I’ve always had a soft spot for Amber Rose. She has a terrible picker and/or she’s quite unlucky in love, but I’ve enjoyed her sex-positive message and her reclamation of the word “slut.” That being said, I haven’t paid attention to her in three years, not since her breakup with AE. What has happened in the past three years? What has Amber been up to? Well, it looks like she’s MAGA now. This is a photo of Amber with Donald Trump and Melania. It was taken at Mar-a-Lago by the looks of it. Amber posted this herself! It wasn’t some incidental, whoops-I-accidentally-stood-beside-a-rapist moment. She was proud of this.
Amber Rose is so proud of this photo that she seemingly endorsed Trump as well – she wrote “Trump 2024” plus some American flag emojis. Which I guess constitutes an endorsement. As The Cut points out, Amber has spent years doing good work around bodily autonomy, anti-slut-shaming and anti-sexual violence. And now she’s endorsing a sexual predator for president.
Incidentally, I think one of two things could be very possible. One, Amber possibly got sucked into the MAGA or QAnon cult and she’s fully in that rabbit hole. Two, this all a grift for her and she’s on a scammer’s path. We’ll see, I guess. I hate to say it, but it’s looking more like it’s Option #1.

I care far more about people espousing dangerously bigoted views who will, most likely, vote for the guy you’re terrified of. Just so folks understand: the hatred was not created by Trump–it’s been there for a long time, festering and seething within the hearts of the folks who vote for him. Biden winning won’t magically eradicate this dangerous mindset.

I agree that the hatred wasn’t created by him but is being outwardly normalized, more and more each day, by him and his ilk being in positions of power and influence. Using “trumpian” methods has become a thing used by politicians in various governments, not just here, to give permission for folks to act out on their most vile and hateful tendencies.
So, yeah, it makes a damn bit of difference who we vote into office.

We all need to be single issue voters this election cycle………….democracy or authoritarianism. Simple.
Amber Rose is one of those people that constantly deals with an identity crisis. Desperate for validation desperate for acceptance and being in these predominantly white spaces. The GOP also leans hard on homophobia and transphobia and sadly a lot of people latch on to that.
Not surprised at all, seems a likely progression for her. The Slutwalk appeared to be more about her, a personal quest not to be shamed, not a thing to advance women in general because she’s been showing a lot of symptoms of extreme individualism, who are the types Trump attracts. It’s more probable that Amber hates immigrants, views it as a zero sum game and that is her real stance but is masking behind men in women’s sports. I highly doubt she gives a fk about that.
THIS. And I mean, the people, lifestyles, and dysfunction she has surrounded herself with since I’m sure before she first started becoming famous aren’t exactly normal. Extremism, living in the fringes of society (which celebs and the 1% do by default), being abused & mistreated consistently, feeling disenfranchised, living in fear much of the time, like… guys, this is just a much more well-off version of how most people get sucked in. And it’s probably not about her views as much as it’s about how it makes her feel – the Big Lie isn’t really the election being “stolen”, it’s “your only chance at safety & happiness is over here, where nobody else can have it because if they have, you haven’t”. As a vulnerable person of means who doesn’t seem to have done extensive therapy (that I’m aware of), this checks out bigtime. The Slutwalk protected her while garnering attention, and I bet it feels like this is too, especially with how she’ll be welcomed by many on the right – who of course, don’t actually want anything to do with her, they just want tokenism and their “see? We have em too!” response to the left.
Pickers are only broken because you’ve been conditioned. The only way to fix it is to do the work to learn everything about how, why, what love actually is, that it cannot exist without respect, etc etc etc. If she had done all that, she probably wouldn’t be doing this. Which really sucks, cuz it’s not our fault that we’re conditioned – we don’t *choose* to have “broken pickers”. But it’s still our responsibility to fix it, and while super unfair, it’s true. I feel so bad for her kids who are inheriting this generational trauma. Maybe they can do the work that she couldn’t.
Someone should ask Amber how many black people are members at his golf resorts, I’m guessing she didn’t see those Trumpers making monkey noises at a black woman, or him reposting a video where they used the word reich, F her.
