casually with those Vans style platform pseudo tennis shoes.
Those shoes are fun, but my feet hurt just looking at them!
I like the tennis themed stuff, and the suit looks good, she makes everything look good.
