Adele is still doing her “Weekends with Adele” residency in Las Vegas. Originally, I don’t think the residency was supposed to extend this far, but remember, she had to cancel a big chunk of the original residency dates because she couldn’t get the staging or her show done in time, so she basically had to add dates to the backend of the residency. All of which to say, she’s still doing shows to sold out crowds and people are coming from all over to watch Adele perform. While I’m sure Adele has fans from every spectrum, from every walk of life, from every political affiliation, why would you pay all of that money and make all of that effort to go to Adele’s show just to scream “f–k Pride”? That’s exactly what happened on Adele’s June 1st concert. The first day of Pride Month, a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community. Happy Pride! Which is probably what Adele said, something about happy Pride. Someone shouted back “f–k Pride!” This was Adele’s response:

The funniest part is the woman saying “let’s jump him” as Adele reads that man to filth. I appreciate that Adele shut it down immediately and thoroughly. She’s getting praise for being such an ally, but she’s always been an ally! She f–king loves her LGBTQ fans, she’s always stood up for the community. It’s a mystery why someone would come to her show and say that.
She also sang to a young boy in a cowboy hat who was GAGGED!

I just saw a video on Instagram from that night, Adele was talking about how busy she’s been and all the work she’s been doing and then that’s when a man clearly yells “work sucks”. Not pride sucks. Adele just heard him wrong. Still love her though and glad and still glad to know she will go off on stupid people

For some reason, the security guards patting the kid really got me. That whole video is the sweetest.

After asking him if he was stupid, I wish she had said, ‘that’s a rhetorical question, because of course you are’.
I remember her performing “Someone Like You” on some awards show and my 4-year-old daughter was on the couch SOBBING – “It’s so beautiful! SOB SOB SOB!” as though her heart been broken a thousand times and Adele was killing her softly. It was so sweet.

A local restaurant posted a weekly menu on Facebook this weekend that featured a rainbow background. A few wingnuts went magat deranger on the post. Support poc, gay and trans people, women and anyone else the magats and loons target. This was a brave move on Adele’s part in this political climate. The orange clown made the bullies feel free to bully.

Sharon Osborne is a hater and a ridiculous human being. Adele is from South London and has never claimed or pretended otherwise.
Her accent is born and bred North London. Same as Amy Winehouse. I know because I grew up in a borough that sits between where both ladies were born. Amy in Enfield & Adele in Tottenham (home to a massive Jamaican community)
Oh, the video with the cowboy hat boy was so sweet. Made my day. I remember how upset Adele was to cancel her shows. So I’m glad she’s able to perform them now.
