Chrissy Teigen & John Legend were rude to three women in a photo booth

Chrissy Teigen covers one of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit editions this year. We didn’t cover it because… I don’t know, it feels like the culture has stopped caring so much about the Swimsuit edition? It used to be a big deal, like Victoria’s Secret runway shows on network television (although those VS shows are reportedly making a comeback too). Plus, I think the choice of Chrissy for a cover is just so basic and unimaginative, besides which, she’s had so much plastic surgery at this point, she can barely move her face. Plus she’s a terrible person.

Anyway, a few days ago, there was an event celebrating all of the SI: Swimsuit edition models. Chrissy attended with John Legend and they were rude to peasants:

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend seemed eager to take a pic at an event last night — but one woman is suggesting they booted her crew early just so they could get their own shots. A new video posted to TikTok seemingly shows the moment that went down at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s 60th Anniversary party Thursday in New York City … when a few young ladies stepped up to hit some poses in a photo booth that was being used by everyone.

After a few snaps in the clip, you can see and hear John step in — telling the women he and Chrissy are going to sneak into the booth for a moment of their own … and the girls beat it.

It takes a bit for them to gather everything up … and JL and CT awkwardly stand behind them — patiently waiting for them to grab everything they need so the couple can get their pics. As the girls try to send their own shots to themselves, Chrissy and John look annoyed. Worth noting … there are a couple cuts in the video — so, we don’t actually know how long the group was using the photo booth or if there was a time limit to keep the line moving.

That said … the video definitely makes it look like JL and CT got tired of waiting and decided to hustle their fellow partygoers along so they could get their turn — and while it appears the women might’ve been bent out of shape … it doesn’t really seem like they were all that mad.

[From TMZ]

I’m including the video below – the woman claims that she and her friends waited 30 minutes to get into the photobooth, only for Chrissy and John to interrupt them. Chrissy was probably like “I’m on the cover, I shouldn’t have to wait.” The way John and Chrissy are looking at those women with such elitist annoyance is really something. I mean, I’m predisposed to thinking Chrissy and John are in the wrong, but what was stopping those women from saying “no, get out, we’re not done?”

This particular incident may have just been a misunderstanding. It doesn’t take away from the fact that they are both terrible people.

    • OriginalLeigh says:

@Laura – Is John just a terrible person by association with Chrissy or has he also done nasty things in the past? I’ve never really heard anything negative about him?

I saw this last week and thought it was petty. John and Chrissy get their pictures taken literally every day. They could have waited for those young women to finish or simply left if they were that tired of waiting.

      • Izzy says:

He knows EXACTLY what kind of person he married and seems more than fine with it. You are the company you keep.

    • MissMarirose says:

They’re saying on Reddit that the girl in the brown dress is a TikTok troll (Winta Zesu) whose whole shtick is basically just pissing people off to get their angry reactions so she can act the victim.

      • Izzy says:

That may be true. Apart from this entire incident, Chrissy Teigen herself is a nasty internet troll who cyberbullied a teenage girl. John Legend knows exactly what kind of person he married and absolutely adores her. That says a lot about him as well.

  2. Nubia says:

The way she was cancelled years ago was glorious, she was deplorable on twitter, she really thought she was doing something.I guess she is slithering back.

  3. Amy Bee says:

There’s not much to judge on in the video and even TMZ is not exactly sure what happened. John seems pleasant enough and I don’t know what the girl in front the camera was doing.

  4. Peanut Butter says:

I can never forget how grown-woman Chrissy Teigen bullied teenaged Courtney Stodden 😔

    • Tanesha86 says:

She also bullied Quvenzhané Wallis when she was 9 years old. She’s a horrible person and I wish she would just disappear from the public eye

    • StillDouchesOfCambridge says:

That was horrible what she did to that teen girl. She always had a bully vibe.

  5. AMB says:

I think the SI Swimsuit thing is passe because, frankly, we saw at least as much skin at the Met Gala this year.

It used to be outre and transgressive – women cover a sports mag! in scanties! – but now it’s just outdated. In a “smelly, needs a shower” way, not a “retro” way.

    • BeanieBean says:

It was more sexist than anything–the only way SI would have a woman on the cover would be models in swimsuits, rather than, you know, actual women athletes.

  6. Lemons says:

I’m sorry but, are the kids alright?
This was the photobooth, so who was filming the tiktok? Her phone? So they took the time to set up the phone in addition to doing however many shots on the booth?

And yeah, as the cover girl, I also am not waiting for the photo booth…Seriously?

Chrissy was terrible and her surgeries are awful, but as a 30-something, I would also be annoyed. Like…hurry up.

    • Snuffles says:

This. It looked like they were hogging the booth to get their content. I don’t think this was a situation. Just some impatience.

    • Yup, Me says:

Agreed. And really, there should have been someone there hustling people along, anyway. Especially so the cover girl can get her time in the photo booth. Everyone is there to generate content and the cover model posting her booth photos is, arguably, going to do more for the success of the issue than these three.

I also didn’t think they looked all that annoyed. They just looked like they were waiting for the people who were there to be done and depart.

  7. Em says:

Misleading headline, the girl that posted the video in question is an influencer that posts videos at elite events with weird captions like this and if you watch the video Chrissy and John were not rude at all

  8. Aimee says:

They may not have been directly rude to those women but that look of disdain on her face says it all.

  9. Kristina mansfield says:

The girl in the middle has a big TikTok following. This is a bit.

  10. Flamingo says:

Yeah, not feeling this one. They took pictures and the handlers asked them to step to the side. I wouldn’t doubt they weren’t the only ones asked to keep it moving. You can’t stay in there for long when there is a line.

While Chrissy has said and done some icky things. They weren’t rude to the women at all. This just feels like someone trying to exploit a situation for clout using Chrissy and John.

  11. Kadee says:

Idk. Aren’t Teigen and Legend big stars already? Don’t they have their own camera crew? They have to muscle out young unknown model influencers who are working on getting their glam shot footage for their tik Tok? The girls don’t seem to mind bc they’re young and easy to intimidate.

  12. Rnot says:

Ooof that nude dress is just awful!

  13. Amy says:

This whole thing is a bit. The girl in the video is a TikToker who posts weird outrage videos like this all the time.

  14. Ameerah M says:

I would have just said “wait your turn”. I don’t care who they are. Like I get being annoyed but also…stand up for yourself. Celebs are not Gods.

  15. bisynaptic says:

    People still do photo booths?!

  16. eto says:

I know that one of the girls is a ragebaiter on TikTok but the way John motions for them to get out really rubs me the wrong way

  17. Renee' says:

The way Chrissy treated Quvenzhané Wallis will never buy her any good will with me. She bullied a child and others for years. She is not a good person.
