Vivienne Jolie worked as an usher at the ‘Reefer Madness’ reunion concert

Vivienne Jolie (Pitt) is a major theater geek. I realized that when she dragged Angelina Jolie to at least a dozen regional performances of Dear Evan Hansen. Vivienne’s theater-geek credentials are amazing – she was the one who went to an LA performance of The Outsiders and convinced her mom to step in as producer as the musical made its way to Broadway. The Outsiders just picked up the Tony Award for Best Musical too. Not only that, but Vivienne convinced her mom to attend the opening of Reefer Madness: The Musical several months ago. Vivienne is such a big fan of that musical, she worked as an usher at the reunion concert.

Vivienne Jolie-Pitt is hands-on with her desire for a career in the theater! The 16-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt appeared to work as an usher at the Reefer Madness: The Musical reunion concert on Tuesday, July 30.

PEOPLE was on hand for the event, which was held at The Whitley in Hollywood, California. That’s also where a hit revival of the show, directed and choreographed by Spencer Liff, is now playing through Oct. 27. At Tuesday’s concert, Vivienne was spotted helping people find their seats ahead of the reunion concert before moving to chat with some of the other employees during the show.

The special evening included songs and stories with the original cast members who starred in the musical 25 years ago, including Kristen Bell, Christian Campbell, Harry S. Murphy, John Kassir, Lori Alan, Stacy Sibley, Larry Poindexter, Samantha Harris, Aukai Cain, Elijah Myles Breckel and Paul Nygro.

Reefer Madness: The Musical originally opened in Los Angeles in 1998. A satire of the 1936 cult classic propaganda film of the same name, the musical comes from Kevin Murphy and Dan Studney, who collaborated on the show’s book and score. Vivienne previously attended the May 30 opening night of the revival, alongside her mother. They showed their support for Bell, who produced the musical alongside Alan Cumming and others.

Speaking to PEOPLE about the act of kindness, Bell — who starred in the original production as Mary Lane — praised the Eternals star, 49, for her “lovely gesture” of support. “She just said she wanted to come out and support,” she said. “Which I thought was a lovely gesture, particularly for a project that is launching in Los Angeles where it’s not the biggest theater community, or it maybe has a different identity than a New York community.”

Vivienne working as an usher to show her support for a reunion show in LA! That’s so cool. Angelina has said before that Vivienne reminds her of her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, and Marcheline loved supporting artists behind the scenes. I don’t think Vivienne has any desire to be on stage or act, but I bet she wants to be involved in theater as a producer/director.

The Dear Evan Hansen fandom is such an Emo Kid choice. I love Vivienne ‘s love of musical theatre. But, Dear Evan Hansen is terrible.

Too cute! It must be a big deal, Baldy Prince William was also an usher this year and we kept hearing about it!

She takes after her mom’s side of the family.

  4. Sue says:

Vivienne is adorable. She looks so happy at this event. Kristen Bell and Angelina in the same photo call is just pleasantly random.

  5. CJW says:

How does Angie manage to always be the coolest person anywhere she goes?

  6. CLOVE says:

I think she will learn all the jobs in theater and become a force as a director.

  7. Scilies says:

Kristen Bell is the worst. I have such a visceral dislike of that smug person and her gross husband.
