Ashley Tisdale is expecting her second baby with her husband, musician Christopher French. Their older child, daughter Jupiter Iris, is three. Ashley is pretty active on Instagram. She spends a lot of time promoting her “affordable wellness brand,” Being Frenshe, which is sold exclusively at Target. (Side note, I know it’s probably a play on her married name, but the intentional misspelling of the world “French” bugs me. Is that petty?) Ashley has also been posting updates about her pregnancy as it progresses. She’s currently in her third trimester, which, for most women, is an uncomfortable waiting game. On Monday, she posted an Insta Story about her current struggles and discomfort, sharing that she has acid reflux, swollen feet, and trouble sleeping. Basically, “everything hurts.”
Ashley Tisdale is sharing her struggles in the final stretch of her pregnancy.
The actress, 39, who is expecting her second baby, opened up about her difficult third trimester in a candid post on her Instagram Stories on Monday, Aug. 5.
“You forget what the end of pregnancy feels like,” Tisdale wrote while sharing a clip of herself appearing fed up and shaking her head.
“Acid reflux, everything hurts, feet are starting to swell and Insomnia. I’m trying to remind myself I’m almost there but I’m too tired to believe that 😂,” she added.
Tisdale, who is expecting her second child with husband Christopher French, previously opened up about her third trimester experience in a post on July 15.
“This third trimester is really putting me through it,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories at the time. “And there are also those pregnancy days where you are physically over it, in pain, and try to remember that it’s all worth it but then it’s met with this …”
In June, the High School Musical alum also mentioned having “horrible” bedtime symptoms as she shared that she “can’t get comfortable enough to sleep well” and had congestion. However, Tisdale powered through her pregnancy struggles at her recent baby shower in photos she shared from the occasion on July 29.
Appearing with her daughter Jupiter Iris, 3, as they sat together on white chairs in one photo, Tisdale wrote, “I didn’t get to do a baby shower with my first so this was so, so special to celebrate with all my favorite people. Thanks for all the love and support in so many precious moments 🤍.”
Other photos Tisdale posted from the backyard shower, which was held in partnership with The Honest Company and Target, showed her cradling her baby bump in a white mini dress by an outdoor table and a cute shot of Jupiter holding hands with her husband, 42, as they walked away together.
Oh man, I’m sorry she’s having such a rough go of it. Hang in there, Ashley, you’re almost there! I had a pretty easy first pregnancy and had so much energy that I was still exercising regularly up until two days before my water broke the day before my due date. My second pregnancy was a whole different story, though. Like Ashley, I was in a lot of pain and discomfort. I stopped working out and had no energy anymore by sometime in the middle of my second trimester. It was a completely different experience. My beloved pregnancy pillow helped me a lot when it came to sleeping, though. For me, it was the daytime hours that were the worst, especially when it came to sitting at my desk at work. I ended up getting diastasis recti, as well as a hernia by my belly button that I eventually had to get repaired. But, like she says, it was all worth it. For all of her discomfort now, I hope Ashley has an easy birth and quick recovery.
Oh girl, the acid reflux in the third trimester is REAL! Tums were my best friends. I had a melt down one night when I couldn’t find my Tums and my husband had to do an emergency run to the store to get me more.
My insomnia presented itself in me getting up earlier than usual (before baby, I was naturally a late riser). Not too early. Like 5am. And I woke up with a lot of energy and a great mood. Which was nice – it was spring/summer and it was light out early. I enjoyed those peaceful, tranquil moments in the early mornings before the little one arrived.
Acid reflux, heartburn, swollen feet, back aches, carpal tunnel, ugh! I had my first baby at 30 and my last at 35, and each pregnancy was harder on my body. Hang in there, Ashley. Post partum time is not easy either, but I was grateful that all the pregnancy pains were done.
