Robert Pattinson on his 3-month-old: ‘I’m amazed by how quickly their personality comes’

Robert Pattinson has been one of the faces of Dior for over a decade. It started when he got a lucrative contract in 2012 to become the face of Dior’s men’s fragrances. Now I think he just represents everything having to do with Dior’s menswear. All of which to say, Rob popped into Paris over the weekend for the Dior menswear show, and I’m sure this was contractually obligated. He and Suki Waterhouse welcomed their first child back in May. They had a girl, which Rob confirmed in Paris. He even chatted about how the baby already has a personality!

Robert Pattinson gushed over his and Suki Waterhouse’s 3-month-old daughter for the first time Friday at the Dior Menswear Spring/Summer 2025 fashion show in Paris.

“[Having a baby] makes me feel very old and very young at the same time,” the “Twilight” star, 38, said in a video shared on X, calling the little one “so cute.”

He continued, “I’m amazed by how quickly their personality comes. So even at three months, I’m like, ‘Oh, I can kinda see who she is already.’”

Pattinson and Waterhouse, 32, subtly revealed the birth of their daughter when they were photographed pushing a stroller in Los Angeles in March.

Three months does seem early to already have a personality, but I’m saying that as someone who doesn’t know much about babies. I’m glad Rob is a girl-dad though and I’m happy for him and for Suki. I also think it’s cool that Rob has basically taken paternity leave this year – he’s not rushing around, working on twenty different art-house movies. He’s just chilling at home with the baby. Good for him.

I don’t have kids but I have been around babies on and off for a significant portion of my life (I was a nanny for a bit of time). They definitely come out of the womb who they are. Even thinking of my brother who is now a 39 year old man. He came out of the womb a serious baby (we used to joke that he was a cranky old man in a baby’s body). And now he’s just a 39 year old cranky old man lol.

Think of personality as a spectrum … all the elements are there at birth–they are just blurry. Things get focused as they age (and with environment).

I’m so happy for Rob & Suki. Happy couple with a new baby. Looking forward to seeing Rob’s new movie in 2025 directed by Bong Joon Ho.

The baby whisperer used to categorize babies into four or five categories angel baby text baby grumpy baby sensitive baby and maybe there was a fifth one. She made the point that they could mix and match in certain areas like sleep or eating, but I found that to be generally true with my kids that they fell mostly into one category.

LOL, I’m guessing they have a very spirited baby, because everyone I know who has said this (myself included) means that their baby is a strong personality.

My older child came out of the womb opinionated and furious. He’s still hell on wheels almost 3 years later. My younger child is still a baby, and is a total potato, so we have much less of an idea of who she is.

My youngest was a potato baby also! He’s definitely still incredibly chill until he’s not and then he’s stubborn and ferocious. I feel like even as a very chill baby he would have moments where if he decided he wasn’t going to sleep or eat, that was fucking it. So I fully believe that you get a pretty good hint at their personality early on

He looks surprisingly washed and groomed here! This is one of the few times I’ve seen him where he doesn’t look like he’d stink to high heaven.
