Donald Trump’s nephew reveals that Trump has basically always said the n-word

As we discussed, Donald Trump’s nephew Fred Trump III has written a book about the terrible, toxic Trump clan. The book is called All in the Family: The Trumps and How We Got This Way. Fred Trump released an excerpt of the book to Time Magazine, and in that authorized excerpt, Fred shared his uncle’s thoughts on people with disabilities. Donald Trump believes people with disabilities “should just die.” Well, unsurprisingly, the Guardian also got their hands on an advance copy of the book. Fred Trump also reveals that Donald Trump regularly said the n-word.

In a new book, Donald Trump’s nephew recalls the future US president, at the start of his New York real estate career, surveying damage to a beloved car and furiously using the N-word. The shocking scene appears in All in the Family: The Trumps and How We Got This Way by Fred C Trump III, which will be published in the US next Tuesday. The Guardian obtained a copy.

Allegations of racism have followed Trump through his life in business and politics. Rumours persist that tape exists of Trump using the N-word during his time on The Apprentice, the hit NBC TV show that propelled him towards politics, though none have emerged. Omarosa Manigault Newman, a Black contestant, has said she has heard such a tape. Trump denies it.

On Wednesday, in a statement to the New York Times, Trump’s spokesperson, Steven Cheung, called Trump III’s account “completely fabricated, and total fake news of the highest order”, adding: “Anyone who knows President Trump knows he would never use such language, and false stories like this have been thoroughly debunked.”

Nonetheless, Trump III describes in detail a stunning moment he says happened in the early 1970s at the house of his grandparents, Donald Trump’s parents, in Queens, New York.

It was “just a normal afternoon for pre-teen me”, Trump III writes, but then his uncle arrived.

“Donald was pissed,” Trump III writes. “Boy, was he pissed.”

Trump says his uncle showed him his “cotillon white Cadillac Eldorado convertible”. In its retractable canvas top, “there was a giant gash, at least two feet long [and] another, shorter gash next to it”.

“‘N—ers,’ I recall him saying disgustedly. ‘Look at what the n—ers did.’

“‘I knew that was a bad word.’”

His uncle, Trump III writes, had not seen whoever damaged his car. Instead, he “saw the damage, then went straight to the place where people’s minds sometimes go when they face a fresh affront. Across the racial divide.”

[From The Guardian]

Back in May, on the same day Donald Trump was convicted of 34 counts of falsifying business records, Salon published a first-person account of the first time Trump used that word on the set of The Apprentice. He did so in a closed, unfilmed meeting and he used that word to refer to Kwame Jackson, one of the contestants. The huffing and puffing from Trump’s team about how Trump has never, ever used that word means nothing. He’s used that word many times, in many different circumstances, over the course of decades. So much of Trump’s whole f–king deal is built on racism and white grievance and white fragility. That’s what he’s always sold to his cult, and that’s what his cult has always bought.

Basically every horrible thing that you can think of, this guy has done–and multiple times. He is just a monstrous person and the fact that so many in this country support him makes me sick.

When we were in IA a few weeks ago my FIL used the term “sand n-words” to describe Muslims and I’m still reeling from it. Maybe it’s just because I grew up in Massachusetts or maybe I live under a rock but I’d never heard such a vile phrase before.

    • Ameerah M says:

It’s unfortunately a very common racist phrase used for Arab Muslims.

      • Kitten says:

Sigh. So f*cking gross–and he said it so casually too so you know he says it all the time.

    • Chris says:

No, it IS vile, as is the JERK of the century. Hatred is always alarming, and you are correct–any negative thing you can think to do in life, Jerkface has done/said it-always and often.

    • Yup, Me says:

What did you say to him about it?

  2. Ameerah M says:

I wish I could insert the Cilla “Surprise, surprise” meme here.

    • Megan says:

I never understood by Omarosa was so obsessed with the n-word tape. I don’t need to hear Trump say that work to know he is a vile racist.

  3. sevenblue says:

The country singer who got recorded saying n- word is now the biggest country star in the country. It was the best thing happened to his career. This wouldn’t lose any vote to Trump. They like him exactly for being a guy who will say that.

Where were all these people in 2016?
I hate all the trump related people who keep their mouths shut until they have a book to sell.

    • Bev says:

It wouldn’t have made a difference in 2016 either. The reason this orange turd has been able to thrive is because of his deplorable supporters. If not for them he would have disappeared back to gator-infested Mar a lago a long time ago.

    Well, color me shocked. Shocked!

I hope someone doing ads for Harris can pull up copies of the ads that Trump took out in major NYC newspapers, where he called for the execution of 5 Black and brown teens — who were later exonerated.

With Trump — as many POC who tried to rent apartments in buildings managed by Trump and his father— the words and the actions are part of his whole racist, hateful package.

    • Kitten says:

Right it goes waaaaaaaay back. I remember twenty-something years ago I was talking to my brother about an episode of The Apprentice and he was like “why are you supporting the image rehab of that racist slumlord asshole?” I still thank him to this day for clueing me in because Trump hid it pretty well back then. I will never forgive that stupid show…

  6. MichaelaCat says:

I’m sorry but “Anyone who knows President Trump knows he would never use such language” makes it even more obvious.

We all know the way he speaks.

    • Bruce says:

You know how he speaks, yet you and all the other mental midgets support him. Who’s the cult member

  7. Becks1 says:

This is disgusting but not surprising. The man who got elected by being racist is actually…..racist.

  8. CLOVE says:

This isn’t new; Mary Trump said the same thing. As a person of color, I already expected that of him; hell, his dad was arrested at a Klu Klux Klan rally.

    • J says:

And despite all this evidence we have an Asian American spokesperson giving a full throated defence of No So Secret Klan member Trump. I wonder why that is…Asian Americans seem to have amnesia about his public reactions and maga reactions to the pandemic. It will be amusing when they realise lighter skin colour, wealth, and proximity to power does not insulate you from racism (see Rishi Sunak).

  9. Lau says:

I always thought that on the subject of Trump’s blatant racism the ad he paid for with his own money to ask for the death penalty against the Central Park Five should have been more than enough by now. There shouldn’t be a need for further proof.
