Here are some photos of Jennifer Lopez on the 24th, which was her 55th birthday. She spent her birthday in the Hamptons, posing with a giant birthday cake at home and then going for a bike ride. She also had lunch with some friends. Ben Affleck was nowhere to be seen, and at this point, I guess the conversation is “who will file for divorce first?” Because if that man won’t even show up for his Leo wife’s birthday, their marriage is in a very sorry state. Meanwhile, J.Lo is putting a positive spin on everything going on. She posted this message on her birthday:
I’ve been seeing all of your birthday wishes, beautiful videos, and posts all last night and this morning from all over the world. I have laughed, smiled, shed some tears, and when I saw the billboard in Times Square, I was completely overwhelmed. I really do have the best, most amazing fans in the world. I could never express how moved I am or how incredibly blessed I feel to have all of you be a part of my life. Thank you sooooo very much.

She really does have loyal fans, myself included. I think she’s an idiot in how she operates romantically, but I still support her, despite all of that. Anyway, it looks like the divorce announcement in her On The JLo newsletter is probably being typed up and vetted as we speak. How depressing.

It could be Ben didn’t show up, it could be that he wasn’t invited – neither scenario is very hopeful. Oh well.
They are dunzo. Im happy she’s on the way of getting over the greatest love story never told, has family and friends around her, and hope her picker gets repaired, or that she will live happily ever after without having to have a love story. Please never bring back Casper.

I’m sorry what? Ben moved out in April/May and is selling their house they have been house hunting separately, and there has been talk of Ben being escrow on another house close to his kids. I think people need to accept the fact that it’s over.
Natalie Portman was still walking around with her ring on for the media to see, and then Bam divorced. Reese Witherspoon and her husband kept up appearances with rings on but sold all their property and everything before the divorce.

Ok I will critique the outfit. I’m shocked at those shoes. I’m laughing at the giant letters on the side of the purse how tacky is that. I’m amused that the dress is a conservative style and pattern but she’s unbuttoned it so she gets the va va voom factor.

I disagree— I genuinely love when she wears a demure dress but unbuttoned too far so her surgically lifted, no-bra, perfect cleavage is out.
They were not together for their anniversary that says a lot more than a birthday especially when it’s only their second anniversary.

I’m not sad. There was a zero chance to make it. That fact they lasted long enough to pass the wedding ceremony was already mind blowing to me.
I wish her a happy birthday, I am so jealous of how great she looks! The marriage is over IMO, I never thought he was good enough for her in the first place but she was over the top as well. I hope that they announce it soon so there is no more speculation.
This is sad. I am sad for this. But that picture is the saddest, the one with the gorgeous cake and NO ONE around. I would not have advised posting it. My only thought is that if social media was part of the demise of their relationship, she is not posting and has not posted a thing about Ben or their relationship. Perhaps they are healing from that. Until they file, there is always hope. I think it is sad that a 55 year old can’t stay off social media. No matter how beautiful. And she is beautiful without makeup even. Ben has been to recovery, and I think JLo needs to go somewhere also. Imagine the withdrawal if her phone was taken.
I would be very unhappy if my husband or boyfriend missed our anniversary AND birthday. I am unsure what is going on with them, but if they are divorcing, I wish they would just rip the band aid off. I wonder who the hold out is?
Given both of their backgrounds, it could be 100% that they are waiting for the other to pull the plug. It could also be like someone mentioned above. Reese Witherspoon and her husband took a year or so to file because they were selling their properties and dividing up businesses before filing, which is why the divorce happened so fast.
They have the 60 million dollar house to sell, and Ben’s production company is producing a couple of JLo movies and any other business they might have together to sort out.
It only seems so long with Ben and JLo because they keep running to the media with updates, instead of quietly handling their business and then making an announcement.

She looks amazing! I love her shoes, which as a person with robust calves I could never wear. Whoever is styling her these days, is more than earning their fee. Still, I’d liked her to close just one more button but JLo is going to JLo.
Other than that, it’s really sad that all she did on her 55th birthday was to stage a bike-ride photoshoot and pose with a cake. I’m sure she had a party and all that, but (I guess) if it was a real happy day the carousel would just show that.
55 is a significant number! Until not so long ago, it was women’s retirement age in many countries around the world. And here she is, looking great… and still referring to herself as a ‘girl’.
