This is a story that comes straight from OK! Magazine’s newest issue, and it’s called “Jen & Angelina: The Feud Is Worse Than Ever”. Sigh… you know where they’re going with this one. It comes straight off of Monday’s “ZOMG Breaking News!!!” that Angelina and Brad will not be attending the Golden Globes on Sunday because, duh, they’re not nominated for anything. OK took this story and made it into an “Angelina is so scared of running into Jennifer Aniston all the time!” story. After five years, OK wants us to know that “the bad blood has only gotten worse.”
It seems that time does not, in fact, heal all wounds, at least where Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie are concerned. Five years after Brad Pitt left Jen to be with Angie — and subsequently raise six children with her — OK! has learned that the bad blood between the actresses has only gotten worse.
The A-list enemies were set to come face to face at the Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills on Jan. 17, but shockingly, the usually brazen Angie came down with a case of cold feet.
While the official word at press time was that Angie, 34, and Brad, 47, wouldn’t be attending because the actor wasn’t personally nominated for his film Inglourious Basterds (the movie is, however, up for Best Motion Picture, Screenplay and Director awards), a source tells OK! the truth is that Angie does not want to see Jen — and that being in the same room with her is Angie’s worst nightmare!
“Angie knows everyone would be looking for any interaction with Jen,” a source says. “As strong as she may look, she’s actually very scared of Jen.”

Eh, I really don’t get this. Maybe it’s the tabloids’ way of “punishing” Brad and Angelina for not showing up, because if they did show up the tabloids would get to have a field day like they did at last year’s Oscars? Maybe. Or maybe it’s the truth, sort of. It’s never seemed to me like Angelina really cared one way or the other if she and Jennifer Aniston ever ran into each other. And it seems like Jennifer is doing more of the “challenging” and I don’t mean that in a bad way – Aniston has always seemed pretty ballsy about giving out the signal that LA was her town and she wasn’t going to hide away from Brad and Angelina. And she shouldn’t have to. Everyone should be able to be mature adults about this situation after five damn years.
In other Angelina-related news, Brad and Angelina have pledged their support to those hundreds of thousands of people devastated by last night‘s major earthquake in Haiti. The Brange released this statement: “We are devastated by the news from Haiti. We will work closely with our good friend Wyclef Jean to support the humanitarian efforts on the island and help those who have been injured and left without homes and shelter.” Wylef Jean, their friend, also released a statement: “I cannot stress enough what a human disaster this is, and idle hands will only make this tragedy worse. The over 2 million people in [capital] Port-au-Prince tonight face catastrophe alone. We must act now.” Wyclef is also taking donations through his Yele Foundation, immediately setting up a Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund that you can donate to here.

As for the Haiti situation, it’s awful and my heart goes out to the people of Haiti. Not only are many people dead, but now they have to contend with being exploited by PR hungry celebrities. Less than 24 hours after the quake and BRAND-gelina is already at it with their press releases. Shameless.

All of these earthquakes are horrible : ( In Northern CA we’ve had 3 since last week (very small 3.9-4.1) and Eureka (also CA) had a 6.5 and now Haiti has a huge 7-something and it’s really quite scary.

I know that nobody is interested in any opinion that deviates from the usual “Jen is lonely and vengeful and cries in her tanning bed” or “Angie is an angel and sprinkles the only love to be found across the universe”, but I actually have to call foul on this. If I were Jen, no matter of years could get me to love and respect the woman who came into the picture whilst I had no idea. And if I were Angie, six kids and one haggard-looking body would not make me want my current boy in the same room with his ex. Can we all just admit that? Aren’t we all devious women deep down inside? Is it really that outlandish of an idea that the two of them don’t like each other? I must be taking CRAZY pills, but I don’t see why they should love and admire each other by now. It would always be awkward.

Jen’s movies have been mediocre as of late, but she’s still a very famous celebrity, and award shows like people like that to show up and present. Look at the presenters for ANY awards show and you will see the same thing.

@ Praise, I get what you’re saying about the statement. Helping is wonderful, but the constant need to release statements to tell everyone they’re helping gets old. Raising awareness is also great, but couldn’t the statement have read something like Wyclef’s, such as “The situation in Haiti is terrible, please support Yele, the Red Cross, etc” instead of all the we, we, we stuff. Apparently a lot of the celebs on twitter and stuff did just that, which probably raises more awareness and gives people more ideas to contribute than anything else.
Nitpicky? Sure, and in the long run who cares, but it always just makes their actions seem a little less genuine to me.

Jolie is “scared” of Aniston? That’s the funniest story I’ve heard all week. Scared of what, exactly?
Like it or not, Aniston is an actress with a steady stream of movies to her credit, however crappy anyone thinks. Look at her IMDB page. She’s got about 13 projects that are either in post or pre-production. So what if her movies don’t appeal to everyone and so what if they don’t get nominated for Oscars? She’s in the same bucket as 98% of actors and actresses who haven’t won an Oscar and are therefore “deserving” of the chance to present at any awards show.
Are there any other actresses that have that steady stream of work anymore? The closest I can think of is Penelope Cruz, she seems to be all over right now.

Most of the presenters are going because they have something to promote (movies, tv shows, music, etc). I think it’s ridiculous to think they invited Jennifer just because it’s her. I’m sure GG assumed Brad and Angelina was going and hoped for the same buzz the Oscars got. Also they don’t attend unless they are nominated. When Babel got many major nominations, Brad and Angelina did not go to the Oscars and other award shows. Considering that Jennifer was visibly shaken when presenting at the Oscars, it’s more like that she is afraid of Angelina than the other way around.
Brad and Angelina have been closely involved with Haiti for years. So I don’t understand why people are angry that they want to help and released a statement. Wyclef also released a statement but nobody has a problem with that.

I would think in an extremely dire situation like this, a group like the Red Cross or Unicef, which deal with disasters like this all over the world, are probably the most effective, but there’s enough options for people to choose which best suits their wishes.

I think the Brange should go too, in support of Brad’s film. Even though neither of them were nominated (Brad’s accent was horrible in the movie) and I don’t remember Angie being in a film this year, but maybe I’m wrong. Brange send out a press release to announce their intentions, others just send a check, Sandra Bollock has twice donated 1-million to the Red Cross in times of crisis,without announcing it to the world at least Brange has employed an individual to send out a press release whereas many actors/actresses bypass this method and simply donate money..

Brangelina didn’t annonce anything – Doctors Without Borders (to whom they donated) did. There were also other names mentioned but Brangelina name is louder and their dontaion is bigger – that’s why they are in headlines while others are not.

First as stated above, I doubt either woman thinks about the other, in fact I believe if they ever meet, they will be “nice” to each other, as they both know how to play the Hollywood game.
Second, I doubt Angelina or Brad sent out a press release about Haiti, most press release about this sort of thing comes from the charities, to bring attention to the crisis, and using “names” assist in that.

Seriously, why do you get so worked up about people (Angelina or Jennifer), you will probably never meet in real life? They are probably both nice in their own way, and probably annoying in their own way, just like every one on this planet.
Bard left Jennifer, which must have sucked, but Brad has a right to be happy and he found that with Angelina, if he did not leave, he would have been unhappy, and made Jennifer unhappy. Sometimes, and I am not condoning cheating on anyone, but people do grow apart, and find out they want different things in life, it sucks but it happens, in this case Brad wanted lots of children, Jennifer did not, and the amount of children are, I believe the second highest reason why couples break up, handling money being the first.

And once again, no one is “hating” or “angry” that they’re helping, just annoyed by the wording of the statement and the need to issue a statement at all. Lots of celebrities and regular people are helping, but none of them have an US Weekly article about it.

I’m far more impressed with the US military men & women who were sent there immediately, and all of the relief workers risking their own lives to help others. Would be nice if people like that got media recognition for their work too.
Serioously why should Angelina be afraid of Jennifer Aniston? She is Angelina Jolie remember? She is an actress, Yes, but she has a life outside the showbiz. She is rubbing shoulders with prominent humanitarians, “real” journalists (not Hollywood rags), with politicians- some of which are or have been heads of states or government, and she is herself a member of the Council of Foreign Relations that is not allowed to everybody but I guess it’s a bit hard for Ok magazines readers’ understanding to reach!
Honestly if Jennifer Aniston wasn’t Brad’ ex, Angelina Jolie would have said Aniston WHO??? And even now I really doubt that she is granted any single attention from Brad Pitt’s true soul mate and mother of his children.
I don’t have anything against Jennifer Aniston. But I tend to get interested on what Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt do , rather than watching all the same romantic comedies by a 40 year old woman, or listening America’s Sweetheart screaming at Oprah’s that she did not do any boob job! That’s life, you are interested in those you look up to and not the others.
Anyway it’s just funny to think that exactly 5 years after Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s divorce, rags are still talking about the triangle! The big difference for me is that Brad and Jennifer Aniston divorced after 5 years of marriage. While after five years of relationship, Brad and Angelina didn’t break-up, and are parents to 6 children!

Comparing Wyclef Jean’s statement to theirs, it’s a world of difference. theirs really IS “me me me” whereas Jean’s is more “please help now”. it DOES make their desire to helpo seem less genuine.
There were 2 different statements!
One from Brangelina – “we’re so concerned, please help etc”, and the other one from DWB – about their dpnation. They were even posted as 2 diff news items for gods sake!

I would definitely take the gig of presenting for GG. GG is the fun awards show for celebs in terms of the after-party. As Helen Mirren said: they are the “loosey-goosey of award shows”.

hmmm why so angry that Brad and Angelina release statement about the donations to HAITE maybe they did it so that others will do the same thing only non-fans and haters are angry about it but most of the people are not in fact it was played in every media outlet. Madonna also release a statement that she donated but i didn’t see anybody getting mad about that!! Sandra Bullock and Giselle Bunchen too!!
